I have a Blackberry Curve with OS 6 installed. I have a yellow envelope that has a white circle (and blue or green figures on the circle) on the lower left corner that shows where the message waiting indicators show up. I'm guessing it is an unread message indicator but I can't find any messages that haven't been opened. They don't show on the list of unopened messages either.

A little whilte envelope with a red spot has appeared on my screen between my volume and the time
a symbol showed up on my phone for the first time today. Its a Red circle with a white exclamation point on the top left of my blackberry curve cell phone. Earlier today it had a 1 next to it but my phone just vibrated and now there is a 2 next to it. I've been looking at online forums for hours and havnt found anybody talking about it.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI got a replacement galaxy s5 on Jan 28 and I've noticed the screen has a yellow and blue tint during white backgrounds. If i look straight at the screen, the white has some yellow tint over the mid to top portion of the screen. However, if I move the phone up, the yellow moves down the screen and a blue tint appears on the top to mid part of the screen. The tint isn't heavy as I can see still get good colors out of things.
Is this normal for the s5 screen? My old phone had a yellow tint to the white as well, but I don't know if the tint changed from yellow to blue when I moved the phone up and down.
I bought a Xperia Pro today. So far I'm very impressed with it, with one exception.The screen's white color temp appears to be quite low, giving whites a yellow-ish tint.I'd say white color temp is a little lower than 6500K.is this normal?Or should I try and have the phone replaced by the store (DOA policy)?I compared the screen with both my old Motorola Milestone and my sister's Xperia Pro Mini and the whites are indeed yellow-ish, at least compared to them...Unfortunately, the Xperia Pro is not officially available here in Greece so I can't just walk into an electronics store and compare my pro's screen to another Pro demo unit...

I have had a white spot on my screen that is about a 1/4" in diameter for a few weeks now. It is about an inch above the Z in the Verizon logo at the bottom of the screen. It only really shows up on white/light backgrounds such as webpages. I was living with it fine until a few days ago it appears that there is a huge amount of light bleed coming from the whole bottom of the screen now. It almost appears as if the LCD is separating from the screen and allowing light through.
If you take the battery cover off the phone and press on the battery where the spot is in the screen it causes a ripple/wave effect in the screeen, just like if you press on an LCD monitor. I assume that with use overtime the battery has heated/cooled and expanded into the LCD components of the phone, so when you press on it, it is probably directly touching the LCD components. I use my phones for music/movies/games and it is not uncommon for the back of the phone to get fairly warm under my usage.
I've had my phone about 11 months, I went by a VZW corporate store and they are sending me a refurb from what I gathered. But I'm guessing this is a battery/design issue and my new/refurb isn't going to make it much longer than 11 months or so.
This is kind of a question/fyi for people since a lot of DX users are probably nearing the 12 month mark of owning a DX.
There seems to be a problem with my blackberry or my blackberry's screen.
Sometimes when I click any of the buttons to wake up my screen to check if I have messages/make a call or what have you...
1. The screen is black white and stays that way for a few seconds before reverting to the normal screen.
2. The screen is covered in static similar to a television except it isn't moving, and the pixels are red, yellow and blue. This either fixes itself after I unlock the phone, or it only fixes the part of the screen where the box that says "keypad is locked" is usually located, and then goes back to normal once I press another button. This happens sometimes even if the phone isn't locked, and if I have a text message open I can roll the type cursor back and forth and that part of the screen will be fixed again.
3. The screen is white, but the red/blue/yellow pixels wash across the screen from left to right, and once I press a button it fixes itself.
It's a Blackberry Bold 9000, only one year and one month old, and at&t is my provider. I'm not sure if it's a coincidence, but the problem seems to have started around the time I put a memory card in it.
I have tried taking the battery out of the phone and putting it back in. Nothing changes.
My Ifone 4 was not behaving properly. I pressed "Reset all settings" now it has been more than 1 hour my ifone is still working in background and white circle is moving in the center of the screen. None of the button including Power works may you press it for any time

So I finally updated to Black today and to my surprise the damn yellow tint is still present when using flash indoors.I did one shot before the update with Nokia Pro Cam, and on after the Black update and after updating to Nokia Camera.
They look nearly identical.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently performed a battery pull to re-establish connection with the local EDGE network, and as expected, all the emails that I received while not in contact with EDGE came flooding in. What also appeared was an icon I've never seen before, an orange envelope with a sort or ribbon encircling it, and it only appears in front of the "Email Messages" icon, not the "Messages" or "SMS and MMS" icons, and is not accompanied by the usual tiny envelope icon with the number next to it that appears on the Home Screen whenever I have new messages. I've emptied out the Email folder, but it's still there.

I'm still a novice using it, but I am having a problem getting the yellow envelope icon that alerts you that you have new messages to go off. On the message envelope (or just above it) on the bottom left-hand corner of the screen; when I highlight it, it says, "1 messages". The yellow envelope is also on at this time. But when I open the message box or any of the other email boxes, there are no messages. Of course this is on the home page if I didn't mention that. I cannot find an email, sms or mms message (new) anywhere. Anyone have a suggestion?
