I just got the Torch and love it but the one thing I miss about my iPhone is being able to go to the top of the page instantly when browsing. Can you do that with this phone?

View 10 Replies View RelatedJust taken delivery of a Torch 9800 , and am trying to browse i'net using Wif-Fi only (NOTE : I'm currently trying to browse internet without SIM.just using Wi-Fi Hotspot at home)I was able to do this, then applied a number of updfates to the handset. Since which time I am unable to browse the internet.
Have removed service books, restarted the device (battery pull) Have removed the hotspot profile , restarted device (battery pull) Totall out of ideas. This device is running OS 6, but I recal lin OS 5 there was the option to force the browser to use hotspots .
Torch 9850OS 7.0.0 When someone calls me and I'm on the internet, my phone just rings on their end and it doesn't show anything on mine. Then I'll get a voicemail notification from whoever just called.I have never had this issue before with a BB and I've had 6.
View 7 Replies View RelatedAfter I recently updated my OS on the Torch (and had a ton of issues with the battery drain) I have noticed that occasionally when I am on the web it removes hyper links -- like if I'm reading a news story and it has a link to a previous story it's just blank. Or if I'm on Facebook (the mobile web edition, not the app) it has blank spots where my friends names would normally be. I can't click on a link, even when I know it's there, so the link is not only hidden but not useful.
It's happened about 5 or 6 times since the upgrade. I do pull the batter and do a reset and everything goes back to normal, but that gets annoying after awhile.

To browse the web you must use wi-fi or contact your service provider to chase your service plan."My service provider says that all settings on their side are OK and doesn't know how to help as BB has no helpdesk in Czech Republic. Browser works properly with wi-fi only. Incoming and outgoing e-mails work in BB as well.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was having some problems with the browsing on my phone, so I called my carrier for support and they instructed me to pull the battery and the sim card. When I put everything back in, it told me I was using a new sim card and to enter my blackberry ID. I tried what I thought it was, but it said that the username/password I had entered wasn't a valid ID, so I emailed my carrier and was instructed on how to reset the password, and now I can log in with my blackberry ID on the computer just fine, but when I put it in my phone, it still tells me that I'm not entering a valid username/password. I'm stuck on this page and can't use my phone, and if I try and sign out, it tells me "Signing out will require erasing all data, so settings can return to factory defaults. After the restart, sign in with a BlackBerry ID to associate it with this smartphone."

I would charge it overnight and then in the morning I would try to do something basic like checking my email, making a phone call, etc. and my battery would die...so badly that the phone would shut down. I tried to rectify this problem, thinking that it was the battery so I removed the battery from my older curve and placed it in the new phone. That was unsuccessful. I went for a couple of days by just constantly plugging in my phone whenever I needed to use it. In any case, the night before I went to the sprint store for service, I uninstalled all user apps thinking that it may just me an app that I downloaded that is draining my battery. Not only did I have the same problem, but then after that I lost all internet connections meaning that in the top right corner of my phone I had NO bars and only a big X. I could still make calls and receive calls and texts. I spoke to a customer service tech who then after a series of trials decided that my phone was just dead. I received just today a refurbished blackberry curve of the same type and guess what? Same problem...phone battery dead. It happened right after I reinstalled Pandora, Blackberry Messenger, and Facebook. Could one of these apps be killing my phone?

This sounds totally "noobish" but, for some reason my "Weather" app has jumped from the homepage native app group on my 3GS to the second page. Is there anyway to get it back on the homepage where it belongs? I've tried to drag it drop it on the homepage but it no workie!!

On my iPhone4, I have 3 pages, 1/2 filled with apps. Is there a way to move an app from like page 3 to page 2? (The reason this came up is because I have my sports apps all together on page 2, and another sports app on page 3 so I can't seem to get it over to put it with the others.)

When i connect my nokia 5630 to my computer via usb, my pc detects it but before i can begin to install it, my pc crashes. Also, sometimes my pc doesn't crash ( i dont know why) but even then when i connect the mobile to the pc via usb, my pc continusly tries to install it as new hardware instead of detecting it in Pc Suite, and even then it never detects or installs it...
