I have a blackberry curve 8520 and I would like to know how to change the conversation style. A friend of mine has the same make of blackberry as me, and when she goes into the options menu etc., she has the option conversation style. However, on my blackberry I do not have this option and it is frustrating me, seeing as we both have the same make of phone?
View 1 RepliesI have looked at many many forums and have not found a suitable or satisfying answer. I set my Save Message History to Device. Now when I access my BB from the computer, I open the IM folder. This folder contains no saved conversations. All I see are *.BAK files and another file that probably contains a backup of my BBM contacts. When I am in an active BBM chat i see the View history link but it ONLY displays the last message not the entire previous conversation. Point is if I am saving my message history on the DEVICE then where exactly is it?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI tried to delete a series of messages i was recieving from a stranger but as i was deleting them from the sms screen i recieved a new text from a friend and it seems i have deleted all my messages from that friend as well as the stranger. Is there any way i can recover these messages? I would presume they are still stored somewhere on my phone,I should mention my phone is a Curve 8520 currently on v5

View 11 Replies View RelatedI got the Curve 8530 on Verizon... I receive a text message from a person, go to the sms icon on my home screen and click on it. My bb shows the new message with the persons's name and a preview of the text. I click on it to view it but it doesnt open the conversation. Then I'll try an older conversation and it works fine. But what is strange is that it will only continue to happen to that one contact. So ill receive a new text from someone else and i can read it with no problems.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI had to get a new bb becuase my old one messed up. With my previous plan I did not need the AT&T bb datapackage... I don't need one now. However, with the new phone, AT&T automatically added the BB dataplan. I cant get rid of it, and i dont want to get rid of the phone.
Heres what I did: I put my sim in another non-BB phone, call AT&T and deleted my dataplan. It worked. I then put my sim back into my BB, and a few mins later got a txt msg saying AT&T has added the BB data onto my phone. aaahhh! So, how do I change the IMEI number to my old non-BB phone, so that AT&T can't tell i'm using my BB?
i want my third party apps to use Google maps instead of BBMaps as BBMaps doesnt work.. i have a Curve 8520 therefore i have no GPS only GPRS. Apps that rely on finding your loaction will not work because BBMaps cannot find my location so i would like to change the default to Google maps but it doesnt appear in the drop-down list.

My problem is, when I put the phone in my holster it always unlocks itself by rubbing the mute button in my holster. Is there any way to change the button to unlock the keypad?

View 11 Replies View RelatedI have the Curve 8520 and I use the In The Know theme with the bottom sliding dock. I uninstalled Facebook from my BB but for some reason only calendar appointments that have the "sent with Facebook" at the top show up on my theme's calendar home area.
I want facebook completely GONE from my black berry but there's no calendar option that lets me get rid of the "Facebook calendar" or at least change it so when I make a new appointment it defaults to starting with my email instead of stupid facebook.
Is it feasible/easy to replace a (scratched) screen cover on a Curve 8520? What is the best place to get them?

I was really impressed with the phone at such a cheap price since I am a teen, the 8520 is perfect for me. But I downloaded a few apps which I can use at home when theres wifi but i cannot use the Twitter, Facebook, UberTwitter apps when not at home (No wifi). Does anyone have the same problems? When i try to log in or connect without Wifi, It does not connect. And on Ubertwitter, The app keeps running but it doesnt connect to gprs/wap.
