BB Curve :: Missing Contact List In Default Services
Jul 23, 2010
Two days ago I added a gmail account to my Curve 8530. After that I noticed that I had many duplicate contacts in my address book. I went to gmail and merged the duplicates. After that, I downloaded google sync and tried to sync my contacts between gmail and my phone. After that I had some names listed 6 or 7 times. Needless to say it was quite frustrating.
I deleated the gmail account and deleated google sync. I turned off the phone and took the battery out for about a minute. After that, I installed the latest version of Desktop manager and succesfully synced my contacts with outlook on my computer. Now, I have single contacts with no duplicates. However, when I am in my contacts and select "Options," it lists my gmail account as the only option for "Contact Lists." Also, when I go to the home screen and select "Options" - "Default Services" - I do not have an option for contacts any more. It is gone. All I have there is "Calendar (CICAL):" and "Messaging (CMIME):" Where did my Contacts option go and why does it still show gmail as my contacts list?
I am trying to change a CONTACT LIST from a hotmail account to an outlook account. However I just did a wipe and restore an the option of contact list has vanished from the default services. All I want to do is get the outlook contacts sync'd with my BBCurve.
I just bought a bold 9700 and the default services for the contacts list is still showing the previous owner's email address. I am new to blackberry and can't figure out how to change this the calendar and email are both showing my email address but the default for contacts doesn't give me an option to change or select another address. I am running OS 6.
I recently added my gmail address to device. In Options/ Advanced options / Default services It only lists my Gmail account for contact List (Sync).I want to switch to my POP account as that is where I maintain my contact list.how do I get my POP acct in that list?
"How can I force the Contacts app on my 9780 to only load 1 of my contact lists by default?"
Context:I have 2 primary sources of contact information on my blackberry, my personal (gmail contacts) and my work contacts (via google apps). I would like to keep these contact lists separate and apart from one another, but accessible if required. However, as this device is primarily for work, I'd like to not have my personal contacts appearing every time i open the Contacts app. The effect I am trying to achieve is after opening contacts --> click menu --> click "Select Contact List..." --> and choosing one.Is there a way to save this as a preference/default so I don't have to filter each time i open my contact list?
Today, suddenly, my contacts won;t sync with Outlook. i tried to change the Default Contact list, but the only opion is a gmail account that is not on my phone anymore, not my Outlook account. How do i get the Outlook account back?
I am trying to change existing contacts that were unknowing saved in "Unknown Contact List" to "Default Contact List" can someone please explain if/how I can do this???? I have already tried deleting my address book and restoring it but that didnt work..i need my contacts in default to make the Vlingo app to work...

I am having difficulty resetting the Contact List default, so I can synchronize my phone and Outlook email contacts and calendar. I recently added a gmail account and this has become the default. I need to reset the Contact List back.I have deleted the gmail account from my phone and restored older backups, this doesn't work.
I have a Nokia N95 and when i go to my contacts none of the contacts appear and there is no "options" just "exit". The numbers are still in my simcard or phone as when people call me their name still appears. I just cannot see anyone's number. Can someone help me?
I have set my default ring tone under the Sounds, media, options and even custom profiles, but my contacts all stay on the classic ringer unless I go into each one individually and edit them. Which is a HUGE pain in the arse! I just want all my contacts to follow the ring tone I set on the phone and they refuse to follow the default
I just switched my OS to version 6.0 and I am careless to set a wrong email address on the filed of Contact List(SYNC) in Default Service of Advanced System Setting of Device under the "Option".
I've tried to cancel this email address on Google Mailbox and I remove this email address setting in my Bold 9700 as well. But this email address still exist in the filed of Contact List (SYNC)?
Anybody know how to remove or change it? Because in this field, there is no other option to change to my other email addresses!
Because of that, Blackberry Desktop Software can't synchronize my contact list to my laptop!
I have a Nokia N95 and when i go to my contacts none of the contacts appear and there is no "options" just "exit". was editing my contact list on my Nokia 6303 ci when unintentionally the battery has been removed. Now all the contacs on phone memory are vanished!! while I still have the contacts which were on my SIM card. ( I have checked memory in use and switched it between Phone and SIM , but it does not work) Is there a way for me ? (for sure in order to recover the contacs on phone memory and not to vanish the rest on SIM!
I've tried to update to 2.1 twice (once via PC Companion and once via SE Update Service) but have had problems with the new 2.1 after each attempt. Part of contacts list was missing even after backing up data. Font display is noticeably larger. Words on various apps are cut off. Also lost the user guides. Is it possible for me to revert back to 1.6? How to try and successfully install 2.1?
A few days ago, I noticed my default calculator is missing. The icon is not hidden or anywhere to be found. I've tried searching for outside apps. to install, but they're all so much more advanced and I just want something simple. Is there any way I can re-download the native calculator or find it somewhere on my device?
Over the weekend, I was suddenly no longer able to edit any of my existing contact information or add new contacts. I updated my phone, and that did nothing.
Blackberry dumped my contact list after 2 attempts to enter password (even thou password was correct) Anyway to retrieve my contact list I didn't know you could back it up therefore I didn't
I need some assistance which may seem like a very simple task BUT I'm having a very difficult time with it.I have a Blackberry 8900 and wish to transfer or move somehow my contacts list to my other black berry which is a 9780 Bold...
I am showing three different contact lists on my Curve 9310 and I want to delete two of them to remove all duplicates. Apart from deleting each contact individually (which I don't want to have to do with nearly two hundred of them) I can't see a way to remove a contact list.
I have a blackberry curve 8900 which I love but which I think may have broken my spirit this time. When I go into my contacts to search for a contact it just goes on to 'Add contact' - when I type the contact name into the 'find contact' option it then decides to add a new one instead. It will let me search my SIM card contacts but, not being the cleverest of people, my contacts aren't all on my SIM.If I go through the Search icon on my desktop and search through contacts it will let me find them through there but I don't understand why my contacts bit has changed, and how to reverse this?
The contacts are there when I go to SMS someone but if I am trying to send a message through MMS (ie a picture) then the same contact search problem occurs.I am not the most technologically-minded of people but I really love this phone and I don't know what I have done wrong!!
I'm trying to restore my bbm contact list via email, I receive the email but I know I shouldn't be able to see or "read" the email myself - It should do it automatically.
I cannot make phones calls from my contact list. When I try to do so it will tell me the number cannot be completed as dialed. I can manually type in the number and the contact name will come up. The call will go through then. However, even after a completed call, I cannot hit redial and complete the call again. I have to manually type it in each time. Is there a way to correct this?
Had a search but cant find anything about this on a 9300 curve
I have the pre installed facebook app and have just started adding some contacts , now a few have added the facebook picture and logo and others havent, How can I ensure all my contacts (well the ones on facebook) have the picture showing ?
