May 2, 2012So I can receive texts from everyone in my contacts and who I normally text, but this one girl in my contacts has been telling me she receives my texts but then complains when I dont answer her, but I have not been receiving these texts. So I am curious as to what could be the problem with my Iphone 4? Ive updated it to 5.1 today to see if that was the problem but we are still having issues, and I also checked that she is also using verizon.

May 26, 2012I can't really receive any messages. It's all delayed. I'm from Philippines. my iPhone had been unlocked since my mom bought it in USA. I can't receive any messages here in our province but when I'm in Metro Manila, it's working.

Ideed, i have a message like that : "message memory full" i delete a lot of messages, i don't have any video or pictures, my memory is not full, so i don't understand why it's like that. May 3, 2012My wife has a 3GS with a strange problem: starting about a month ago, text messages send to her phone number vanish into the void -- I my phone they go as imessages and show as sent, but she never sees them. Several of her coworkers have startet to complain about the same thing. I can either just pick up an old conversation where she was texting me from her phone and reply, or start a new text and pick her iPhone's number, either way it looks to me like it was sent but she doesn't see it.
if she sends me a text, I see it, but it says it's from her @me.com email address. And if I send a text to her @me.com email address she gets it on her phone. But almost exactly no one ever thinks to sent her a text at that email address instead of her phone number...

Feb 6, 2010I have a 3.1 Firmware JailBroken by Blackra1n since it was released.2 weeks ago I lost the ability to send and receive text messages, I'll send them and no error shows but the person never receives them and I never receive theirs, NOT a network problem as far as a can tell. I want to restore it but am afraid of losing 3.1 and having to upgrade. THE REASON I want a jailbroken iphone IS for MYWI, sharing my internet connection with others.

Dec 2, 2014I recently discovered that I am not receiving text messages on my iphone 6. I also found out that the text messages I thought that I was sending are not being received by the recipient. I an however successfully sending and receiving iMessages. I purchased the iPhone 6 in August and didn't have any issues sending or receiving texts until about two weeks ago (early November). I have iOS 8.1.1.Â
So far I have tried the following with no results:
-turned phone off and on
-reset network settings
-Removed and reinserted SIM card
-turned imessage off and tried sending texts
-turned on "Send as SMS" in message settingsÂ
None of these troubleshooting efforts have been effective. Something that works?

Jun 24, 2010I replaced 3 iphone 3g's with 3 new iphone 4's on my family plan. 2 of them are working just fine. The other one is unable to send or receive texts or mms. Anyone else having this problem? Or anyone that can suggest how to fix this? I wonder if I might have misstyped in the ime or SSID info on the at&t page incorrectly on that one unit. This is a non jail broken phone. Just a regular 3g.

Mar 31, 2015I have not had any trouble sending text just receiving them. I have only been notified by one person using an android that they had sent a text which I did not receive. All other text issues have been sent from iphones which my children have. I contacted Straight Talk which is my carrier and they told me that if I could send a text to myself and receive it then it was not my phone. I had a Samsung Proclaim previously and did not have any trouble. I have sent a text to myself as Straight Talk suggested and I received it fine. Both phones were/or are on the Straight Talk plan using verizon towers.

Mar 26, 2012I have one problem with my AT&T iPhone 4. I send texts to people and they don't receive it. It sends but the person doesn't receive it. This is multiple people on different networks. Sometimes I don't even receive their texts. I did a little research and I learned that it isn't an issue from Apple but rather AT&T. And this has been going on for a few weeks. Should I contact AT&T about this?
