I recently bought the Blackberry Strom 2 9550 from Ebay(Verizon wireless Unlocked) and I am using this in Saudi Arabia on the Mobily Network(a Local Service Provider).I have subscribed into the BIS plan and have set up the email and everything works fine,But I can't see the BB maps(I have tried the show all on the homescreen but still nothing) application to use the GPS Maps (I don't know if this could be used). The only application it does have is the VZNavigator which I believe works only in the U.S,Is there an alternate application that I can install to use GPS Navigation(Google maps doesnt work either)? Or is there device software for Saudi Arabia that has all relevant applications?Secondly when I do try to login through the Facebook allplication it says connection error, is there anything I can do about this.
FaceTime is not available in Saudi Arabia.How long the service is not available are tired of prevention for this servicewhich is considered separately from Apple for customers.

I recently got a Storm 2 9550. Verizon is service provider. BB Maps was working OK when I got it.
Last week I upgraded to 5.0.0.607. Now BB Maps shows only a yellow screen with no maps. I have tried everything I could on the boards, reinstalled a couple times. Still no luck.
My browser and email stopped working about 3 days ago and I spent almost a whole day on the phone with support, no help. They had me do everything including delete all my service books and now there is nothing in the host routing table. They finally said, we cant help. My phone is stuck on lower case edge and I cant get data.
I am having trouble trying to use the Voice Dialing feature on my phone.It used to work fine, but now any time I try to access the Voice Dialing, it goes to to the Voice Dialing screen, and it starts Initializing/syncing, but it just backs out back to the main screen.I've tried using convenience keys and the touch screen to access Voice Dialing.Nothing works.
I got an email about an update for BB Maps so in following the directions I mis read them and deleted to BBMaps. Now I can't find a link anywhere to get it back? How do I reinstall BB Maps?THE BITTERNESS OF POOR QUALITY, LINGERS LONG AFTER THE CHEAPNESS OF PRICE, IS SOON FORGOTTEN.
I had a problem with the GPS function of Google maps and read somewhere that I needed to re-install BB Maps to get it to work.I have removed BB Maps from my phone (and Google maps) and have tried to re-install BB Maps from the website (and from the email method). The install claims to be successful but BB Maps is not installed, when I check the applications from the options menu I can see that an application called "ibs_ribbon" has been installed but no sign of BB Maps?

Got this the other day while trying to get vzaccess mgr to work...anyway..reloaded .328 with DM and when i booted up i had 49 some mb app...knew that didnt look right so got to looking and noticed that it did not install BBM or BB maps...i download bb messenger w no problem ota...but BB maps i cannot find... is there an OTA link for BB maps?

I used to have a bb curve 8900 and used bb maps all the time. now I have a bold 9700 and would also like to use my bb maps. For some reason it is listed in my apps when I go to settings, but the icon is no where to be found so I can't ever open it! I use poynt a lot and it uses bb maps to map out my travel, but I can't just open bb maps to do my own route with an address. What is the deal? How can I get the bb maps icon to appear on my "home screen"? It isn't in any of my other folders either

I just upgraded my firmware to 40.0.005 so I could use the ovi maps. It updated everything fine, but when I tried to run the maps, it said "This version of maps is not compatible with the old map data stored on your device", and deleted the maps. I redownloaded the maps to the phone using the Nokia Ovi Suite, but it always pops up the same message about being incompatible and needs to be deleted. I have tried a few fixes I found on the forum, but these havnt worked. (Deleting nokia + ovi maps from application manager). Any ideas?
I purchased N79 3 days back. I was trying GPS - Nokia maps and found that it is not working. I dont know while trying something I did are what? Now, even the application in phone is not opening. Please provide me the link to get .sis file to install it in my phone.
I used to have Maps 2 on my phone until very recently however I upgraded to Maps 3 over the Christmas period, this was working fine while I was in the UK. I have since travelled to Russia (in Moscow) and have had nothing but problems. First of all I am not able to get a GPS signal although when I was here before Christmas (Maps 2) it was working fine. When I start maps I go on line and also have my position set by Network this does not work either. I have done the following since without sucess.
1) I have connected my phone to the computer in Mass storage mode and removed the folder'Cities' and the qf file as stated in the help file. 2) I have reloaded the phone software to my phone. 3) I have reloaded Maps 3 on my phone. 4) I have loaded the Map of Russia on my phone (which takes a good 6 hours due to my company firewall) 5) After this has loaded I have tried my maps on the phone and can see down to street level but my position is not indicated either by GPS or the network (network MTS Vodafone Partner). 6) When the map has loaded from the computer to the phone I can see the map on my phone using the OVI Pc Suite. 7) If I remove my phone from the computer and then reconnect it the OVI Pc Suite says there are no maps on my device. 8) I downloaded Albania and also cyprus before loading Russia again, whilst still connected to my computer I can see all 3 of these maps but if i disconect and connect again it says no maps are on my phone.
I have spent the last 5 days trying to get this to work without sucess. As I am currently working here in Russia this device is invaluable to me but at the moment it is not providing much use apart from taking up my companies bandwith with downloads. I think I posted this on the wrong board earlier, Since then I have downloaded the UK map and this time after it downloaded I could see it in the OVI Pc Suite, I opened maps on the phone while still connected to the computer and after I closed it OVI Suite said there where no Maps on my device although there are. I am still not getting a GPS signal I even left the phone on the window sill for one whole night with no obstructions and still never got a GPS signal.
I have 5800 XM with firmware v50.0.005 and ovi maps v3 But whenever i try opening ovi maps it opens and closes automaticaly within 3seconds I have uninstaled the ovi maps and instald it again,i have also restored my phone to factory settings and then updatd my firmware and ovi maps But the problem with the OVI maps not working continues Does anyone else face the same problem Can someone help me find a solution?
A while ago I upgraded the Ovi Maps app on my N97 Mini to the latest version, the one with free navigation and a new menu screen. It worked fine for a few days. Now it refuses to work: When I start the application, no matter what I do or which sub-menu I enter, the application exits/dies in a few seconds and I'm back to the phone's main menu screen.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the app from Ovi Store, but the same nonsense is happening again. The app just does not work for more than 10 seconds. Even if I keep entering data or going from one sub menu to another, within 10 seconds of starting the app, it disappears and I'm back to the main menu. (I've checked to see that the app is not continuing in the background. It's not it truly is gone.
i updated my applications on my phone by using SW updater and i got the latest version of Ovi Maps navigation program, but after i formatted the phone for other problem , i found that the Maps program went back to the older version! i went to SW updater and i cant find the new one , please help me how i can get back the new Maps application .
First, the application isn't readily available in the main Menu. I must execute an extended Search to be able to access it. Does this mean my device does not support BB Maps? I have one of the new Curve 9360 OS 7.0.0 (unblocked, Movistar). I am currently in Venezuela.I normally reside in Germany and I would like to use it there. I could understand if the app does not work well in South America, but I would like to rest in mind that it'll work in Germany once I set it up there.
I am planning to buy a Nokia X2. Is there any way to install Ovi Maps on that? Even if it does not have GPS - I would still like to install Ovi Maps to browse the map.
I am using nokia 500. i had problem with my nokia maps. Before my nokia maps working fine. it locate my current position correctly, but from few days nokia maps not working well. When i click on searching position button it start searching my current position but still waiting of hours i am not getting my current position on my map. nokia map unable to find my current position.
I am having the same problem then other bold 9900 users, lot of new 9900 Bold are being shipped with the proprietary Black Berry maps (v6.1.0.24) not working at all...Actually, my maps aren't (icon missing) on my menu after an blackberry update through DM(v 7.? -> OS v7.0.0.296, PF 5.0.0.496) but if I search for them I can find them but and when I open it :- I just get a white screen - and It says "unknown error" when I try to find a location. I did the uninstall and reinstall of BB-Maps through DM and still having the same problem.
For some reason, the native Maps app is not loading on my iPhone 6 after the most recent upgrade to 8.1.1. All I see is a blank screen ! The Google Maps app is working perfectly fine. I have tried rebooting several times but that doesn't fix the problem.
the ovi maps installed on my 5800 doesn't work properpy or rather i should say it doesn't work at all.from the moment i start the maps app it starts showing me the message "searching for position" and same message is displayed for an hour or more till i get frustrated n close this app.i have tried using it indoor, outdoors, on streets, my house roof, my friend's house roof(which are quite far away). And i hv also used it with gprs connection and wifi connection(i literally took my router on the roof to make wifi available there).i am pretty sure that there is a s/w problem because when i run google maps, it uses gps function wid out any problems.
I just got a new lumia 800, all the maps software on the phone do not rotate as I rotate the phone, even having the "rotate with my current direction" selected in the maps settings.
