BB Storm 9500 :: Sounds Set Ring Tones And Alerts
Feb 21, 2010I cant change or set the ring tones and alerts on my phone. I go to Sounds scroll to Set ring tones/Alerts, click on but nothing happens. It just sits there with Set ring tones/Alerts highlighted but doing nothing? It used to work ok and I have used it to change and set ring tones in the past but now nothing happens. It never moves from that screen. Any ideas you clever clogs out there?

Aug 2, 2011My phone no longer rings, but the settings have all been verified as normal. No special ringtones are involved in fact I mostly have defaults everywhere on the phone. I have only seen the typicaly answers assuming people have not checked the simple tings or the others that say BB has this major flaw and does it on its own and only a full reset (whatever that is will solve the problem. Is there any simple way to change this obviously commonly reported flaw without removing a battery?

Jan 28, 2010I have searched the forums for this and found only problems on the storm 1. I have just switched to the storm 2 after having the storm 1 for almost a year. With the storm 1 almost 95% of the time all I could get the phone to do was the default BB tone for sms,mms and email tones. No matter what I did. Now with storm 2, I thought i would finally have a phone that you could customize the alerts for sms,mms and email.Nope, 99% of the time, just the default tone for all three even with different tones selected and saved.

Mar 16, 2011My Storm 9350 turned itself off and the red light came on. Then started to reboot and stopped and the red light came back on. Tried multiple battery pulls and tried to connect via USB to the computer but it will not sync being that the phone is not on. Currently charging it now but all its doing is turning the red light on and off like ever 2 minutes.

Jul 10, 2012I use SA to turn off my Ringer Volume, Cellular data and start VIP caller mode. The triggers are Timeframe and Wi-Fi connection. I use two different ones, Sound Weekend and Sound Weekdays. Both have different time triggers but the same Wi-Fi connection. They do turn off correctly but here is the issue, they do not return the Ringer Volume back on. I had both the time triggers on one SA then when this happened separated them as above. I did not have this issue until ICS was installed.

Mar 11, 20152 weeks ago my wifi wasn't even turning on, no matter what i tried, the wifi button was always on off.
Then today it just randomly worked and I was able to turn on my wifi, it allowed me to use my wifi network for 5 min.
I decided to turn the wifi off then on again, and now it doesn't scan for networks. So even though my wifi is on, there are no list of networks I can choose to join.
edit: Smart network switch is always off, because mobile data is always disabled for me, Also i cannot find reply button.

I go to my quick data button and it shows that data is off, but on the top of the phone it shows data is on. The only way to stop the download is to turn on airplane mode.

In lollipop after some seconds of inactivity wifi was turned off, that was proper behavior I guess... It is not working in Marshmallow.

When I go to battery details the first thing to appear after charging the phone to the full is Wi-Fi to 1%. The time running increases little by little, no CPU usage and the computed power use also rises in mAh as time goes by.
