Aug 26, 2011I got an used E6. It has F-secure installed, I dont wanna use it and tried to uninstall it but cant. When I try to start the application it just says systemerror. In the appliaction manager I have an entry "Mobile Security" and as I have heard there should be another entry "Security Engine" that also is a part of F-secure. But I dont have that - I guess the old owner removed that and that is causing F-secure not be able to uninstall and not able to start it. Have tried to reninstall the firmware for the phone, made a har reset but nothing helps.

Sep 28, 2011My E7 on Symbian Anna, has since the update and in last 10 days started to suddenly restart - sometimes as many as 6 times during a short span of time. This happens on not on all days, and sometimes even when it is on standby.Today I happened to note that F Secure screen was coming after sudden restar and then back to restart again. Now it is stable and I saw that F secure was showing update to anti theft as of 28/9/11.So I am suspecting that may be F Secure causes the restart while updating.

Dec 22, 2011I have a problem on my Nokia E63 in that if I try to install sis/sisx (in other words, Symbian) apps on my phone I get a message saying the file is corrupted, and then the installation is cancelled. If I try to uninstall any sis/sisx apps already installed, I get an error message saying, "Removing failed". The problem started for apparently no reason about 3 months after I bought the phone new, prior to which I had no problem installing/uninstalling sis/sisx apps. No problem with Java apps they install/uninstall with no difficulty -- I have verified that myself.How do I solve this problem? I have searched the discussions forums, but can't find exactly what I'm searching for.I want to soft reset the phone or reinstall the current firmware. The problem with reinstalling the firmware is that I see no option given in Nokia Suite to reinstall the current firmware. Anyone know then how to reinstall the firmware?Otherwise, my other option is to soft reset (*#7370#) (not a restore to factory settings). But I have a few questions before I do that. I understand a soft reset wipes the phone memory.1. Will a soft reset erase the apps which were on the phone when I bought it, namely QuickOffice, Adobe Reader 1.5, Nokia Maps, etc?2. Will a soft reset erase Qt off of the phone?Can any E63 owner who has performed a soft reset (not a factory settings restore) on it, verify whether Quickoffice, Realplayer, Adobe Reader, Qt, etc. were still intact and working afterwards?

Dec 22, 2012A few months earlier I went to Nokia care because my phone had an issue. The problem was not fixed, and my phone was replaced by another Nokia E5. In this phone whenever I try to uninstall some apps an error message "Removing cancelled" is appeared, and the app is not uninstalled. Following seven apps are problematic:
1. Twitter
2. MySpace
3. Bloomberg
4. AP Mobile
5. Chat Apps
6. Hi5
7. Friendster
I uninstalled these apps in my old phone without any problem. I have reset the phone many times, and I have the latest version of the firmware.

Feb 24, 2011I have bought a Nokia E71 from a friend and when trying to download something from the Ovi store it asks for my user name and password, but says my user name and password are wrong and won't connect. I am using the same ones I use to connect to Ovi on my computer and it accepts them OK. Could this be because the previous owner's user name and password have been stored somewhere on the phone and as a security measure it won't let me in with my user name and password?
Does anyone know what I can do to be able to log in to Ovi on my phone so that I can download an application? The one I want at the moment is Sports Tracker so that I can check how many miles I do when going for a walk. I could perhaps find it online and download straight from their website, but I do really need to be able to download things through Ovi if required.

Mar 2, 2011My problem is, when the phone goes in an area where there's no service, the 3G icon shows up in the right top corner, but when I go back to the area that has service, the 3G icon won't go away and I can't make any calls nor receive. only solution is to turn off the phone and turn back on. can you help me about that, how I can receive service again without restarting the phone?

Dec 22, 2012My Nokia E7's Maps claims to be v3.09 12wk09 b05, MW OpenGL MN, Map version 0.2.47103 and 'SW Update' in checking for the latest improvements for (the) Nokia E7-00, says "Good news. Your E7-00 is already fully up-to-date."
Just before a weekly backup through Nokia Suite 3.6.36, I notice an opportunity to update the maps and, silly me, I decided to cheese the 'All' option erroneously thinking I'd have success updating 1,800+MB of map data; needless to say, at around 950MB or so, the error message of 'unrecoverable download error' or something to that effect left me with fewer maps than with which I began, including my local neighborhood!I attempted (several times) to download the map covering my local area and, when I tapped on the little red dot that show my current location, the surrounding vicinity is blank with the exception of several stars showing some of my Favorites.
Tapping the '-' to zoom out, however, reveals what appears to be street lines on half of the screen. Sure enough, there are some 'distant' Favorites, complete with streets but no street names except for major highways. Scrolling around leads to a screen freeze and even the lower left-hand 'x' to close fails as does any other attempt to close or even move to a different home screen. Closing the E7 and flipping it back open does nothing. Holding down the power button gives me three short, quick vibrations and then again gives me a reboot.
Back in Maps shows I have no maps at all; however, I can access Favorites in other countries. Downloading a map for the area where I live takes me back to my original dilemma where my current location is shown, but the surrounding vicinity is blank with the exception of several stars showing some of my Favorites, including those in different countries; however, even there not all streets/street names appear.Deleting that previously downloaded map and downloading it again makes no difference.
