Aug 3, 2012I want to delete my Gmail account from BIS. So I went into the email preferences and deleted the account. I then noticed that the mail folder icon for my Gmail account was still showing up, so I went in and deleted the Gmail service books. That seems to have removed the account. I now went back to using the Gmail app (the one provided by Google), but what I'm noticing is that it no longer shows the yellow star on the Gmail logo when I have new mail. It works fine on my wife's BB (she has the same model as me). The app does retrieve the new message, but it seems as if it is not recognizing it as a new message. Did I properly remove the Gmail account from BIS?

Sep 5, 2014I Recently noticed that the user name associated with iCloud on my iPhone 5s is in another name. (Probably the previous owner) I could have sworn I changed this when first bought it but obviously not. Anyway, I want to change it to my user name now and seem to be having difficulty doing so. It won't let me delete account to add a new one in my name unless the previous password associated with the old owner is put in, and I don't have that now. It also won't let me switch off find my iphone unless old password is typed in, but it did let me turn it on without old password........strange.
ANyway, I have tried contacting the person I bought it off but no answer. The phone itself works perfectly, it's just I can't log into iCloud or delete old users iCloud without the password.

While experimenting with adding accounts, I inadvertantly added two ovi.com accounts to the preinstalled "Messaging" application. One is listed as ovi.com and the other is listed as ovi.com01. There seems to be no way to delete or undo those accounts on the phone. At the very least, I wish to delete the ovi.com01. Does anyone have any suggestions that don't include reformatting the phone? I really don't have the time or patience for that. I've already put way too much time in removing AT&T crapware and rearranging program folders/icons.

Jul 16, 2012I have an unlocked Bold 9700 running OS 5 that I used briefly with an international SIM card service from the UK, and then abroad with a totally different provider (on a corporate enterprise plan). I recently re-established residence in the US and am allowing my son to use the BB for now. We have a new SIM from AT&T that has never had a BB account provisioned on it. I did a full security wipe on the phone. The phone is still receiving mail from a yahoo.com account. When I go to Setup -> Personal Email Setup and then click "back" (so as not to set up a new account) I get a message "An email address does not currently exist for your Blackberry device" -- and yet I am still receiving messages on the yahoo.com account and can reply, check out folders, etc. When I check the Service Books, there is no listing for any service book associated with the email account; indeed, no CMIME listing at all.How can I remove email access to the yahoo.com account from this phone? How in the world is it still receiving emails?

Feb 15, 2011My Yahoo e-mail account won't delete. I wanted to remove my Yahoo account on my 9780 and went into setup to delete it. It no longer shows as a listed account in the setup menu but it still appears as an icon on the homepage. It's still active retrieving messages. I tried rebooting by removing the battery to no avail.
