Jan 18, 2012I am not happy with the adobe pdf reader le built in app because it is not so effective for viewing pdf files. So I just want to upgrade to adobe pdf reader le 2.5. But before buying the app I just want to check whether it suits my needs. So I downloaded a trial version from quickoffice and tried installing. I got "update error" message. So thinking the already installed version is creating problems, I uninstalled the pdf reads from my Phone and then again tried installing the downloaded le 2.5 version. This time I got " Unable to install. Install base pack first" message. What exactly is the meaning? How shall I install this app?

Nov 11, 2010I set up active sync for my C7, note that this implies automatic changes of your phones security settings, e.g. you are forced to set the security code of your phone. The timeout is fixed to 15 min, after you need to enter the code again if you want to use the phone!When seeting the security code you are forced to enter digit AND letters!I first tought it is a our corporate security rule, but IT department said no, it is the phone.Even worse when entering the security code it does allow only digits.If you keep pressing the lower right key, the alphabetic keys appear and you may enter a letter.(if you manage it you will need to send your phone to Nokia care, because it does not start anymore)Now when ever I want to access my C7, e.g. check my email, I need to enter the security code - accepted. However entering digits AND letters every time is quite annoying.

But: the code I used with Anna is no longer valid (I am absolutely sure I did not enter a wrong code) and "12345" does not work either. May 3, 2012Currently I'm not able to use a more advanced device than this Willcom WS011SH from 2007; it runs Win Mobile 6 Classic, lists below that CE OS 5.2.1433 (Build 17936.0.3.0) on 108Mb of memory.I devised a webpage for my ex- that translates often-used phrases into Japanese (since her bosses are Jpns), and IE was amazingly stunted in performance (e.g. can't drag/scroll), javacript, and css ... I read somewhere that IE Mobile 6 and 6.1 are just IE4 built into the hardware and called 6/6.1, and it's turned out to be nearly useless. Fortunately Opera 8.7 came with the phone, and that has saved this utility. However IE is the only program that will allow me to click an .mp3 link and launch a media player file; Opera can't keep up, and initiates downloading the file only, so while the utility works well in Opera, when the user wants to hear a phrase played back, it's tedious: she has to note the file name, press a few buttons to launch WMP, and find that clip in a list.
It seems IE mobile 7 and 8 weren't issued, and 9 ought to be advanced enough to run this utility, yet all the pages that claim to offer a download are vague and only point to other search sites, while news about IE mobile 9's performance are so vague and unspecific they remind of the machine-generated nonsense that I see now and then pretending to be tech articles.Any hint on if ie9 is real, and where it's available without charge? I found one site that offered it for payment, but we're pulling out of the Thailand flood of last year, and money won't be around for a while. Even though there are equivalent/better browsers out there, it seems IE is the only one that will launch the WMP, and I suspect any media player.

I can't tell you what icons vanished first, but certainly Blackberry App World was one of the first to dissapear, now my phone lock has gone although i can search it and its actually hidden, it won't un-hide...Blackberry App world doesn't exist at all any longer on my Bold and even when i downloaded it again, it won't appear.(not sure if there are other icons missing these are the only 2 i've noticed so far).It says i am running the latest software so i dont quite understand whats going on.I have rebooted several times, no luck.I have been on the Blackberry menu and looked for a way to unhide my lock icon and it wont do it.
