I purchased a replacement D-X1 battery for my 8900 Curve yesterday. When I removed it from the box I noticed that instead of a series of English numbers and letters against the Lot Code there were 2 Chinese letters / symbols.Can anyone advise if this means if I have been had and it is not a genuine battery?
I keep getting an error message that says "uncaught error: java.lang.null.pointerexception." I wiped out my handheld, but every time it restarts that message comes back up. When I go to my text messages, and I hit the "menu" button, nothing happens it just freezes and doesn't let me scroll up or down until I hit "menu" again.
I downloaded an update of an app last night that needed to restart my 8350. On the restart, the error screen with "JVM Error 102" came up and the start up will not continue. I removed the battery and did the reset, but it still stops before it loads up. I have the unit backed up, but I cannot access the phone because of the error screen. Can't see the phone from the BlackBerry desktop on the computer to install my restore / back up!
When I try to sync my Outlook 2003 calendar entries with my Curve, I get the following error:"Error encountered. Error code - 0x80043ac9. Check documentation."It seems to be stuck in the "Processing Device Calendar" screen, with "Record 20 of 80 Records", when the above error popped up. See screenshot below.I have NO PROBLEM syncing Outlook Contacts or Memos. I ONLY have problem when syncing Outlook Calendar.I've read other posts out there where there was a similar problem when syncing Contacts, and the solution is to remove Birthday contact entries:[URL] But I don't have any Birthday in my contacts, and my problem is with Calendar, not Contacts.
This is a 8330m i had but havent used in forever. i had it password locked but forget the password at the time. so it resetted itself and i didnt bother with it after that. now it showed up a 513 error so i used JL_cmder and wiped it. now it has a 507 error and i tried to use DM4.6 to install 4.5.175 OS and it keeps saying "no software is available for this device" when i try to manually locate the loader.exe file i click it and says "no additional applications designed for this device were found." the vendor.exe file has been deleted and all other OS were deleted. DM doesnt say connected but when i click apploader the PIN shows up. I tried to do the OS install without the battery and it wouldnt work. i tried the "how to recover a dead blackberry" and it sort of gets to the beginning but when it locates the blackberry, the blackberry shuts off and doesnt turn back on.
I've got the app error code coming up on my phone when I start up but all advise at the moment says to connect to the desktop manager but I cant as the phone wont turn on due to the error code!
Had an interupted download from Desktop Services at the weekend and my phone has been "frozen" since with a screen message "app error 285 - reset". have tried reconnecting to Desktop Services to no avail - always connecting never connected.
When synchronizing my Blackberry Curve 8530, the "error code 0x8004ffff" appears. All of the contacts on my BB Curve are gone.I had synched the BB Curve with MS Outlook 2010. I have up to date software for the desktop and device. Earlier I had followed instructions to deal with error code 0x80040fb3. The sync had been interrupted by empty email 1 and not empty email 2. The instructions fixed the sync and the error code went away.Now "error code 0x8004ffff" appears. I wonder if the BB Curve is looking for an address file "default" while the Outlook contact file has another name? Only I do not know how to find out the Outlook contact file name.How do I get my contacts to sync with the BB Curve again?
My friend recently got a BB curve 8520, which was locked by a MEP code, so he went and purchased an unlock code and when he entered the code it gave an error that the MEP code has been entered 10 times already. So what should he do?
I had a query yesterday where my phone after being returned did not have Word Mole - I was given advice as to how to get this game back. I followed the instructions and the game is back, but so is the error 80003. this error is when trying to access BB aps. So i am back where i started. Would taking Word mole off the phone remove the error? Or how do i get rid of the error.
I have BB 8900. No email on it. No data plan on it. I synch with desktop PC for get Outlook contacts and calendar. Am running ver 6.1.0.35 of the BB Desktop Software.At the office I am getting "error code 0x8004005" when I synch. After clearing the error, the synch routine continues to run but the phone does not update the calendar and contacts.However, on my home computer I can synch and it works just fine. Any suggestions on how to get the synch to work at both locations? It used to a few month ago.
Its High Time Since Im Trying With This Issue, And None Of The Forum's Solution Has Worked Out For Me. Whenever I Try To Login Facebook Through Facebook App For Blackberry, I Get A Message Stating " We Were Unable To Log You In. (2406).Not Only With My Device, But I Get The Same Error When I Try Login Facebook Through Any Of The Blackberry Device.
error code - 0x8004fd22 during intellisync. Everything was fine last week, now it's not. All works except the calendar. i got it to go from the puter to the phone, but it won't work the other way.
I am a new eager blackberry user, I got a 8900 recently. I was updating it this morning and was in a rush and I took out the battery by accident. this gave me the app error 205. I've read some of the forums involving this error where I should reboot the whole OS. The problem is that my DM reads the device. When I try to reupdate the phone it stops at the reading service information (roughly 7% of the bar) and it won't go further. I've also tried restoring the phone, but no luck. any help?
I upgraded my 8900 to 5.0.0.681 recently. After that, every once in a while, the phone goes into SOS mode with "Invalid Sim" error. This happens intermittently and gets fixed as soon as i restart the phone (not battery pull). Is something wrong with the upgrade? The phone is a factory unlocked phone.
Just last night I got the white screen with the reload software: 507 error. I was downloading some new apps my phone just crashed, so I tried to reload the software and all that. When at the loader app, the "waiting to initiate device" step, my phone turns on but with the error and the loader doesn't recognize my phone and asks me if I want to retry or cancel everything. I have tried a bunch of methods out there on the other forums, but they didn't work.
Earlier today I went to put some pictures of my Curve on to the computer so I plug it in etc. it then tells me I need to update the phone so I agree. It was taking a while to update and I had a bus to catch so against my better judgement I disconnected the phone and now I get the "App Error 205." So I ask what is the best way to fix this for a techno-noob and will I lose my contacts etc?
I'm trying to update my BB 8900 from 4.6.1 to 5 but am getting some errors. I get as far as the available versions ( using IE9 ) and i select 5.0 Bundle 1682 and I get the following error
There was an error updating your software This BlackBerry® Device Software upgrade includes new features and significant enhancements to the BlackBerry® solution and, as such, is only available to users with an active BlackBerry subscription. To learn more about BlackBerry® service, [URL]. Now I'm registered with BB. I have been using the desktop manager to try and update also but also getting errors. I havent unplugged the battery, and the laptop I'm using is a vista machine 32bit with loads of hard drive and loads of ram. I dont know what i'm doing wrong, I thought or figured it should be a pretty easy process.
Also I have downloaded "8900M_PBr5.0.0_rel1682_PL5.2.0.104_A5.0.0.1036_Vodafone_Ireland" and ran this but still now update.
I continue to get the error message listed in the subject each time I try to sync me device with my computer. I tried uninstalling all of my Blackberry software, then re-installing and I still contine to get the error message (which makes me thing it is an issue with my phone).
I have a problem with my recent calls or rather the call log (sorry, but since English is not my mother language I might mix up the terms but let me explain)When I push the green phone button in the main menu I am used to finding a menu where i can see who I last called, who called me and so on. Little green and blue phone symbols next to the names indicate whether a call was incoming or outgoing.This menu does not work somehow. When I press the green button I get some kind of list, which looks pretty much like the one I just described and which always used to be there, but the phone icons and the timestamps are missing! So I cannot see, whether any given call was incoming or outgoing and what time the call was made.Is there any way to fix this?Can I somehow "reassign" the green phone button to my call log? Any help is greatly appreciated!
My BB 8900 is just about a week old. I had transferred a couple of videos and a few pics from my laptop on to the blackberry - and everything seemed fine for about a week. I was able to access both the videos & the pictures.
Now, for some strange reason, I'm getting the following error for my media card (and this is every time I plug out my BB from the USB connection to the laptop).
Following is the error -->
" ..A media card has been inserted that contains errors. To correct the errors please use a disk erro checking utility on a computer .. "
Now I can't access the videos and the pics on my phone. They dont seem to exist. The folders are all empty. But strangely, when I hook up my phone via USB to my laptop, I can still see the video & pic files in the Blackberry folder.
Q1 - What seems to be the problem? Is my media card corrupted ? If so, is this possible? since my unit is only about a week old.
Q2 - What is the appropriate way to plug/ unplug the USB from the Blackberry? I usually just plug it out . has this caused any problems, by any chance ?
I installed the official release for OS 5... and On boot I keep getting the following error Uncaught Exception: Application net_rim_bb_phone_app(54) is not responding; process terminated {ok}
I press okay and the phone seems to run okay, but it bugs me, any ideas?
