My gprs was not working because of the network problem. So i started using my wifi connection. After using i switched to gprs i am not able to access browser or aap world. It is popping a message ""You are not connected to the wireless network"". I tried it so manytimes but it is not working.
View 1 RepliesI am having severe problems with my bb torch 9800, it wont stay connected to the wireless network for any length of time before I have to register it again, this is happening daily now realised it was doing this when i try and send information over my wifi and it would connect to it but would not send any data, and comes up with a message stating I am not connected to the wireless network. As said before the way I could get it to work temporary is by going to, options, device, advanced system settings, host routing table, and the pressing the bb key and selecting register now. This has only started happening since updating my torch.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just picked up a MiFi 4G device and I carry it at all times. However since it has a cap on data per month I want it to be secondary to several other unlimited WiFi networks such as my office WiFi, home WiFi, free WiFi hotspots, etc. Is there any work around to make the MiFi wireless (or any permanent wireless network) 2nd to all other recognized networks? This is the ideal set-up for my iPhone 4 and iPad 2 WiFi. I don't want to have to turn the MiFi on and off constantly, I want it on in the background as a seamless secondary option. I appreciate any insight and find it odd that you cannot prioritize networks. Meaning if I "forgot this network" and start over will the 1st joined or most recent joined become primary when there are multiple networks available?

I cannot have it disconnecting from the network overnight. If there's not a fix, just let me know and I'll use the Curve as a doorstop and get a phone that works.
ok so i found a usb network adapter that would fit my blackberry i knoe that my blackberry dosnt suport wireless internet but is there any way i could use the network adapter to acess the internet. or is it possible to creat a bluetooth modem on my computer and acess the internet via bluetooth on my phone?

After I turn it back on i get the symbol in the top right that says "off" which according to the starting guide book says "Your connection to the wireless network is turned off" The only way i can fix this is pulling the battery. I then went to set up wizard/email set up but there is only the option to: - 'I want to use a work email account....' but nothing to set up a personal email address. We have WiFi and the phone indicate that they are connected to the WiFi when we are in the house. However, my bill from Bell indicates several instances where the phones (all 4 at different times) are connected to the 3G network for 24+ hours at a time. Additionally, it shows the phone connected twice during that time period (as though there were 2 different sessions at exactly the same time, but with differing amount of data connected)
The explaination that Bell gives me is that there are 'minimized' applications still working on 3G even though the phone says it is on WiFi, and that each of these opens its own 'connection'My understanding of cell technology is that the phone can only access one method of Internet connectivity at a time, and that it can be explained as a 'pipe' or 'straw' carrying connectivity and all of the data. I have never heard of a phone that can access two different types at the same time, nor one that uses separate 'sessions' at the same time of either type of connectivity.
I would assume that I turn on my phone in the morning and I am in my house, it indicates WiFi, so I can browse the web, collect my email and update my Facebook on that 'session' that lasts 4 hours until I leave the house. Now my 3G kicks in and the email that I still have open now collects through the opened 3G session, as well as the page I left open downloading something.When I get to work and enter my WiFi area there, the session would then collect my email through WiFi again, and my download as well.

The BB Bold icon does not appear on the top after connecting but the signal strength Icon comes up with no problem. I tried to reset the wi fi connection and also tried to reset the settings but still nogo. Did rebooted the device multiple time and also un installed the latest 3rd party software but still no go.

After that my phone will detect the wifi in my room and it will connect to the wifi, but no internet access. And the same time it is working fine with the wifi in my office. So i did the Factory data reset, but still its not working. My friends are using different android phones and they are able to access the internet, even I can use my laptop to connect to the wifi.

I am stationed in Afghanistan and purchased this unlocked version. I am using a Local carrier (Roshan). Everything works great once I sorted a couple of minor issues except I cannot get the wifi to come up. I can connect to wireless routers and says "connected". But the wifi is still grayed out and I am unable to use it (wifi) for anything or register the phone. I would like to be in a situation where the wifi will work independent of the sim card installed.
While connected to my wireless for data, voice signal strength hovers at 1 bar. I can't find the signal strngth meter in settings to double check this as I write... when I am connected to 3g I typically see 3-4 bars...
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy E71 is trying to re-connect to a wireless network I had previously used. It keeps doing this every 1minute and trys to send packet data for 7 seconds, then just stops. Nothing appears on the screen or any notification, but when checking the logs, you can see it gets spammed with an attempt to connect to a specific wirless network.This has drastically reduced the battery performance, I have tried disabling WLAN, This has done nothing, it still attempts to send/recieve, but never actually gets anything accomplished? What should I do?

I currently have a question concerning the possibility to tethering a wireless connection over USB to a Windows XP PC. I know that it is not possible to set up a wireless tethering of a wireless connection, only 3G or 4G connection.
My problem is that I have a work computer that is very strict on which open wireless network it can connect to. I therefore want to connect my iPhone 4S to whichever wireless network and tether the connection to my PC through either USB or Bluetooth.
