BB Curve :: Battery Charges So Slow Via USB Or Wall Charger
Mar 10, 2012
My BB Curve 8520's battery charges so slow. I thought that maybe my battery is just so drained since I usually charge when my battery is dead. But i have noticed that in the succeeding days, it really charges so slow. And today, as i speak, is the worst.I have started charging at 10am and until now (time here in the Philippines is 3:30pm), it is still low battery. Thus, it has been 5 hours of charging.
Twice in the past week it seems like the charger (OEM Blackberry Wall Charger) actually killed the battery when charging overnite !! Put it on charger overnite as usual and the first time it happened i looked at the phone in the morning and it said something like "shutting down due to low battery" Put it on the car charger and finally powered back up but then would not recognize the media card, had to do a battery pull to get it back. Couple days later got some wierd "OS system failure" message in the morning but this time didn't lose the media card. Both times when i left the phone it showed that it was charging. Haven't left it on overnite anymore but seems to be fine when i use the charger for a short period.
My 32gb iPhone 5 died on me and I plugged it in so it can charge and nothing happened for the longest time. After several hours it was charged to 35% and it kept charging really slow. The phone would also get really warm, more warm if I tried using it while it was charging. When I would unplug it, it would die really fast or would jump down 10-20%, with little to no use at all, in a few minutes and when I plug it in it jumps up to the percent it was at and then continue charging very slowly. I'm using a wall socket with the apple chord and the apple power adapter, and I have turned it on and off. me figure out what is wrong and how I can possibly fix it?Â
I can't find this similar problem in other forums, I don't have time to drive to downtown to ask an apple employee and since it is over a year they won't do anything to fix it anyway, can't chat with customer service because I have to pay 20 bucks and it is not worth it. Apple needs to make better products and get better customer service.
I just picked up the iPhone 3gs on Monday and have two questions that. Forgot to find out before I got the phone. I bought a white iPhone 3gs and wanted to know is the phone still plagued with overheating and discoloration problems? Second question I am wondering if I buy a mophie juice pack air a coupple of months would that negatively affect my battery on the iPhone. What I mean by this is I heard that aged four hundred complete charges and draining of the iPhone battery the phones battery only holds 80% of the charge it use to. My question is does using a charger help increase time it takes the iphont to reach 400 chargeres quicker than it would if I did not use the charger?
I've had a Bionic since Day 1, charged it the same way, yadda yadda.Last night, I noticed it was no longer charging when I had it on the dock. So, I tried charging it from the wall directly, still not charging.Tried changing outlets, still no go.Plugged it into a USB charger, and it's working.I have it that way in the dock right now, but the old non-usb charger isn't working.Did it burn out? Is it resting?
My iPhone will not charge with the wall charger it came with. The phone will charge with my car charger and when I connect it to the computer. Should I replace my wall charger, and how do I go about doing that?
My MotoACTV came without a wall charger. I have two available at home, on generic, that states an output of 5.0V+/- 5% ans 300mA +/- 30mA. The other is the iPad one, wich states an output of 5.1V and 2.1mA. Can one of these be used safely? I can't find specs for input charge in the device manual...
I've had my N8 three weeks now, and the last few days I seem to have a problem charging the phone. When I plug in the wall charger, the phone fails to recognize that I plugged it in. No charging message, no beep, nothing. I also tried plugging the USB cord into an outlet via an USB adapter, and nothing happens.
I tried plugging the phone into my computer via to charge and it seems to be working at the moment..
But this is unacceptable. I will not be around a computer all the time. Why isn't my N8 detecting when I plug it in using the provided wall charger? Is this a hardware issue? Do I need to return/repair it? Is this a software issue and Nokia plans to fix it in an upcoming update?ve had my N8 three weeks now, and the last few days I seem to have a problem charging the phone. When I plug in the wall charger, the phone fails to recognize that I plugged it in. No charging message, no beep, nothing. With all the problems bb having I tryed to reboot my mobile by pulling my battery, yes the battery was low but when I put it back in my phone was dead I have tried charging by usb and wall charger, my computer wont find it and I don't know what to do I also tried a new battery sill no good!
my iPhone 4s won't turn on unless plug into wall charger, but after I did that my phone showed some things wrong like the clock changed to 7AM, no network service (keeping searching), wifi disabled (can't click), then a minute later it went freeze. What happen and what can I do? Now I'm out of country, What can I do?
Out of nowhere my phone will not charge using the wall charger. It will charge using the computer usb connection. I hadn't had the computer usb hookup connected for a long time bit I downloaded some photos. Ever since the wall charger hasn't worked.
last night my phone just stopped recognizing every android wall fharger i have. 3 other android devices all work fine, only thing not charging is my x2. As of now the only way to charge it is by plugging it into my computers usb port.
My iPhone 5S charges fine when USB plugged in at wall but when plugged into computer nothing happens. I have tried using a different cable and computer but the same results. Any way to fix this as I would like to sync my phone again?Â
I hold a Nokia Lumia 800 phone. When I try to charge my phone using the electric/wall charger, the phone indicates that it is getting charged, however it isn't! The Diagnostics application confirms this. The phone does charge fine through my laptop.
I took my phone to the Nokia Care Centre and they replaced the charger. However, the problem still persists and Nokia Care now is completely clueless on what to do next.
I have a macbook pro and updated my blackberry to version 220.127.116.113. after I've done this, the wall charger doesnt work on the blackberry anymore. The battry only gets charged when i connect it with the usb to the macbook. I bought a new wall charger, but the same problems remains. Whats strange is, that blackberry shows the flipping clock (as it always did when I connected it to the wall charger and it loaded the battery) plus it shows the blue charging symbol on the top left.Last night, when I got the red battery symbol I connected it to the wall charger again, but I went out because of low battery.whats also strange is, after I pull the battery and put it in again, i get the following error message after the blackberry has loaded: "Uncaught exception: Index 4 >=4"
I usually plug into a computer whenever I am at work or a lot of time at home, but I have recently discovered that I cant charge off my wall adapater anymore. I have tested multiple wall chargers, as well as multiple cables, and while they all work on a computer USB port, and the chargers can charge all my other devices fine (including a HP Touchpad that has higher power reqs than the phone), the phone refuses to charge off the wall. I have gone into the Android recovery and did a factory reset as well as clearing the cache, but no go.
My 3gs will now only turn on if it is plugged into the wall charger. When it finally turns on, it gives me the "Requires Activation" message then a screen comes up that says plug phone into itunes. Plugged into my Mac Computer, and doesnt even recognize it. Also immediately after taking phone off wall charger, it shuts off.
We have a BB wall charger (not 3rd party). It works perfectly with my Bold 9700 and it used to work with the Torch as well. All of a sudden it started not to charge the Torch (wall charger). You plug it in and there is no response from the phone whatsoever. But, if you plug it to your PC/Laptop it charges through the USB power.Another thing we noticed is that it no longer gives you any options like "usb drive" "sync media" or "charge only". Also, it is a bit wiggly on the phone side (fitting of the microUSB plug). It wasn't as wiggly before the problems, but there doesn't seem to be any obvious physical damage or any reason for a damage (as much as we know).
I've ordered two Bionics - they havent arrived yet, but I've read two reports online that only the Moto wall charger works effectively for charging the phone. One person in particular couldn't get the phone past 40% charge without switching to the Moto charger.
This makes me think the myriad micro-USB cables and chargers I have at home, in my car, and at work (where I usually charge via USB) aren't going to work w/my Bionic, including a charging station/organizer I have conveniently located in my kitchen.
(1) When connecting to wall-charger at night, device does not automatically enter bedside mode, even though specified in settings. When manually entering bedside mode, the screen goes black after several seconds; unplugging the device reveals that the device is in bedside mode, but isn't known because of black screen.(2) When connecting to USB-charger to my PC, the phone enters bedside mode and stays in bedside mode like it should.Device info9550Verizonv18.104.22.1685 (Bundle 1656, Platform 22.214.171.1242)Apps and free spaceFile free before battery remove/replace: 116765295 Bytes File free after battery remove/replace: 118299711 BytesDid a battery pull fix your issue
I've been experiencing this problem for the past 3 days and went to my provider today to ask about. My phone has been running extremely slow, the hour clock thing is forever running, and as a result my phone dies in about 3 to 4 hours with no real use. I was told it was because i need to update my OS but when I came home and plugged it in it says that my phone is up-to-date and there is no OS upgrade available. i bought a replacement battery to see if that was the problem and it is not. this is becoming quite frustrating. it has even gotten to the point of when i lock the phone i cant unlock it over even get the screen to turn on. the only way to turn it on is to pull the battery out
