I recently bought my blackberry torch 9800. So far I am not in love with it. I really wish I would have gotten an iphone. But for now I am going to use my BB.how to manage my ringback tones? I have some downloaded already I just want to change it. It was always under the Audio menu in my other phones but I am having no luck finding it.

So i cannot use any phone numbers that have a zero in it. and if i make an error on someones name that im tying to put in i cant backspace the name to correct it i have to exit out of the whole program."

The option Turn on/off key tones (in Typing and Input > Keyboard ; Select the Key Tone checkbox) works only for the alphanumeric key board, but not for the numeric phone dial pad.
Ok I have noticed that on the Torch the text tone is the same for everyone even if you assign a ringtone and tone for message for a contact. Before on the 9700 when you received a text, e-mail whatever tone was assigned to that contact came through. I guess that feature is gone.

Does any body know how to manage of RAM on e63 to increase the performance.coz my phone(e63) is too much lose of RAM. In idle it's about 57 - 62MB free RAM(i use nokia email that always run in b'ground) when i run another apps like ucweb and nimbuzz in the same time,it's going too slow for typing.when i checked my RAM it's about 42 - 45MB free. However, I cannot delete any RSS feeds. And I cannot find any app or setting to manage them. In addition, setting up the update interval for RSS feeds would be helpful. The RSS widget does not seem to comply with the "widgets offline" status. It updates the feed every 4 hours regardless of the widget settings. I am using a Nokia E7, but I assume that this applies to any Symbian^3 device with PR1.1 installed.

I thought I would be able to copy over a playlist from the computer but that does not seem to be the case, every time I do it no matter what the format is it always ends up being deleted.Now I am actually reading the owners manual and it says this: Tip You can also create and use folders to organize your music inside the Music folder you have created.This would be super easy to create playlists by if I could figure out how to brows the music by folder and then add all the music in that folder to the playlist. Anyways its on page 133 of the manual if you have any questions. So what would be the best way to create playlists of something that is in a folder on the phone?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for a computer program similar to ITunes for the Ipod that would let me manage music.
I want to be able to play audio books on my Blackberry and listen to the whole book in order. I have taken a book on 5 CDs and ripped it to MP3 format. On my hard drive each chapter resides in its own directory and is identified as Track 1, Track 2 etc. Then the next directory is similarly named. When I pull them into my Blackberry all of the Track ones are together and then all of the Track 2's etc. I'm looking for some way to manage this and other books.
The way that comes to mind is to label each track in the first directory with a letter from the title say "J" and then followed by a "1" for disk 1 and then the second disk would all have J2s etc. I can do this if there isn't an easier way.
Second problem is that I have no clue how to create Playlists and copy selected titles to those playlists. Again a program like iTunes makes this pretty easy for the Ipod but I don't suppose iTunes works with the Blackberry. I put just one book on the Blackberry and managed somehow to get all of the chapters into a playlist when I discovered the ordering problem. Assuming we can get around that by renaming starting with the first initial of the book title, I'm not sure how to select the files for a given play list especially for multiple books.
This is my first time here and I'm not even sure what version of the Storm I have. It was one of the first ones with a touch screen and no keyboard. Perhaps I should just use the iPod.
Is there a way to set default values for all email accounts/IM applications in a profile? Instead of going and adding the notifying sounds for each email account?
I have 7 email accounts coming in and I just wiped my BB clean. Will have have to go an individually tweak all 7 accounts?
I do not get a tone when I receive an email message. I get a very short bleep for a text. Is there a way I can manage ring tones so I may choose a tone for each function. That is email, text and phone call.
