Lumia 1020 :: Failed Hard Reset - Restart And Go To Windows Boot Manager Screen
Oct 4, 2013So I attempted to do a full wipe/hard reset on my Nokia 1020.. I thought it was working until it restarted and now goes to a WINDOWS BOOT MANAGER screen. Am I completely screwed now? I don't understand how I can't even force-reset the phone. This is really upsetting and I don't know what to do.

Nov 22, 2014Like others, I tried the software update, and then my phone constantly got stuck at the four little circles at start up. I followed some instructions I found on AndroidPit:
1. From a powered off state, press the Power button to start your Nexus 5. When you see the Google logo press and hold the Volume Down key and release when the device vibrates.
2. Use the volume keys to highlight Recovery Menu and press the Power button to select. This will bring you to a screen with an Android on its back.
3. Hold the Volume Up key for 5 secs then release and a new menu will appear.
4. First off, you can use the volume keys to select Wipe Cache Partition. This will cause your phone to restart. once this is done, re-do the previous steps to get back to the same screen (the one that Wipe Cache Partition was on).
5. Highlight Wipe Data/Factory Reset and select using the Power key. Scroll down to Yes, Delete All Data and press the Power button again to select.
6. Your Nexus 5 will now wipe your data and reformat.
7. On the next screen hit the Power button to select Reboot System Now.
It has been 40 minutes now and it's stuck on 'Formatting /data'. Is this normal?
I've only had this phone for a couple of months and it was functioning perfectly until now I haven't rooted it or anything.
BB Curve :: Why Won't It Load?
Jul 26, 2012My phone kept freezing so i took the battery out and when i put it back in, it was loading like normal but then stopped at around 75%. I then preceded to remove the battery again and still the same. I found a thread on here that said to plug it in, take the battery out, put the battery back in, then it should work, but it hasn't. It then said to start it in safe mode but that hasn't worked either.

Oct 4, 2011Just noticed in the last two-three days that an app automatically loads when rebooted called Startup2. I see it when I press and hold the menu button along with the normal icons for web, email, phone, home etc. If I select the Startup2 icon then the BB hangs/freezes. It does not open any new screen. My only way of regaining control is to press and hold the menu button again. where it came from and how I can get rid of it?

Jun 3, 2011First of all, I posted this once under someone else's question and probably should not have.My apologies for a second post. My Blackberry Curve 8330 is set up to automatically reboot. This morning, there was a RESET error - little tiny words and letters in the middle of a blank screen. I hit reset and nothing...scrolled to other options and nothing happened with anything I clicked on. Took the battery out and back in...still same thing. Suddenly the screen changed to white with small letters at the very bottom like a computer loading or like your viruscan looks on the computer - going through words and files at a record pace like it is scanning files. After 20 minutes, I removed the battery again. Waited, inserted it and it did the exact same thing - trying to load or scroll through every piece of memory. The phone will not turn on at all. It just goes directly to this mode.

BB Curve :: 8520 Will Not Load App World?
Aug 8, 2011Last night my Curve 8520 crashed on me while I was deleting some old applications and restarting. When trying to restart it was giving me an error. After a little research I found the steps to fix it by completely reinstalling the OS. After downloading the OS to my computer and getting it installed to the phone I found it was quite a bit different than the old OS, and I made sure to select the correct service provider. Anyways, needless to say, I lost all my apps and phone numbers, but the apps and email info were saved on my desktop software. I haven't been able to get the apps back onto the phone though and when trying to open App World on my phone it stays on the loading screen and goes no further. I have tried starting it over many times, pulled the battery and such but no luck.

Then tofix this I've 2 do a battery pull(hard reset) everytime.I've also upgraded to OS6, but the above problem still remains.
