BB Torch :: Unable To Hear Caller Via Handset To Communicate
Nov 9, 2012I cannot hear callers on handset device and must turn on speaker to communicate.So privacy is compromised whenever I need to talk on the phone, as it will be on speaker mode.
I had tried all the following and nothing works:
- make sure Bluetooth is turned off
- removed battery and put back after 1 ~5 mins
- Do backup, update the latest software and restore

Apr 24, 2011I purchased this phone when us cell had them on sale for a penny.All was good until about 2 months ago when the phone started acting up.every few calls i make or recieve i am not able to hear the person on the other end until i turn off the phone then power up again.and now when i plug the headphones in to listen to music it will dial the last number that was called/recieved and thus makes the mp3 player useless.I have reset phone to factory and still have this issue.motos troubleshooter cant even help me.needless to say i will never by another moto phone again.

There is no ringing noise and when the person answers they can hear me but I can't hear them. A lot of people who are experiencing these problems usually put their phone on speaker to hear it but I can't see my screen so I can't do that.

Jun 20, 2011My torch is too quiet for me to hear. Ringtone speaker volume is cranked all the way up. Yet I am still not able to hear the ringtone.I noticed that the alarmclock is way louder.When comparing with HTC desire my Torch volume is at least 4-5 dB less. That is a big difference. I consider this a design error, as too loud a ringtone could easily bee prevented by a reasonable default setting and avoided by user adjustment.
