Whenever I click on a really large web image (10+ megapixels) it automatically zooms in in the browswer, and whenever I try to zoom out, it doesn't let me, or it let's me a little, then zooms back in. Is there a fix to have all images automatically fit to screen?
View 1 RepliesSince the ICS upgrade everything is smoother but I recently noticed that the only thing that remains the same is "pinch to zoom" in images. It feels like is not using hardware acceleration or something, for example when I pinch to zoom in chrome or the stock ics browser it feels really smooth, but when I do the same from the gallery app, or camera app, it is totally slow.

I'm running 8.1 DP but I don't believe I was having this issue before and I don't believe I have had any recent big falls or jolts to the phone that might cause mechanical problems and I believe the zoom works fine in still pictures.

Digital zoom is so stupid - I can duplicate the effect of digital zoom by cropping the photo with photoshop afterward. Not only is digital zoom in effect the same a cropping a photo, but because the photo was cropped from the get-go, you have LOST information that you might have wanted. What if you "zoomed in" and took the picture, but mistakenly chopped off the top of your subject's head? That portion of the head was actually being perceived by the camera's sensor, so you could have had a complete photo, but it is now lost forever thanks to digital zoom.

There seems to be an invisible line and whenever i'm in my browser whateber is below the invisible line is a duplicate copy of what is on my browser. So as I scroll down it looks like I'm scrolling down on 2 different screens! it's weird, it hasn't really affected my day to day it's just annoying. For those of you with an iPhone 4, open your camera app. Compare the zoom for pictures vs video. Why does video appear to be more zoomed in? It doesn't detract from quality, does it?
