How do I get my 9530 Storm to automatically download graphics/pictures in any emails that I receive? I'm sure it's something simple but I can not seem to figure it out.
View 1 RepliesI have a BB Storm 9530 and whenever I open an email message, I have to select "view images" from the menu. Is there a way for all of my email messages to automatically open and show all images like its HTML? Even when I set the email setting to automatically show images, I still get those little squares that have mini blackberrys in them.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've read all of the posts about time zones NOT changing as you travel, but I have the opposite problem. My BB Storm will momentarily update to Eastern Time, then immediately go back to Central Time. Considering I live smack in the middle of Central Time, this is a bit "Twilight Zone". It also seems more prone to doing this when I'm in an area where I know my phone service goes in and out. Anyone else run into this?
Options -- Date/Time -- TimeZone -- Auto Update TimeZone "on"
I just changed the Auto Update to "off" and updated the software (now v5.0.0.328, platform 4.2.0.128), so I'm waiting to see if it does it again, but I'm hoping someone can tell me what's going on. I'd kind of like to go back to the Auto Update On.
I own an unlocked BB Storm (9530) and have been unable to send and receive MMS messages. Its now on AT&Ts Network and I talked to them about it they made it out to be that I needed a data plan. So they signed me up and I thought all was fixed. But I soon realized that was not the case. I cant even select to compose MMS text. I now have unlimited messaging and am on their BB data plan.
I have looked up on a lot of forums on what could be the problem and have d/l the service books and registered the HRTs and did a battery pull without any luck. I have noticed that I do not the MMS service books (MMS Client and MMS Transport). I was curious as to why I don't have them and if I could get them. Also during my last update (V5.0.0.328 Platform 4.2.0.128) I noticed I lost my browser icon. Was that supposed to happen or did I mess something up?
I Have A BlackBerry Storm 9530 And I Can't Receive Text Messages From 2 People.There May Be More But These Two Are The Only Ones I Know Of. I Can Call Them And I Can Text Them , They Get My Messages I Just Don't Receive.

View 6 Replies View RelatedFor the past 3-4 days I've been having problems with emails being deleted from my handheld that I didn't actually delete. I have it set to keep messages for 30 days but emails I got on Thursday and Friday are already gone. When I deleted something else today I noticed that the saved messages I had are no longer on my handheld. I saw on another thread to increase my memory but it's currently at 39 for applications and 866 for the device.do I need more and how do I get it? If not is there something to do to?

I would call myself on the technical side, but am just not sure of how one smartphone can do it and one cant. Not bashing RIM or my storm..and not looking to transfer over to the iphone - just interested in knowing why and if there is, or will be some BB that can offer this.
eg.. what hardware makes this achieve-able? can RIM at all add this to future BB's.
I feel it doesnt have to do anything between CDMA and GSM, I could be wrong, Im sure there are a few members on here that can help clarify.
I am using a Storm1. As you know this weekend BIS did an upgrade. At the same time Verizon dropped Yahoo as their e-mail server.I went into BIS and made the incoming and outgoing changes. It took and I resent a service book.I haven't been able to receive e-mail since. I can send e-mail but not receive.I've done a wipe and everything else I can think of. Any ideas?

For some weird reason theres some pictures I can't and can send thru MMS. Some will go thru with no problems, but some nothing happens when I hit the send buttom. It just stays there. My question is why some are ok and get send, But some wont? Is it the file size? I would appriciate any explanation.

I went to my email settings on My Blackberry and put in what I thought was the password, but that failed. I tried a couple of others, but those failed also. Then I went to the Blackberry Internet Service website and reset my password there, but it still did not work. I noticed when I went to "Account Details" on the Blackberry website, the password was only 10 characters long, nothing close to any passwords that I might have used. I have Verizon Wireless, but should maybe mention that my email address has been supported by AT & T U-Verse for the last few years, and one month ago I cancelled U-Verse internet and went with someone else. However, I can only send emails to contacts with a saved email address or reply to emails that have come to my inbox. for example, I receive an email from a friend, I can reply just fine. If I type that email in the "To" field, the envelope icon to send the message is grayed out. I resent service books, per another thread, but to no avail.
View 6 Replies View RelatedUnlocked my verizon bb storm yesterday. It is now an AT&T carrier bb. It made/received calls all day.
Updated the phone via USB cable to the latest software.
Didn't notice anything was wrong today at first. Set my email up today, and it works great along with the txt messaging.
However I cannot make or receive calls. It keeps saying "Congestion". I have called AT&T and they say there is no congestion in my area and told me they can't help me because this phone isn't for at&t and blah blah blah.
I don't know what to do now. Any ideas of things I can try?
I do know that I had to make room for the update and barely had room if this means anything.....
I love my storm and my vzw service. All except vzw decides to just send crap to my phone I don't want. Is there any way to get rid of theses auto downloaded crap? Also I have deleted a ton of stuff from my phone and I cant seam to get my available memory to increase any at one time I had 20mgb available not I'm lucky with 14mgb
View 4 Replies View RelatedTwo days ago I got a replacement iPhone 4S from Apple. Now, my IMAP email account doesn't get emails automatically like it once did. Now I have to open up the mail app for my IMAP emails to download. This wasn't the case 2 days ago with my other phone.
I have 2 email accounts, the IMAP account and a gmail account through Exchange which is working fine.

Keeps going from the black screen to a white screen with the little spinning clock and back? WHat happened?! I don't have insurance on the phone, but I don't think its an "insurance" issue as I didn't do anything. Is it still under warranty since I've only had it since Sept?

Ok this is my situation. I have a blackberry curve from tmobile. My sister got a new phone so she gave me her blackberry storm 9350. I went to a cell phone shop around my area and they unlocked the storm so i can use it with my tmobile sim card. I put on the sim card and i thought everything was working perfect but then i found out that i have multiple problem.
The good: I can make calls, i can use the internet.
The bad: when i place a call my sister number appears in the other person phone (not my tmobile number), i cant call my voicemail, cant setup my email, cant receive calls and more problems i still havent discovered lol.
I wish there was an easy way for me to portray the amount of disdain I have for my Storm at this time, however, that won't do me any good!I'm just looking to get some insight to my problem and whether or not it can be resolved! It would be really unfortunate if I had to replace my lump of a phone as I am a college student that just moved away from home and am in the middle of my two-year contract.My phone is still in operating order minus the faulty touchscreen, it still receives messages, emails, and even phone calls. All the side buttons work, in short, the screen is just dead.I did not drop it nor spill any liquids on it and I've performed a plethora of battery pulls. I'm at a loss!Let me describe the events that occurred before (seemingly) death of my touchscreen. I was at a friends house preparing for a 9/11 5k race when I noticed my battery was running low so I left it in a safe place to quietly run out of steam because I had no need to carry a phone during a race. At this point it was still fully functional. After the race, I check my phone to see if it was out of power yet which it was. I get home later that night and charge it only to rudely surprised by an inoperable screen. I cleaned the screen and did a few battery pulls afterwards in hopes it was only a minor problem to no avail.

I was also in a moderate car crash the day prior so perhaps that may have caused some problems? Externally, my phone is in mint condition. I suppose this just hasn't been my week!
When I open my emails I can't view any of the graphics and have to click on to the links to view on line. I didn't realize this should be until I was using someone else's BB! What do I have to enable in order to see the emails properly?
