Phone numbers and names from my contacts whether it is saved or not doesn't show on my screen whenever I received a call. I cannot return important calls most of the time.

View 7 Replies View RelatedAfter rebooting my phone last night all the existing messages and phone logs show only the numbers and no names or photos. When I go into the contacts I can see the contacts and numbers but there is no link between the contacts and the messaging or phone app.

When I get texts they pop up on the screen as soon as I get them. This is bad because I have weirdo friends who send some weird messages and I dont want my parents or my little brother to see them. I had the same problem with my old C902 phone, I dont remember how did I did this. and Its different brand to brand.
How do I get it to just go to my in box instead of popping up on the screen? It is an HTC Touch phone.
For incoming calls, it is said that the route is busy for the caller. For outgoing calls, the calls are dropped within seconds.

I don't know why is this happening but when someone calls me his number shows up rather than his/her name. and yes, i do have the person in my contacts this happens only on some contacts, some work fine, i don't know why my contacts got all ported from my simcard to phone card from old sonny erricson and appear just fine in contact book.

This is especially annoying as the same problem blighted my XP and is one of the main reasons i chose to upgrade as was struggling with ram issues anyway.

What is going to be causing the phone part to freeze? I also have wifi on most of the time....
If a call comes when listening to music over earphone, the ring is not audible over the ear phones, the music just stops, while the phone rings from the external speaker. The sound just comes to the earphone when the call is received. Also, the calls cannot be received by pressing the hardware key on the ear phone receiver.

If I go to the Phone app, under Recent I see all my other calls - incoming, outgoing, and rejected. But it doesn't show me my missed calls. So once I dismiss the notification I have no record of the missed call.

When I receive a text from one particular contact in my phone book, the number displayed is a combination of 4 different numbers, all of which belong to different contacts in my phone book. When I reply the text is sent to the first number of the four which is not the contact who sent me the text! None of these four contacts are connected, nor are they adjacent in my contacts list! I tried deleting the contact affected and then adding back in but this did not fix it. When I choose to "save" number, next window opens and it is asked to enter the First name etc. And again - whatever I type, I can't see it. When names are entered, next thing to do is press "OK" and the contact is saved to phone memory. And, yes, finally it shows everything I have entered - contact's name, number and other details.

Sometimes the call would last for long too, but frequency of disconnection was more. I gave it to nokia care. I have a Galaxy S5 and when I want to put my passcode in the numbers do not show up they are just shown as blocks, also the pull down text where you look at your recent emails, voice mails shows as blocks not text, phone is fine on all the other pages, text shows perfect.
