I unlocked my 9530 and everything works great except I cant make or receive calls and so I went through the trouble shooting process from blackberry and I need to switch my active phone number and it said to click on my number on the phone screen and switch to the number I need to be there, well I try clicking on the number and nothing happens so I cant figure out what else to try.
View 5 RepliesI bought a 9530 and Unlocked it. I inserted my ATT sim card and it won't make or receive calls. I am not to worried about the data plan at this point. I just want be able to call and get calls. Am I missing something? The phone was from Verizon. I unlocked it but when I restore connections, it still says verizon wireless as the network, even with my ATT sim card installed.

Updated the phone via USB cable to the latest software.
Didn't notice anything was wrong today at first. Set my email up today, and it works great along with the txt messaging.
However I cannot make or receive calls. It keeps saying "Congestion". I have called AT&T and they say there is no congestion in my area and told me they can't help me because this phone isn't for at&t and blah blah blah.
I don't know what to do now. Any ideas of things I can try?
I do know that I had to make room for the update and barely had room if this means anything.....
I have a Blackberry 9500 Storm locked to Vodafone and recently bought an unlock code from Ebay to use on my Orange sim. After following the unlock procedure the phone accepted the orange sim and shows "security disabled". But I can't use the phone to make or receive calls and texts. I have checked the network settings and they are showing up orange. I have contacted the ebay seller but they just said check sim card activated - which it is.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been having a problem with a storm2 9550. I have wiped it clean several times to try to get the password to Disable with no luck. I upgraded the software and then I started to get a busy signal when trying to call out and cannot receive calls either. Same goes for text messages. When prompted that radio is off, i always turn it back on.. It is unlocked and still has Verizon as mobile network.

I went to a cell phone shop around my area and they unlocked the storm so i can use it with my tmobile sim card. I put on the sim card and i thought everything was working perfect but then i found out that i have multiple problem.
The good: I can make calls, i can use the internet.
The bad: when i place a call my sister number appears in the other person phone (not my tmobile number), i cant call my voicemail, cant setup my email, cant receive calls and more problems i still havent discovered lol.
I'm having is when I go to send the service books to activate email I keep getting update failed I tried the diagnostic test and manually sending the books. I was wondering if I can replace the verizon email service books with att's books also if that is possible what books will I look for in crackutil any help is appreciated

Brought my first BB yesterday,a Storm 2 as I hated my iphone - however my BB days could be numbered as first impressions are not so good !Got it unlocked through Vodaphone onto the Orange network as my Iphone contract still has 20 months to go !I cannot connect to the internet unless I am at home and connect through my wifi ?I get "This is a wifi service.Please ensure your device has an active wifi connection and try again "Is this one of many problems that I will get as i am on orange and not Voda ?Also can the memory be increased for music etc ?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've just bought a Storm 2 and I am not happy at all.I thought Blackberry would market & sell a product after have been well tested and ready to go.My Storm2 does not have anything installed just the stuff which came with the smartphone. By other way, my Blackberry does not have any service running: Email, Internet, any other apps. I just have been used to call and get incoming calls and to synchronize with Outlook.
1. The problem 1. is that very often my calls (in or out) are interrupted. I loose the signal, with no one other advise or signal. Suddenly I don't hear anything anymore.
2. The problem 2. is that during calls I often get OS restart. Suddenly during a voice comm the phone turns off and restart. When it turns on again, alone, he gives the following message:
"Uncaught Exception: Missing Resource Net.Rim.Device.Apps.Internal.Bis.Resource.BISClient"
Frequently - typically once a day - I synchronize the Storm 2 and consequently get it online updated.This is stopping me to use my new phone. Keep using my old iPhone and start thinking that using Desire or iPhone would be much better.
My iPhone 4S has been working on and off for as long as I've had it. There are times when I can't make or receive calls or send or receive texts.When I attempt to make a call, it never rings and when I try to end these calls, it doesn't register that the call has ended. People receive these calls but when they answer, there is silence. If people call me, I don't get any notification of this.
When I send texts, the loading bar at the top of the page never reaches the end - the same things happens: people receive the texts but when they reply it never reaches me.I have replaced the phone and it did t make a difference. I am with Vodafone and I'm always in full reception when this happens.When I connect to wifi, the text messages (but not missed calls) come through.

I have an iPhone with sprint, and it has worked more than amazingly prior to this. It wasn't until last night around 12am that this started. I have had the phone for 4 to 5 months now. The bars in the top left are flat and occasionally one will pop up. I can t make calls and texts are slow to or just don't send at all. I was messing around on my download app in the browser and it closed and then thu problem arises. I have deleted the app even turned on and off my phone several times and turned airplane mode on and off several times. Please help:/ this is not an issue with location, and everytime I make calls it just says "calling mobile..."

So they signed me up and I thought all was fixed. But I soon realized that was not the case. I cant even select to compose MMS text. I now have unlimited messaging and am on their BB data plan.
I have looked up on a lot of forums on what could be the problem and have d/l the service books and registered the HRTs and did a battery pull without any luck. I have noticed that I do not the MMS service books (MMS Client and MMS Transport). I was curious as to why I don't have them and if I could get them. Also during my last update (V5.0.0.328 Platform 4.2.0.128) I noticed I lost my browser icon. Was that supposed to happen or did I mess something up?
