I've looked all over, but can't find any application that will let us talk over WiFi. I'll be traveling abroad and the hotel where I'm staying has free WiFi. I'd like to be able to call her on her Bold9000 using that WiFi connection. Best we can do right now is to text each other using BBM. Anyhow, I've heard of "UMA", but have no idea what that is. We're both on AT&T.
My BB Pearl 8120 picks up wi-fi fine, but I have just replaced my home router and it doesn't recognize it when I scan for networks, All other wireless devices in the house (TV, laptop, I-Pad, son's phone) connect no problem.
connecting nokia N8 to internet via Talk Talk router with WEP. I have just updated my Nokia's software and now I can use an internet because I'm getting error. I can connect to the router, there is a status "connected" but then the internet not working.
I have an A T & T iphone 4 on straight talk. It will call, text and email like a pro, but after configuring APN settings, I can't get MMS to work, sending or receiving. Straight talk gave me the mms settings, but I have no way to enter that screen. I'm not jailbroken or unlocked.
We received two Blackberry Curves today. The sales clerk told us that our plan includes 10 National Fab Ten talk and text. for each of our phones. We were told we could register our 10 fab ten online. I have been attempting to set up these two phones. I cannot find WHERE I can input the 10 numbers we were told we could. It took over 2 hours just to register to this forum, with much frustration.
yesterday I bought my Lumia and now I´m really frustrated. I am not able to bring all my Contacts and Calendar entries to it. Therefore I cannot change from my E90 to the new Lumia and the investment was for the rubbish.

It seems like the hold up on the Verizon OS 5 is all about ptt. There are ptt codes in the latest leak that appears to be Verizon becuase of the fact that there are vz navigator files in it as well. net_rim_bb_phone_vz_ptt.cod net_rim_bb_phone_vz_ptt_proxy.cod Should be very soon we see an official Verizon OS. As long as the info in this thread is true, and its looking like it is. Verizon Push To Talk (PTT).
When I saw the AT&T commercial about a guy who talks on his phone while he surfs the web at the same, I thought 'let me try that on my 9700'. So right now as I type these, I'm actually streaming podcast, have my buddy on the other line, and here typing this. AT&T claims that Verizon, which their direct competitor here in the states, can't do any of these talking while surfing web. I have been a T-mobile customer for 4 years now and for the past 2 years I have been talking and surfing at the same time without a problem. I thought depends on the phone as well whether it can do this or not, not the network.
I've had my sprint Samsung Galaxy s5 for months now and I love it. Never really any problems. The one thing that is strange that I can't talk on the phone and use my data at the same time. My previous phone htcEvo 4g LTE let me do it. This is was more like a downgrade in that sense. Is this the future of smart phones? Is it only a sprint thing? It really sucks not being able to look stuff up while you're on the phone.
Just purchased iphone4 and inserted new Straight Talk Micro SIM, and the phone says it does not recognize it. It fits perfectly...any reasons why it would not recognize it? The phone worked perfectly before on ATT.
Can't get my desktop software to talk to my torch it used to up until yesterday, tried to delete the software and reinstall it again, can't delete the old stuff it wont let me
I have just purchased a Galaxy SII ... my only real problem is that there is quite a bad echo when I use the phone. this is noticeable by friends that have often rung me over the past few months. They all notice now I have my new phone that there is an echo when they talk to me. So, it seems that it is my phone causing it?
I just got my Nokia E71 Straight Talk phone I downloaded Skype, updated maps and the phone worked fine. I bought a 16 GIG micro SD card put it in formatted it and now I can't find Skype, the GPS shows no maps even though I updated from OVI Suite. When I put the Card in that came with the phone it works. I did put songs on the new memory card and they work fine. What to do?
what are other ways to talk using mobile data or mobile internet for free like Skype. On my Nokia 701 i have communicator and in connectivity-admin settings i have SIP.I don't know how to use them.
I tried searching for this but couldnt find any answers. i was playing around with my buddy's droid and he has a program where he can talk and it converts it to a text message. is there any program/app like this for the storm 2?
we all know from at&t commercial that the 9700 on at&t and t-mo network can talk & surf at the same time. what about tether & talk? can any1 who has a 9700 confirm this capability? yes or no?
What can I expect from returning my 8520 and upgrading to Bold 9700. I realize it is 3g which I am craving...I need to be able to talk and surf at the same time.
Cuz I just saw one of those million 3g commercials with at&t vs verizon. At&t claims u can talk and surf on the web cuz of its 3g. Well can u do that with the 9700? How about t-mo, can the 9700 do that on t-mo?
I am trying to talk a user through BES Activation. I have emailed the BES activation password to them, But I cant talk them through where to enter it in the phone.
I just bought a 9800 and cannot talk on the phone without it going to speaker, mute, or adding a participant to the phone call. I have tried locking the phone while talking, but still run into the same problems. Is there a solution? Do I need to just hold the phone 5 inches away from my fat cheeks? I know this is silly, but it is really irritating.
my torch 9810 with the Desktop Manager (6.1.0.35).
The situation is the following: If I go to the PC Device Manager (from "My Computer") I get the Blackberry device recognized and working properly, this means that the PC is understanding that I connected a BB. But when I open the Desktop Software and the BB Device Manager there is no way they can see it.
I tried everything:
1) clean reinstallation of the software 2) Update of BB USB drivers 3) Different USB cables 4) Different USB ports 5) USB Drive/Sync Media/Charge Only modes 6) Full restart of the BB (alt-shift-del) 7) I followed many many many related topics
I need to connect my BB because i need to reset it to factory settings since the battery is lasting maximum 1/2 day (no background running apps, no long backlighting, everything seems to be ok)...
