So I can receive texts from everyone in my contacts and who I normally text, but this one girl in my contacts has been telling me she receives my texts but then complains when I dont answer her, but I have not been receiving these texts. So I am curious as to what could be the problem with my Iphone 4? Ive updated it to 5.1 today to see if that was the problem but we are still having issues, and I also checked that she is also using verizon.

So I just got the phone tonight and everything works fine except I can't receive text messages. I can send them and my friends get them, but when they reply it gets sent to my old phone which is an iPhone. I don't know if this is an error on Verizon's part by not setting it up correctly, or if I need to do something with my iPhone to stop the messages from being sent there. I plan to go back to Verizon on Monday, but if I can fix the problem now it would be much easier.
I originally had a Verizon blackberry phone. Then I unlocked it, gave it to my sister, but then at first when I tried to call her new ATT number, I couldn't. If I called from the phone to my house. The caller ID was my old number?. Even when I texted it was my old number even with her new SIM card in it. So then I tried playing around with mobile network options. I found a way, kind of. This is what I did
I Cannot Receive SMS Text Messages Sometimes, (Once In A While It Will Work Fine) Unless I Reboot The Phone. Then It Receives Them All Very Quickly. I Am Running V. 5 .0.0.807 (Bundle 1402, Platform 3.2.0.31)
I have only had my Blackberry since Friday and I haven't received any text messages that people have sent to me. I have spoken to Vodafone who say that I needed a new sim card as the one I have, I have had for 13 years. I picked up the new sim today and still no text messages.
My phone won't receive text messages. However I can send them.I first thought it was the sim card, so I got myself a replacement simcard from my provider (VOdafone NL) but that didn't work.
I upgraded my iphone last week and have not been receiving text messages since. i have a 3g & undr settings have imessage off, mms messaging s on , group messaging is off.
My wife has a 3GS with a strange problem: starting about a month ago, text messages send to her phone number vanish into the void -- I my phone they go as imessages and show as sent, but she never sees them. Several of her coworkers have startet to complain about the same thing. I can either just pick up an old conversation where she was texting me from her phone and reply, or start a new text and pick her iPhone's number, either way it looks to me like it was sent but she doesn't see it.
if she sends me a text, I see it, but it says it's from her @me.com email address. And if I send a text to her @me.com email address she gets it on her phone. But almost exactly no one ever thinks to sent her a text at that email address instead of her phone number...
We have an Xperia X10 mini pro that can not receive sms/txt messages. We already received a new SIM card and the problem still exists. Can this be in connection with a message: the memory will reach its limit (or somethign like it)
I have recently changed to a Samsung Galaxy s6. I have a friend who has the s4 and every time i text her she does not receive my texts. I do receive her text messages fine it' s just when i send a message she doesn't receive it. I am able to call her fine.
