i currently own a prepaid monthly plan blackberry and one day the buttons just stopped working. i realized the problem was that i have to download the latest software, but because i dont have a data plan it wont let me.

I just got my new Curve 8520 from O2 (UK) and the software version is 4.6.1.314.. this seems to be really old?
Should I try an OTA update or should I force one using the links I can probably find on here?
I'm having a few issues with gmail not notifying me and a few other things, and I figure they have upgraded software for a reason!
Recently we updated our BES exp server to 5.0.3 for availing features of Balanced technology but BT can be enabled on devcies having OS 6 or later.We have approx 800 BB users database and approx 75 % users are on OS 5 means upgrading to 5.0.3 was in vain (Even can`t add it in my new intitiatives for good appraisal.My actual query is ....Are we going to launch OS 6 for BB 8520 as changing to device having OS 6, means have to change all device (Which include a huge commercial issue).To get the full value of joy u must hav someone to divide it with, hit like below the post. which helps u to be happy. Complained to Verizon and getting the Tour 9630. Not too happy because i will be leaving the trackpad and i hear battery life on the tour is so so. I wanted the new bold but they wouldnt let me. But they said if my new phone gives me problems, then might get the bold. Either way i want a good phone with decent battery.

When I hit the download button it takes me to the sign in for BlackBerry ID, then to terms and conditions and then to my ID settings! The only way I can get off this screen is to press Discard, which takes me back to where I started! I just keep going round in circles.

It then asks me to enter in my blackberry ID which I do, it then takes me to my information [such as email, username] and gives me options to change my password and recovery question but nothing else. I can't go forward and if I go back I just start again with the download screen and go around in circles!I've uninstalled and reinstalled app world, I've updated the OS, I've tried sending the link from my laptop to the BB but nothing works and I'm getting a tad cranky.
