I bought a new Bold 9650 in China and tried to register with China mobile but they don't support 96 and 97 series. What can I do now to get my email on my phone? Are there other providers in China that support BB services?
View 2 RepliesI'm going to be leaving for Europe soon and have a couple of really long layovers. I was hoping to be able to watch a couple of movies on my blackberry while I wait. I thought I would just watch something out of my Netflix account but they will not stream movies outside the US due to licensing issues. My question is this: Is it possible to watch streaming movies while outside the US and if so, by what means?
Also, one more question, I had heard that I can't use Skype from Europe to call another Skype user back home in the States. Is that true?
I have an unlocked Blackberry Bold 9560 from Verizon wireless. I took the phone with me to Israel and got a sim card and blackberry service through a carrier here called cellcom. Everything appears to be working fine except for SMS.When I text some people they never get the text and I get no bounce back informing me of an error. On the other hand some people I can text fine. I think the problem has something to do with the country code and the leading 0 infront of all numbers here. All the numbers are stored in my phone as such.. 052-796-0124. The country code is +972 but does not need to be dialed. I can call these numbers no problem from my address book, but when I text there is no problem. When I recieve a text from people who I myself cannot text, I can reply no problem to their inital text. I cannot start a conversation however. I have tried playing with those smart dialing settings. I changed the country to Israel and have tried leaving it as a USA number and saying the numbers are 9 digits and to not dial the 1. Neither option works.Any ideas here?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have recently installed the latest update on my torch, and when the process has been completed I can't access any of my email accounts or several other apps i.e. fb, twitter, rss feeds, etc.I have looked through the forums and followed the steps of registering through the mobile site, but none of these methods have worked, as an error message always appears.I have also found whilst running the diagnostic that the 'blackberry registration' field is 'no'. I have tried to register the devise using the host routing table method, but this isn't giving me any results!

As checked in various forums, I did follow KB00510- to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network.
I also tried to follow KB05000 but couldn't becuase I was never able to set any Internet service e-mail account. I also tried following KB02830 - sending the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service but couldn't because I don't see an option of choosing Internet mail account. When i click setup-> email accounts, it automatically takes me to enterprise account. I also tried doing it from provider's website (url...) but the dialogue box asked me repeat the step of registering at Host routing table, which i already did earlier.
I have a BB 9630 Tour Verizon which I am using in India on the Vodafone network.The phone was working fine for the first 10 days or so.I am unable to use the data services on the phone for the past 7 days. I have checked with vodafone and they say that they have checked their systems and as per their system all my services are active.The have asked me to hard re-boot the phone by removing the battery and SIM card. But this has not solved the problem.Then they asked me to go to options -> advanced options -> host routing table ->register now. The screen then shows "Registration message sent". But nothing happens beyond that and I have not received any message from BB that my phone has been registered.

So my individual email account on our web server recently got messed up. All emails up to a certain date (let's say Sept 2012) were wiped out. My backups are spotty, there's no copies of my emails on the server, nor on any device (all my devices are IMAP'ed to the web server).
My blackberry has a copy of all my emails, but I don't know how to copy them back onto the server. Is there any way I can reconcile it up through IMAP? Or can I export it to Outlook, and then force it there back onto the server?
I switched from my Nextel 8350i to the new Bold 9650 on Sprint. So they had to switch networks for me. I already had a sprint.blackberry.net email established over at Nextel - but when
I go online at the sprint.blackberry.com site to add my emails - it won't let me add this one - if I put in the info as an established email - it asks me for the server name. I talked to tech support a good 40 minutes with no help what so ever! I even looked into it like they may have canceled my email - but when I enter it as a new one it says it's taken. So anyone know how I can add my existing blackberry email account to this new phone/network?
Wondering if any of u have gotten ur verizon 9650? If so have u noticed ur trackpad left side being higher than right? I ask becuz as we all may know the sprint 9650 has that. Doesn't bother me...nor do I think its defect.

View 4 Replies View Relatedno matter what settings I use on the 9650 "Memory" settings. I cann't get any computer (Windows 7 or XP Pro) to recognize the device as "mass storage device" so I can access the memory card. There is plenty of items on the card, and I can access them fro mthe decive, but the computer won't "find" it. This is with DM 5.0 and 4.7, on windows XP Pro and Windows 7.

View 13 Replies View RelatedI purchased the 9650 bold a few weeks ago. I do not do a lot of texting, but when I do, the texts are pretty long. On my old BB I hit the back arrow key and it saved to draft, (i would often have 4-5 texts in draft before I sent all out) If im not mistaken you cant do this on the new 9650?? Do I need to get an application to assist with this? ANy suggestions? Sorry if this is a rookie question but...Im a rookie when it comes to these phones.
View 11 Replies View RelatedWhen I upgraded my 9630 to my new bold 9650 I had a 16gb micro sd card in the 9630. I copied all of the files from my card to my computer, put the 16gb card in my 9650 and formatted the card. I then copied all of the files from my computer back to the sd card and put the card back in the 9650. All seems to be ok, I have my pictures etc. When I go to connect my BB 9650 to my computer I get a message on the BB that says: "Content rights do not match this device. Please insert the media card back to the right device." this only happens if I have the memory option set to "Auto enable mass storage mode storage set to NO" Any ideas?

Is anyone else having trouble using the "Vibrate in Holster" setting? My 8330 would automatically switch to vibrate when I put it in my holster that has the magnetic closure. My 9650 fits in the same holster but doesn't seem to switch to vibrate even though I have that setting chosen under my sounds profiles.

Anyone else have this problem? I usually sleep with my Bold in bed with me (who doesn't) lol, and have been waken up many times to a sizzling hot phone. like burning up hot. I put it on the nightstand and seems to cool down. but I always slept with my tour laying next to me in bed, and it never got that hot. Please let me know, or test this theory tonight Just want to make sure it is not a bad phone or battery. thanks for your time.
Not being weird its my alarm clock and i don't have a nightstand on my side of the bed and I sure as heck am not leaving it on the nightstand with my wife's bold. mine needs comfort lol. Also i realize this may have been posted before, but i am more looking for 9650 specific threads. and more charging specific threads as well.
Is the keyboard on the 9650 exactly the same as the 9630? Or is it the same as the keyboard on the 9700? The keyboard on the 9700 is much nicer in my opinion to that of the 9630 as its a little wider it seems and keys seem a touch bigger.
