Cseries :: C6 With Belle Fails To Connect Via ActiveSync?
Apr 6, 2012
Using the same credentials as previously used (before belle) the exchange account refuses to connect.Keep getting "Invalid Exchange ActiveSync credentials. Check credential settings."I am using Nokia C6 and before I upgraded to belle (both with symbian and anna) I was able to sync my calendar and emails. But, after the upgrade I started to get the error.Recently I purchased my N8 for my wife and I thought I should try it out again on the N8 (that does not have the belle upgrade yet). The activesync worked like a breeze. Our company certificates require user to setup the phone lock code active. I was forced to do that on N8 as soon as I setup the activesync. But with belle, if I turn the phone lock off, it doesn't even prompt me for that. Right now I have the two phones setup exactly the same (with the lock code active). The N8 connects and syncs up just fine and C6 does not.
any suggestions what to do gratefully received have done the ususal, turn everything of and on, remove battery, all are charged ok but computer doesnt seem to recognise bb any more and cant connect
I upgraded an N8 to Nokia Belle, and am having great difficulty with setting up email. I go to the email app and ask to create a new mailbox. No matter which email address I put into it the only option is gives me is "Exchange ActiveSync". I cannot seem to be able to add any other kind of mailbox to it.
i was able to add exchange without any problem but when i go to the mail it will have error 'cannot get email'. i setup all the activesycn configuration in exchange 2010 and firewall ports. i have no problem connecting from my mac laptop with outlook-mac, it sync fine with calendar/contacts/task.
I am still on Belle. In the month view of the calendar, the little triangles on the days with appointments are all blue. Why will they not show as a differe colour even when I am using multiple calendars with only one e.g. Red calendar appointment on the day?
I also have that problem what can i do for this. I am using nokia C3-01 touch & typeModerator's Notes: This post was edited. A more appropriate subject was provided as it will be easier to solicit help from other users of the forum.
When I lunch my nokia store the screen be dark and nokiastoreclient is works in background. But store contents cannot be loaded. I tried to uninstall ovi store but I can't do it and the "removing canceled" message appears however in this case online installation is impossible.
When run software update on the pc i had to do some anna service updates, so i did them, no sign of belle. I went back on and still no belle update, it just says all applications are up to date.
I use wifi extensively in C7.I wasn't able to update my phone when the Belle Update rolled out. I have my another laptop and I checked belle on my brothers Nokia 701 it does seem better.
i'm using c6-01 and i checked for software updates. symbian belle appears. should i update it? i've heard some problems when they updated from anna to belle.
Before the unpdate, the phone had no problems connecting to my WLAN. After an upgrade with Belle, it is impossible to get WiFi to work : Although the roaming finds my WLAN, and after introducing the exact WEP key, I allways get a WiFi not found error. I allready tried all the tricks mentionned in different posts over here, without succes.
Until I updated my C6-01 to Belle, I was satisfied with the quality of the photos, given the known restrictions of the fixed focus lenses.
After Belle update, I have this impression that almost every photo I take is out of focus. I allways use the virtual button on the camera app to shoot photos, and not the physical button on the right side of the phone. I have not dropped my phone on the ground or something. I allways take good care of the phone.
A notice that each day a new folder is created on the C: drive of my C6-01 Belle. The name of those folders are dates, on the format YYYYMMDD, e.g. 20120410. The files on those folders have names such as ##-##.##_SearchServer.txt. Those are text files which seam to contain a log file.
This whole thing is quite inconvenient, since normally the mentioned folders have 6 to 9 MBytes. Every week or so I have to manually delete the folders, in order to gain space on my C: drive. If I don't do so, the space on the C: drive can shrink in a few weeks from the normal 190 MB to 20 Mb or so.
What the heck is this? Isn't Belle supposed to be a user friendly system? A system is not supposed to keep creating folders every day and leaving them behind as garbage. A 'normal' user would never have the idea (or the courage) to keep deleting system folders every week or so in order to gain space on the system drive!
I did the Anna update on my Astound, From information gathered on some forums, it did not install right. It has issues that it did not have before. Since Belle looks to be released in February, I am guessing that a phone not working correctly after Anna, probably should not take a chance on Belle?, In other words, An Anna update did not install correctly, there is no option to reinstall. That would make it very probable that Belle would not be able to correct that? or install itself properly? Doesn't a later update require a previous update to install correctly? I have been told that only Nokia can reflash my phone back to original, I live in the US, it looks like that would be unable to accomplish. I would have to buy another phone just to have this one shipped off.
Just updated to Belle and noticed with the opening tone that system volume was much lower than with Anna. Music and ringtone volume are fine, but applications that use voice or prompts (such as endomondo and language translator) are now barely audible.
i updated my phone to symbian belle, since then my wifi is not working, it dosent get connented, i tried everything hard reset, reinstalled firmware,..etc but nothing worked, evrytime i had to restart my phone to get it working, after restart wifi works for sometime initially but later problem bounces back again..it always show "connection unavailable connection failed" where as rest of my devices are working totally fine with wifi....is nokia going to do something about it
Recently on my vacation Ive realized it's time to reinstall skype after updating to Belle. At first I tried the nokia store client. Skype was there (so its supported for c7??) but after download it didn't initiate install. download error it said. I tried downloading it and installing through ovi suite on my pc but to no avail. It did start the install on the device but then said that this version is not compatible with the device.. ? on nokia store I am of course logged in and it shows apps for my c7 allegedly . I then went to the skype mobile website which didn't even let me download skype but also snarled at me that the device is incompatible. So my question is i guess
I have access to PC but it has no access to internet. I normally use my C6-01 as modem to connect to internet on my PC. So since it is rumoured that belle wont be available via OTA, is there any way I can update to belle using my Phone as modem? Or do I need separate internet connection?
Why Nokia is not giving Symbian Belle update for nokia C6-00 while Nokia 500 is running on same platform which is much cheaper than C6-00. I am using C6-00 from around 16 months and the software is really slow and it hangs multiple times in a day. Before purchasing this phone i suggest all friends to purchase nokia phones, at that time i was using nokia's low end phones but when i purchased this phone, it never gives me satisfation that i am using a smartphone. So i am making plan to move on to some other brand.
I was always using my C7 and 5800's audio/video cable to play music on the gym's speakers. But, after Belle update, audio & video connection together work, but to only audio (for the speakers) the phone isn't responding anymore.
I recently updated to belle on my c7 and im missing large analogue clock widget also there is no weather widget or different sized music widget, is there anywhere i can download these widgets cause i cant find them on the nokia store either, so much for 5 different sized widget options ha
Yesterday night I was trying to install Nokia Belle on my C7 through Nokia suite. However, in between the installation process, my Nokia C7 went black and the installation could not be completed.
Since then my phone is blank. Now, when I hold the power button, the phone vibrates but does not start. The white charging light on the top blinks for sometime and then stops and nothing happens.
I believe it is a software problem as the phone is not starting even after charging my battery thru an external charger.
The original software was Symbian O3. Can I do a hardware reset? I can live if the phone data is lost.
I updated my C7-00 to the latest Symbian^3 Belle version yesterday. I haven't had much time to try it out but the first impression was that my phone was improved.
Now, I realized that my Original Nokia WH-205 Stereo Headset suddenly has stopped working i.e. they are not recognized by my C7-00 after the update. Why is this? I had no concerns before with the original Symbian^3 firmware or the Anna update either. Still, I can hear music with the standard headset that was included with my phone (Nokia Stereo Headset WH-102) and also with regular 3,5 mm earphones from a different manufacturer (Creative). I don't understand why the WH-205 don't work when the others seem to do and be recognized by the phone?
I'm 100% positive they are not broken as they worked perfectly fine just a couple of days ago when I could even make phone calls.
Should I roll back to Symbian Anna or is there some way of fixing this via a patch or manually?
