What are the steps that must be taken to unlock a BlackBerry with the error: MEP code (0 left) with RIM? How much does it cost to unlock the Mep counter? What are the conditions for using this service?

I would like to get a solution as to who do I need to contact and where do I need to send the torch. I brought it while on my honeymoon in Spain and live in Romania.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had the Torch since the release date and fortunately I haven't had any major issues with my device, however I've noticed that there is a tiny gap between the lower left side of the bezel and the device's body. It never really caught my attention until I started typing a lot on the physical keyboard. Basically when ever my left thumb presses down on the lower left side of the bezel I notice that it slightly moves up and down and creates a soft click noise. I'm just concerned that the bezel may get worse over time. The right side of the bezel is perfectly snug against the rest of the phone but it's just the left side of the bezel that seems very slightly elevated from the phone's frame. Has anyone else noticed this on their torch?

The Competition was sponsored by RIM & AT&T.Phone came with no contract and no commitements.I want to give this phone to father as a gift(lives in othercountry) but I don't have a unlock code. Could someonetell me the best possible way to get it?AT&T gave me hard time and said they dont have the unlock code and asked me to contact RIM?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI was able to Sync my contacts on my new Torch 9800 from MS Outlook but then experienced several "pocket calls" even with the Phone Lock feature ON. So I activated the 4 digit security code feature that requires entry before making any outgoing calls to resolve the "pocket call" issue, but now when I try to synch my contacts it asks for my 4 digit security code. I have 10 attempts to get it right but it doesn't recognize the security code on my PC. I am linking via the USB cable directly to my phone. Anyone know how to resolve this?

As every other touchscreen phone on the market has a pattern unlock method, this is the single issue preventing from purchasing this phone(s) PLEASE ISSUE AN UPDATE/APP/PATCH anything to bring this vital security & efficiency issue up to par.

I am thinking the safest way to not have a problem is the just restore my 9800 data from a back up rather than do the Switch Device thing. Anyone worried it might bring erroneous crap into the new 6.0 OS.
Maybe it would be better to redo my settings after the data install to make sure all is clean and working correctly. Some of the 5.0 setting would not be applicable to the new 6.0 software.
Title speaks for its self. They just posted on there wall they will be offering it. No details as to when/price.

My school e-mail is weird because when I go inside everything looks exactly like gmail but it isn't exactly gmail beacuse you can't sign on from www.gmail.com. Gotta go through the school website. Sometimes you can see them in the preview area but when you click on them you get a weird icon that looks like a wheel. Sometimes even in the preview area you cannot see the pic at all.Still on the official OS that came with the phone. Does anyone know what the problem is? I recently swapped out to a larger memory card but I had the problem on both cards.

As you already know, the ring volume on the Torch 9800 is extremely low. So I tried to email custom mp3 ringtones to my phone to use instead. In attempting to do so, I received a message saying "More request cannot be completed. Service book information not found." I also received this message when trying to email a photo to my blackberry. This never use to happen in past blackberries I have owned.
How do I fix this "service book information not found" issue ?
I have bought a Torch, but cannot get it to set up in the Organizer configuration to sync with my Calendar in MS Office XP- Outlook. My computer runs Windows XP. The contacts and memo will configure (although) they are posting to an archive folder and when I try to change that I get Error 0x80043bea), but the Calendar and Tasks will go through the set-up process, but when you finish it, the checkmark on those 2 Outlook folder disappears before you can even select the advance settings.I have re-set the configuration on the Desktop software a couple of times, to no avail, and uninstalled the Desktop 6.0 software and reinstalled it. None of these measures have changed the problem.Any suggestions?

The phone wil enter bedside mode and i get a message stating that the phone will not charge. I am able to charge the phone without the dock using the exact same cable. The retailer isnt willing to assist in this matter as they say it is something I need to take up with the manufacture.whats wrong or how to make the phone charge?
