Nov 9, 2012Anyone else out there own a 700? This thing is just a disaster! I've owned Nokia phones (an no other make) for over 10 years, but this is by far my most disappointing experience. I am at wits end and near the tipping point (of purchasing an iPhone 5).Nearly 1 in 5 times I use the darned thing it crashes. Also, my icons for search items are gone (except for restaurants). I restored the phone and now it won't download any maps! I used to have complete maps for the USA, Canada and Mexico, but now it will not even download the USA.I can not download the latest firmware (version of Symbian). My phone says it is up-to-date, but it is not. I do not have a PC so I can not use Nokia Suite (why? Nokia, get real and write a Mac version already).
When I reboot my phone it will not receive voice mail or text messages! I have to reboot it again.Why is this phone so buggy? I'm sending it in for warranty repair but I don't think I want this or any Nokia software phone. I think I'll try a Nokia Windows phone if Nokia will give me some credit for this phone and allow me to apply it towards the Windows versions. I mean seriously, Apple has their bomb proof software that works. If there is a bug, give them a week and there's an easily obtained update. I'm not an Apple fanboy, but I'm being driven away. Can someone help me make this right? I'm sure whatever Nokia tech looks at my phone will say it is fine, it's the software that is uncooperative.Anyone else with a 700?

I understand they are receiving my outgoing text, but i do not receive any incoming text from them. Sep 30, 2012For the past 4-5 days I have only been receiving some of the emails that are on Yahoo Mail when checked online. There doesn't seem to be a pattern. Two emails from same sender - sometimes only one will be on BB inbox. There are not any filters set up on the BB.I have tried resetting to factory default and restoring to a backup from BB Desktop. I can send emails fine from the BB - sometimes the auto BCC works sometimes not. The Torch is about 11 months old and worked perfectly prior to this.

Did something change recently on Hotmail's server?I called AT&T today and tried a few things and it looks like my Hotmail messages are coming in faster but still taking at least 5 minutes.My Exchange messages come in a lot faster as expected.Anyone else have this problem? I did delete all my accounts at least twice today. At one point only one email icon would appear (not including the messages icon) but after deleting the one that didn't appear, it fixed it.Hotmail still slow though.

Nov 29, 2011Last week I did a device software update, I am currently running OS 6.0, Bundle 2949. First of all, my Twitter and Facebook Apps were downgraded to versions from when I was still using my BB Bold. More annoyingly, I lost some languages on my device. I had Spanish, French, Italian, German, English and Dutch. Since the update I have Russian, Greek, Dutch and English (US and UK), but I cannot add or delete any of these through desktop manager.
I tried deleting and adding in the same update sequence. I tried deleting only, then I tried adding only, and every time I get an error saying the action (or update) "could not be validated due to unsatisfied dependencies." So then I tried deleting a regular app, thinking maybe there was an "unsatisfied dependency" in an app. Same error, and nothing happened. And the same again with a different app.

Sep 6, 2011I can receive emails that contain other languages, like chinese and korean. However, well I reply emails in those languages, people only receive symbols. I try to send it to my own email address as well, I also only receive symbols, like question marks. I'm using rogers but I don't think it has anything to do with the carriers because it was okay before.
