BB Style :: Get The 'Favorites' Section To Default On 9670?
Aug 1, 2011
Is there a way to get the 'Favorites' section to default on my Style 9670 when it is opened instead of the 'All' section. I have looked through the manual several times... could not find.
I need to have a Sprint BB Style 9670 unlocked to use on Canadian CDMA networks. It doesn't have a SIM card. Anyone have this problem or can point me to the proper way to unlock it? I chatted with Sprint but they don't want to do anything.
I bought a blackberry style 9670 2 months ago and had to return it because it was freezing up on me and not allowing me to use the phone for up to 5 minutes at a time.I get a new one and now the same thing is happening with this one. I'm missing calls and text messages because the phone is frozen.
I've recently purchased the Style 9670 and am having an issue with MMS. With my old BB Pearl, there was a specific menu option to send an MMS (vs SMS), and there were folders for In/Out Box for MMS messages in the "View Folder" option under messages. The Style advertises that it can send MMS, and I have In/Out Box messages for MMS in my Folder View (in the Messages application), but there is absolutely no menu option that I can find anywhere to send an MMS message. It's not under "Messages" and it's not under "Text Messages". It also appears that I cannot receive a MMS. I'm not talking about just sending a picture or video via text. With the Pearl, MMS allowed you to send a text greater than 160 characters. I am on a BB Enterprise server at work, and my IT guy doesn't think its security settings that are interfering. Sprint says I'm on the correct data (BES) plan.
I've tried more than a few times to scan a barcode image with the scanning app on my 9670 and I can't get anything to happen? What kind of confirmation am I lookung for when scanning?
I brought a bb style 9670 sometime back I was using sprint as the carrier n now I shifted to India and I want to change the carrier available over here?
When I connect the USB cable the desktop software identifies the phone and then tries to connect, but get a communication error and say that it cannot connect. I've tried the troubleshooting steps as well as a complete re-install, and hard reset of the phone all with no positive results.
So I won a phone from Blackberry and I went to activate it on sprint today and was told that the serial number on the phone does not match the phone model. I have a 9670 and it comes up in there computer as a 9330. What can I do. I tried to contact blackberry but I can't find the right number to call.
I am a seasoned BB user, I cannot get the desktop manager to recognize my new Style. I believe that it could be a driver issue because it wont recognize my Bold either. I have reloaded the software on this PC but my USB ports are working fine. I have reloaded the software 3 times. Also, using the desktop loader on the phone is indicates no option for the 9670 phone.
I have two email accounts on my 9670, one for my son and one that is mine. My son's receives and sends messages fine. The other day, after having both email accounts on my phone for several months, mine will no longer send/receive messages. When I try to send something it says my account is invalid. I went to the setup and clicked on the icon for email messages, that took me to the screen that allows you to choose from internet mail or the blackberry enterprise mail. I highlighted the internet mail but it will not open when I click on it, it does not respond at all. The accounts is a yahoo account and it is still accessible from my other computers. I have tried taking out the battery and restarting and that doesn't help.
I updated the software on my style 9670 yesterday about 11:30am, and since then my email does not function. I have rebooted, but this did not solve the problem. I deleted the email from the phone and attempted to setup the email up again, but it was not accepted. What is my next step?
I have a BB 9670, OS 6, I keep getting an uncaught exception application net_rim_bb_dryad_daemonlib (321) or (329) is not responding process terminated error...what is it and how do I get rid of it? I'm on Bell Mobility, not sure if that's important or not.
I have noticed that if you are not using Samsung's default messaging application that you will not receive any "edge" notifications from your 5 favorite contacts. Need getting these to work if Hangouts is set as your default SMS application?
When I "Set default action" for my contacts in favorites , for example "Call Mobile" it doesn't stick so to speak. After I complete this task, when I click on a contact icon, it brings me back into the contact details instead of calling the contact as I specified when I set the default action.
Also, when I "Edit tabs" in my Phonebook, I put my favorites first. However, it always goes back to the phone tab...any input on that?
After finally convincing my new Style to sync with my BES service (had to sync with a NEXTEL device twice before the BES server caught a clue), the Desktop mail account chimes with Sanguine Remix when new messages arrive, at the default volume of the selected profile. I've tried changing the playback sound for all obvious notifications in the selected Profile away from Sanguine Remix and the sound played back as Sanguine Remix isn't associated any longer to any of the Profile's options.Any ideas where the sound notification can be changed for the Desktop (BES synched) account? Right now I have to mute all ringers (Silent sound Profile) in order for it not interrupt my sleep. I get hundreds of alerts every day and even with Exchange rules marking messages as read and moving them to a specific folder other than the inbox, BES is catching a small percentage before Exchange marks them as read, and doing what BES does best, forwarding the messages to my phone.
Neither my hotmail nor gmail accounts have this problem since they have an option in profiles and I have configured them to remain quiet.Under Messages-Notifiers for selected Profile:Email: gmailEmail: hotmail Level 1PINtext MessagesVisual voice mail I am going to try Phone Calls Only and edit It to include Text Messages. Maybe that will squelch the BES notices.Sprint Style 9670 6.0 Bundle 1609.
Is there any way or apps to change the default font style/character of email? As we know default font style/character for email on Blackberry is Times New Roman 12.
I have a Nokia 5230 (RM-588) with firmware 20.0.005 and Ovi Maps 3.04. Memory card is Kingston 8GB. I downloaded maps that I needed and everything is working OK from that point.
Here is the problem: I search for an address (offline), Ovi Maps finds it, I rename it and save it to Favourites. I repeat that with some other addresses. Then I turn off the Ovi Maps and navigation and after I start it again, my folder Favourites - Places is empty. Any idea why the Favourites are not saved ?
After an issue with my N97 where I was unable to do any backups from the phone to the internal memory card, I reformatted and reinstalled the apps to my N97 (making sure I did a backup using PC Suite before hand).
Upon restoring the PC Suite image, I found that it didn't restore the list of favourites which have meant that I've lost them all - I'm sure I remember that the backup to memory card did make a copy of them, but as I wasn't able to do this, this wasn't a possible solution .....
Luckily, Google Maps have most of my starred items (favourites) saved, (barring the one I managed to unstar by accident), but it appears as if Google doesn't store the actual co-ordinates and doesn't allow them to be exported ... So in short - is there anyway at all I can get my favourites back ?
My blackberry style with sprint keeps locking me out it won't accept my password. This is the second time in 3 days. I don't want to wipe out my info again. What can I do?
I contacted Sprint to find out if the style had voice to text and they were not sure but suggested I try this side. if there is a download or setting where I may send text messages with voice.
