BB Curve :: Edit Calendar To Show Smaller Time Increments Rather Than Hours?
May 24, 2010
Is there a way to edit the calendar to show smaller time increments rather than hours? I cant schedule more than one appt in an hour unless i put it somewhere else and then change the time.
I have a 30 minute voice recording, which I would like to break into 6 x 5 minute recordings. All the online guidance explains how to trim, which deletes the parts not required, which is not what I want - I want the whole recording, but split into more manageable files.
I travel a lot to different timezones with my iPhone, and have just got back from India which is 4.5 hour ahead of the UK. Since getting back and resetting the timezone in General - Date & Time to London, I've found what seems to be a bug.
I have my iPhone synced to our Exchange server at work.
When I received ICS meeting requests from anyone, the meeting request notification that appears shows the time in India Time Zone, even though if I then open the request it's shown as the correct time in my Calendar and in the details of the request.
As mentioned, I'm set the the correct timezone in Date & Time. And in Calendar settings I've tried with TimeZone Support both on and off, but nothing makes a difference.
I have also tried rebooting the iPhone. I haven't done a restore yet as I have loads of stuff on there and it takes ages to restore.
Symptom: Calendar takes ~5 seconds to load. Upon loading, another ~5 seconds till it will respond to any activity. I have it default to Agenda view, as I always have. Prior to v5.0.0.607 this was NEVER an issue. Work-around: If I turn "show free time" to ON, then it works perfect. Loads instantly, scrolls instantly, etc. However, turned OFF, it reverts to issue above.Problem is that I really don't want to show the free time on my view. Whom else has this issue, anyone? Does anyone know how to resolve this?
After upgrade IOS 8.1.1 I have no service in my IPhone 5, lost WiFi connectivity from time to time and the battery is draining within hours. I tried everything that Apple support told me to do and still did not fix the problem.
I've had a handful of times I've looked to check the time and it is off by at least 5 or 6 hours. The time zone is correct under settings and it eventually fixes itself... but it is really strange. When I send a text while the time is off the time stamp on the text is also off.
When inputting a time for an appointment or an alarm, th time selection wheel doesnt show 24 hour time format anymore since updating to IOS 5.1. I have an iPhone 4 and the general time setting is on 24 hr time format.
I receive messages from people hours after they tell me they sent them but when I receive them it has the current time listed, as if it was just sent. It would be fantastic to know the msg was sent at 10am and now being 2:30pm, I can have a better reply. It's definitely with the phone, because I know a few of the people have the same service provider but different phones. When messages are received on my wifes phone, it shows when they were sent, not the current time. I've looked at my settings but do not see a way to change this, is there a way?
have been using my defy for a few weeks now, waiting för 2.2 but, i cant get more battery time than about 36 h, and that whit no extra apps, everything i can fin is off except gsm what i culd read before i bought i was, up to 238 h time i can accept poor batterytime if i use it a lot and whit bt,wifi, gps and more things on and running, but havint it as a normal phone an charge it every night is, about back to 1995 and my first gsm phone what is possible to do to get more batterytime?
I just got my iphone 6 plus (ios 8.0.2) yesterday and start to charge on 11pm until the next day morning 7am. But i found that the battery was 100% but never go to fully charged. Then i just leave it there for another 2 more hours to charge. But the result remain the same (battery 100% with the little lightning bolt symbol beside it). May i know is it some hardware problem or anything else i need to do to make it 100% fully charged? I've off the wifi as well as the cellular too.Â

Is there a way that, when setting a time on a calendar item, that the time can be locked?Example:When travelling, the time of airline flights is set when at home city.Phone is set to Auto Time, to display the system time. I.e., when travelling to a different time zone, the local time is used by the phone.Problem: The time in all calendar items are adjusted to the time zone travelled-to, not the value orginally set. Therefore the time of an airline flight is advanced (or reduced), and does not reflect the time that the flight actually departs.. a problem. One work-around is to leave the phone time setting to home time, but then the phone can't be used in place of a watch. Is there a setting in the calendar function that ignores current phone time?
I recently traveled overseas and had all my calendar items show on my iPhone as in the new locations time (ie, they moved X hours so wrong, but consistent). So the Appointments stayed in my home time zone, they just showed in the equivalent time period on the iPhone calendar.Â
When I returned home, my Calendar on my MacBook reverted to normal (ie, all appointments went to the correct, original time) but the iOS Calendar has somehow locked into the other time zone that I visited for a week or so. How can I get all the appointments on my iPhone to show correctly without changing or losing any of them.
i saw on kevin's Internet video about the blackberry messenger stress test that it said "crackberry.com" at the top where it would normally say the network's name. is there a way i can actually enter in what i want or at least have the network's name on there? it's really annoying to have that blank space there at the top of the screen. it looks awkward for me.
And there is no way to fix it without messing up my google calendar times. I see this has been a problem for many users for several months now. It's very surprising that it hasn't been fixed by now - obviously not a priority. I'm in NZ so there are no countries 7 hours ahead of us meaning the bug is probably not timezone related. The only way around this is to use a facebook app to sync. I am using the latest firmware. It happens whether I have set the phone to use my timezone or not. There is another problem - there's no way to turn off facebook birthdays while keeping events. This means my calendar is cluttered up with birthdays even single day.Besides that and the fact my network connectivity isn't as good as my cheap Huawei from before (data, what data?), this is an amazing phone!
My phone hasn't backed up in six weeks. It is on Wi-Fi, plugged in, and locked. Data size is around three gigs. It says estimated time 37 hours, or gets stuck on "estimating backup time." It also Will not work manually. I was also unable to upload a five minute movie.
I have a new 9900, having been on a 9000 previously. The weekly calendar view in the 9000 showed the full day but in the 9900 it only shows 5 hours, so I need to scroll up and down to see spare slots in each day. I know there is an agenda view as well, but if I prefer the weekly view does anyone know if it is possible to show more hours? Changing font size for just the calendar view, maybe? Or another setting I haven't noticed?
I just bought the n900 and it's great but I ran into bit of a problem regarding Conversations and SMS. Somehow, every message I recieve is timestamped 5 Hours behind my time. I live in Toronto, Canada and my settings for Time and Date + World Clock are all set to reflect my time zone (+5 GMT) When I reply, it posts the correct time. Example- Me: Hey (05:02 pm) Person: wsup (12:03 pm) Me: nm (05:04 pm) It's quite unpleasant to see the times all messed up. I've double checked all the basic settings and nothing points to a solution.
I have tried several different OS versions - including the current 5.0.0.442, and several previous versions, and I cannot set "show free time" and "show end time" to "no". I have also tried this across different devices since TMO just warranty swapped my old one and it is still happening on the new one. When I change it to "no" it won't save - I can click "save" and nothing happens, I can't exit the screen until I click "discard". Ideas? This makes me nuts.
I had been having some difficulty editing the 'location' on my upcoming events - I'd touch the 'save' button, the app would seem to respond correctly, but the change wouldn't stick. (Other edits, such as time or date, seemed to process properly)
Well, I think I may have found the answer. My calendar app is one I use all through the day, and so it's always on the new Lollipop app/website switcher carousel. Any app on that carousel is fixed in its last state. This must have consequences where are links with other apps - in this case Maps. The existing link stays intact until the app is truly closed.
Editing an event's location is therefore not possible unless Business Calendar is first closed, accomplished by simply removing it from the carousel. Then the event can be successfully updated. (Immediately afterwards, of course, the app is back on that carousel)
This may be a general problem/solution where the app/website switcher is concerned.
I just tried to edit an existing event in my calendar and everytime I click edit I get a force close error. I've rebooted the phone but it's still doing the same thing.
