I just want to ask regarding issues on my Blackberry 9380's battery performance. Before I decided to buy this model, I considered the battery life because I would always be out most of the day , the reviews were great actually better than the reviews for my old 8520 but I was surprised to find out that my battery does not even last more than 12 hours. The battery would also be warm every once in a while.

The battery charge was ok for the first couple of cycle (every alternate day) and in the last 2 cycle the battery gets charged and drains within a few hours being in standby mode. View 8 Replies View RelatedI've had a BB Curve 9360 (I think!) for just over a year and in the last few months it has started to get really hot and run the battery down really quick. I charge it up over night every night and before lunch time it has drained completely without even using it except to maybe send the odd txt msg or check the time. I have checked that every application is closed down, turned off my WIFI and sometimes even my phone service but it seems to have no effect. It doesn't always do this it used to be once every couple of weeks and now it's more like every other day.

And it was all working fine until a couple of days ago.Now the battery only seems to last for about 2.5hours, from being 100% to shutting off because of low battery. I havent got applications running in the background, and have read and followed all of the maximise battery life posts.I used to be able to leave it for a day or more with it being fine.
What can I do to solve this, as it is really inconveniencing my life at the moment, because it just isnt staying on long enough for me to do anything.and its a blackberry curve 8250 and the battery says 'capacity 1150mAh' and C-S2.
I bought BB curve 9360 on 16th December 2011 from the carrier Windmobile but since January 2012 battery charge does not last more than 2 to 3 hours after fully charging the battery. And after this charge I can only talk 20 to 30 minutes.

My curve's (which is 2 months old) battery is dying after only 18 hours on standby, and it takes it forever to load anything. She just gets stuck with the little "loading" clock in the middle of the screen. That, plus the fact that I fear answering a single call will make my battery die at the rate its going. Even without using it for anything, it starts the day fully charged and loses juice by 6pm, when I have to turn it off. I've had it since March, it has had a new battery (about a month into my contract with Orange), and I also have Battery Booster enabled.

It said loading but the little cog wheel was not turning and after about ten minutes i took the battery out as every button was frozen. Now it seems to be working OK but every few minutes there is a little black square appearing in the middle of the screen with like a second hand in it. I am guessing there is some sort of programme running in the background? I have tried hard re booting (ie removing the battery when the phone is on) a couple of times but the battery is still draining and the little black square keeps appearing?

One of the main issues I have at the moment, other than no turn-by-turn navigation (sorry, had to mention it), is the battery life - or lack of!
On an average weekday I use the phone to send a few texts (no more than 10), scan the news sites (no more then 20-30mins total) and catch up on my RSS feeds (again, no more than 20-30 mins total). I'm not using the media player at all and I may make one or two short calls.
Bottom line is that I'm struggling to get more than 6 hours battery life out of it. I know smart phones are thirsty, but I don't even get to listen to music on my way to or from work!Here's what I've already done to reduce battery consumption:
Removed active widgets (such as ForcaWeather) from desktops and replaced with web shortcuts.Reduced screen brightness to 2 barsDisabled GPS & Network positioningDisabled IMDisabled BluetoothI've heard some mention reducing the amount of active desktops, but I think that kinda defeats the object of having a N900. May as well buy a lesser phone if you need to strip out all the functionality to get though the day. I'd be satisfied with 8-10 hours medium use. At the moment I'm getting around 6 hours at light use - got to be something I'm missing.

However I am still seeing edge on the top right screen. Even if I perform a manual search for available networks I am only finding 2g. But when I put my sim in a bb torch os6 and do the search I will get both 2g and 3g.Because of this I cannot use the mobile hotspot option as well.I have tried almost everything my carrier has told me to do.

When i install sim card into the phone, i have incoming message: Your device are registered. 3G and BB logo are signed on display. BIS service has alredy running in to the my account. But the applications, brouser and email do not work. I called to my cell operator and tell him for my issue. They asked me to come to their offices and to test my phone. Later, they were told that this phone is not visible on the server RIM.

I use my iPhone for calls and emails - I am not a huge user and don't have too many apps on it. THis is the second day in a row when I have been charging my battery twice at night and in the morning when I wake up. I expect the battery will run out today as well before 6 p.m.

I am getting a error on my Curve stating "could not open the camera, close other aplications and try opening the camera again" it was still working a couple of days ago. I only noticed a problem after upgrading Wikitude to the latest. Now my camera will not work at all. I reloaded the OS and deleted Wikitude and I am not sure wether it is Wikitude. I do know that some have hade problems loading the ap and it came up with the same type of error. I did not drop my phone and the camera was working till that upgrade.
