I think this is security problem since people's can see the contact name and number without unlock the phone, also I tried and it is able to call. I'm currently out of the country and have data services turned off. Had to redo settings. iMessage for phone number is now unverified and "waiting to be activated". It works with my email, but not my phone number, which is what most people have. Is there a way to verify phone number when the phone data is turned off? Or can I only receive via my email address until I am back in the US

I sometimes experience heavy echo.Often, it's when I call my mom's verizon land-line; her cordless phone is connected to a medical alert "fallen-can't-get-up" device so I kind assumed it was related to that.Recently, however, I've had sporadic echo talking to other users.
Just now I turned off noise suppression and turned on call clarity enhancement.However, it occurs to me that since I have another LG G4 on my account and also a samsung, I should do some comparisons between the phones to make sure it's not my phone.
When I place a call on my iPhone 4 I now can't hear the caller on my iPhone unless I shift to speaker mode. The phone works fine with both blue tooth and ear buds and plays music over the speaker just fine. But if someone calls me I have shift to speaker mode to be able to hear them. I've confirmed the volume is up, I've tried turning off the phone and turning it back on and I tried before and after syncing.

I've got an S5 (Verizon) with Lollipop, but this issue has been going on, at least a little, since 4.4. When I try to place a call, the little phone icon in the notification bar pops up for an instant and then goes away, and it never goes to the call screen. It usually just takes 2 tries but, especially when clicking on a favorite to call, it can take 3 or 4.
This is pretty irritating when I'm dialing a number, because once I try to call it, the number disappears and it doesn't appear in the recent call log, so I've got to punch it in again. I tried using a 3rd party phone app but it didn't make much of any difference.
I used to love my Photon. Lately it just seems to be working worse and worse. My latest frustration is this:I make / initiate a call from my phone. I get the phone screen. In the corner its says "connected". I can't hear anything at all on the phone (BT or otherwise). So I hang up. I place the call again. I get the phone screen for a few seconds, again hearing nothing only this time it spontaneously reboots.his happens I would say once a day, and I don't really make all that many calls. I'm also getting other random reboots, but I've not found a pattern for those. They just happen here and there. I can't remember the last time I made it through a day w/o my phone rebooting itself.
Then there's my battery drain issues. Today I lost 30% in about 1.5hrs and I wasn't even using it much. I went to the battery usage screen I see this:As you can see... less than stellar performance, and what the heck is "Media"? And why does it appear to be using my battery so much? I actually had a pretty light day on my phone to this point in the day and my battery is just evaporating.I tapped the graph and see that this thing is "Awake" almost constantly. I seem to remember a time, before the "Media" thing was showing up, when my phone was only "Awake" here and there.
So, I took this screen shot (below) a minute ago (after it spontaneously rebooted while I tried to call my wife). I tapped the "Media" item on the list and it shows a bunch of items. I frankly don't know what any of this means. I did some research on-line and there are endless threads about this "Media" problem, and much of it does not lead to a successful conclusion. I have to say, this Android phone thing is not impressing me so far. I've been a "techie" guy since the DOS days, but this just feels not-ready-for-primetime. I really don't want to have to reset my phone and re-load all my apps, and reset all my accounts, etc... Frankly I shouldn't have to. I'm just frustrated I guess. I don't know if I have a hardware phone issue, a hardware battery issue, a software issue, some crazy app causing problems

Previous to my Verizon S6 getting the 5.1.1 update my phone would drain about 2% per hour on wifi. But now it's all over the place. On my work network it's still around 2%, but at home or public spaces it can get up to 4%. Is there anything I can do about this? All of my settings and appa are the same as they previously were.

Up to a few days ago Siri worked just fine. Now, it doesn't.Â
For some reason when I say "Call my wife" Siri can figure out who my wife is but cannot find the contact information and says there is no phone number listed for her. But when I look at my contacts myself I see the phone number right there. And, when I say "Who is my wife?" Siri then says that there are no contact details for my wife. Siri says my wife's name but no contact details! There ARE contact details though it is just that Siri cannot find them for some reason.Â
Why is this? I never changed anything on the phone in the last few days. It just suddenly stopped working.

My iPhone 5 has an account through ATT. I just found out today that for the past year, my phone was forwarding all my unanswered calls to another number.Â
My phone's call forwarding feature was NOT turned on. I never called in to set this up with ATT. They have no record of this being turned on and my phone was never sent a PIN code for authorization for turning this forwarding on.Â
The number my calls are being forwarded to answers as a female robot voice (similar but NOT the same as the ATT voice) which speaks my number to the caller. However if I call the "forwarding" number directly... busy signal. Needless to say I have never seen this phone number before and its not an ATT phone.Â
I'm posting this because ATT and the carrier responsible for the forwarding number, broadband.com, are so far mute on this issue. I am getting zero resolution but I consider this a grave security issue.So my best theory is some app has switched this forwarding on but the phone shows as if forwarding is off.Â

Before, I used iOS 5.0.1 and wifi would keep turned on when the phone sleeps if I turn off data. This way I could always receive instant notifications. But then I sold the verizon phone and bought a used FU one, installed with iOS 5.1.1. Now wifi is automatically turned off when phone the sleeps, even when data is off. Is this how it works? Because I want to use wifi, even when the phone is off.
