Title says it all really, I had the same model of blackberry but needed a new phone. When I recieved it I had the same number but I couldn't automatically connect to the internet, including bbm, the app world and general browser.
Even when I manually connect to my home wifi I am unable to use any of these services, whereas before I could use any of them without my home internet, as it connected automatically to another server? Which i'm assuming it is supposed to do as my sibling have the same package and can do.
I've tried rebooting numerous times but with no success.
I am having trouble fixing my BB Curve 8520, I can connect to my Wi-fi (home) but everytime I use the browser it says Cannot connect to the internet. Please contact your service provider, which I did. What could have happened to my device? What settings should I change to get back on using my BB to connect to the internet?
When connecting my device to my pc on the do you want to connect screen, I hit the 'dont ask me again' button on the device by mistake. Now I cannot see how to reverse this so as to download my photos from device to pc. I tried reloading, no go, and my provider cannot answer this one. Nothing on help menus that I can see, any ideas?
After installing Desktop Manager, it says 'to begin plug in Blackberry via USB'. I have done this in every possible way... but the computer doesnt recognise it at all...
After trying 3 days to get my BB 8310 Curve connected to my network provider (I do have a data plan and internet plan) Iīm a little bit upset.
The problem: I have all necessary data-plans and also registered my BB on the internet at the Web-Page (BIS?).Ok, my handheld is also recognised and the system doesnīt complain. But: on my handheld I can see only the word "edge" (in small letters - this shows that no data-plan is active as we know, but thatīs not true) and not "EDGE" as it should be.An even better suspicicous issue: I called with the hotline from my provider and he also could see within his database that my handheld is registered and all plans were active.
So I tried following: I inserted my SIM to another BB and it worked! (not so with my BB) I also inserted another SIM from my colleague (who also uses a BB) and what happened? Nothing - also no connection.
So I assume that thereīs somehow a bug in my handheld? Has anybody an idea? I would very appreciate it.
By the way, I have the latest OS: Package Version: 4.5.0.312 Consisting of: * Applications: 4.5.0.187 * Software Platform: 2.7.0.109
My blackberry has worked with BIS and BES since ive had it, but a few days ago its just stopped working i cant send messages using bbm or connect to any of blackberrys apps (blackberry app world)

8520 orange Bb .How can i connect Internet when I connect with PC by Desktop manage application .If possible reply configure steps and I cannot login Yahoo messanger too.
wi-fi. Koodo customer service said that BB might be blocking my wi-fi access in some way because I don't have a data plan, yet when I cancelled it, I was told that I would be able to access my emails, etc as long as I was in a wi-fi zone.
I remember seeing something but I'm not sure anymore. That your DM needs to match your OS or something? Except that, I wanna tether with my BB (Yes I have a plan for it) and on my provider web page, they say I need DM 5.0 EXCEPT that I have a 8310 and I'm on OS 4.5
My daughters phone used to connect as USB and you could see her phone from the computer (iMac, Windows). Now when she chooses USB it does not prompt for password, and only connects for charging as if she chose Charge Only.
I don't think it's the computer, same effect on our iMac and 2 Windows computers. Is there a setting in her phone which needs to be changed, or some software update (it seems to be fully updated)
Recently, my wife got a Curve 8520 from Rogers and I want to transfer some photos and stuff to my PC. When I connect it via USB, I get the familiar sound that says it detects it, but it doesn't show up anywhere on my list of devices. Blackberry Desktop Software recognizes it, but won't sync any media; it says media storage unavailable. Mass Media Mode on the phone is on. Some things to note: Running Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2 Running Blackberry Desktop Software v6.0.0.43 I am not using a hub to connect the BB. I also have a Bold 9000, than connects no problem, albeit a different USB cable.
My BB is not connecting to WiFi Following directions, I ran the loader.exe file. Once the reinstallation of the OS, I was able to access WiFi. However, as I turned off the battery to insert the SIM and connected agian I no more accessed WiFi. If I run the loader.exe again comes the error message: BB Desktop SW does not have BB Desktop SW for the device. Contact your provider, etc
So my phone got wiped, lost everything. When i started to set everything up again (wifi etc) i noticed BIS does not connect through wifi anymore. It did before my phone got wiped. Is this temporary or do I need to do some fiddling around?
I have a 42" Hissense tv & everytime try to view the contents on my phone by connecting via usb, the tv does not pick it up & says no device. What do I do to connect?
I am having a problem with my bb 9300 that I have for about a few days ago, and I haven't had been able to connect it to the 3G. As final option they have said me: or to contact with the blackberry team (what it's impossible because the only number I've found redirect me to my carrier) or to send the device to the technical service (what I don't want).I have an Internet Plan and the Blackberry Service activated. I can also navigate perfectly, and use app like messenger, but with the GPRS speed, not the 3G.
