Jul 1, 2010The first week i had my iPhone 4, i had about 1 bar.Right now i am having 3 bars which is what i usually get and sometimes 5 bars which never happened with my iPhone 3G.I heard that AT&T is enhancing their signal strength because of the overflow of the new iPhone 4 which could make sense but what about you?

The phone works but several Blackberry features are missing, including the ability to set up email internet and outlook email accounts.Also, the broadband connection still says "edge" in lowercaps, which I have heard is ATT specific.Can I use this phone on a T Mobil network? What do I need to do?

Jan 30, 2011Just been given a Curve 8520 by my son, lucky me. When he gave it to me it had all of his settings for a different network and wifi settings. So i thought it would be easier to do a full wipe and start a fresh.However since doing this i have no email setup and no option to update software or wifi .I have tried downloading new software but it gets to the" Check for updates screen" and goes no further. I have to close it down and restart the computer. I have left this to run for over 3hours thinking it may work but to no avail. I have tried it with desktop software running and without, with and without a sim card.

Apr 4, 2010I recently unlocked my 8520 from t-mobile to at&t, i have the data plan with both providers. After i started using the 8520 on the at&t network i noticed that i cannot change my setting from hotspot browser to internet browser anymore which in turn i cannot use the data service with at&t that i am paying for. Any help with this issue is greatly appreciated.

Mar 17, 2010Ovi maps 3.03 I have put safety spot warner on by going to Options -> settings ->Navigation ->Safety spot warner => On (My Speed limit warner is : On, 1 km/h , 5 km/h) I used to had this working on previous OS of my Nokia E52.
It does not work anymore on OS E52 033.002.C00.01 E52-1 RM-469 , i have today reinstalled the ovi maps and the belgium map, still nog go Looking at the info on this website tells me that , a process running in the background is updating the safety spot warning database. How can you debug if this process is still running?

Nov 22, 2011I bought my phone Nokia C5-03 two weeks ago and from day one when my phone is in my jacket pocket every few minutes I get the warning message of extraction of the card memory with safely.
I have off and on the phone, safely remove the card, formatted the card ... and still receive the message.

The password keeper vault had a lot of information and I want to retrieve it. I have the Blackberry desktop software and have back up of the old data.Is it possible to keep the new version however have the information from the password keeper loaded into it.

May 3, 2010Is there anyone out there that has a Nokia 5230 and is able to be alerted to Safety cameras in offline mode ? I purchased this phone in Feb and have upgraded to 3.03, have deleted Cities folder and QF folder and reloaded both 3.03 software and maps so many times I've lost count - but still get no Safety Spot notification ( Safety Spots is 'on' in navigation settings ). Interestingly there is a folder called 'Safety Spots' under the Cities Folder - diskcashe file, but when you access it there is no data in the file .
I have no idea if the camera warnings appear in online mode as this never seems to work as I always get the message ' something went wrong and the connection failed - please try again' - I have no idea how to fix this, the Internet settings for O2 are correct.In any case I have no intention of using maps online. My assumption is that the Safety Camera info is recd from the downloaded maps and therefore should work in offline mode.

Feb 24, 2010Is it possible that the safety camera detection isn't included in maps 3.03.I have a Nokia 5230 and the free navigation ( no licence needed) and maps 3.03 installed.I have downloaded the maps and navigate always off-line.When a navigate I get the announcements that i drive to fast but i don't have the safetycamera (speedcontrol) detection. Normaly they are downloaded at the same time as the map.Last remark : i live in Belgium, so is it pôssible that the camerafunction doens't work here.Is there a solution to install it on my mobile.

My phone was running fine on Anna, then last week I had this SW update... Since then my Maps has gone weird. The issue is with Safety Cameras. I use it with alerts activated. But when I approach a camera it has the speed limit for the camera completly wrong so the banner turns red saying I am going 25mph too fast...
Example Im on a 40mph road, Im driving 35mph. A Speed camera comes up and instead of just alerting me it recognises the camera as a speed limit of 15mph, so it warns me Im driving 20mph too fast! This happens on 30 40 50 roads and also motorways...
To try and resolve Ive had my phone plugged in to PC Suite and done a RE-Install of the software but its still the same... I have the latest SW and latest Maps SW too.... I am bambuzzeled *sp as to what this "Anna update" did..

Mar 17, 2010So I got a blackberry curve 8300 (never been used) the other day and I have modified my contract with o2 so i have the unlimited blackberry data bolt on. I can access BB messenger no problem and have been chatting away, but I can't go on the web because there is no browser on the phone. how the heck do I solve this problem? How do I get the browser on the blackberry? Obviously I'll need a browser for emails and facebook and twitter, or even to download the apps for these.

Oct 27, 2012My blackberry browser is not behaving properly. It all started a few months ago, I dont know the exact month or day but it's been a while now. When I use the browser, the blue bar at the bottom will progress very slowly and get to the end but no page will actually load. Resetting the phone will, as I said, result in a temporary fix but I am now growing tired of this re-occurance and would like to seek out a permanent fix. I have also re-sent service books, to no avail.

Feb 27, 2011I could open my browser as well as files and apps that connect directly to the internet. Now this morning, I tried opening my browser or any of those files and apps to the internet, and they won't open! I keep pushing the button to get them to open, but I can't get anything to open in regards to the internet. I do have the unlimited data plan with Verizon and I did just recently pay my monthly bill, so no problems of payment. I can open the other apps just fine and I can even get emails too. But when it comes to direct connect to the internet, I can't get on!
