My blackberry Curve 8350i won't turn on. It just goes to a white screen that says error jam. I've tried restarting it and it doesn't help. I need to get a lot of the information off of there before getting a new phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've read around the forums and elsewhere but haven't found a solution yet Have an 8350i and with the Mobile network off (Nextel) I turn on wifi (both at home and at work) and it connects to the network, icon is white not gray Data service is on and was working before (had the phone for 9 months). I recently connected to desktop manager for the first time and updated all available programs,firmwares, etc, I'm assuming this is the root of the problem. Gmail and Facebook apps won't connect, (you need a working data connection bla bla) and same with Browser app.Any solution that doesn't involve downgrading, wiping clean? (I've pulled the battery, turned wifi on and off with no results)
View 10 Replies View RelatedMy phone froze up for a long time. I took the battery out, waited a minute and put it back. Now my phone will not reboot completely. After the Sprint screen, an 'uncaught inception' message pops up, then it proceeds to verify security software.....the screen turns bright white and a tiny message in the middle of the screen says: app error 523 with the word 'reset' highlighted under it.....I can't do anything but click on it, for it to shut down and go through the whole exact thing all over again..
View 9 Replies View RelatedI followed the instructions on the website and when I connect it to reload the software, the error number on the screen's device changes to 561 and a window opens to tell me the desktop software can't communicate with my blackberry.Once I clicked on repair and wrote in my password it simply tells me that there are no available updates of BlackBerry Device Software at this time and to put in my email so they can warn me when a new update comes out.I don't need to update the software obviously, just to reload any version of it so my phone can work again.

View 1 Replies View RelatedGetting quite frustrated with this phone now. I've had my BlackBerry Curve over a year now, and I'm on a 2 year contract with Orange. But I've had this problem. My phone will be fine when it's plugged into my computer or my charger, but when I take it out and start to use it, sometimes within 5 minutes, sometimes within hours, it can come up with this whiteness filling the screen. This leaves me with no choice but to take the battery out.
Then after that it refuses to turn on until I plug it in again. This is annoying me to the extreme because I can spend hours waiting for it to charge, then when it's fully charged I'll take it out, go out, put music on or something and it'll go off yet again. Sometimes it can just cut off without the white screen. Even then it won't turn back on without a power source. I've tried updating the software and that won't work.
My Blackberry 8520 curve suddenly hangs giving a white screen and when i restart it - the screen remains white. After i put it into charge - then only a successful start is done. So the only solution as of now i have - is whenever my blackberry hangs - i need to remove the battery - insert it again - and immediately put it into charging via USB/Electric-Power. Even if i re-insert the battery - the white screen comes - unless and until i put it into charging Earlier i was guessing - my battery was weak.

My old Motorola I870 would by default not ring and just let my BT alert me via the headset when an incoming call is being received. I don't want to use a quiet mode if at all possible? Because if in the event I should turn off my BT? I could miss calls if I forget to turn the Phone back to normal mode.

It must've happened a couple of times before without the error appearing because a couple of times in the last week when I hit menu I noticed "playing now" was missing, even though I was in the middle of an album. Anyone get this? IDK if I should install the Sprint version over this.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have plugged my phone into the charger after it had fully ran out of battery, only to watch the handset turn on and inform me of 4 text messages and 20 missed calls seconds before the white screen with the messaged "App Error 523" appears.After choosing to reset the same happens only the amount of missed calls has went up by 4. I have tried on various occasions throughout the day and it just keeps addin 4 calls each time before returning to the white screen.I have searched the Forums already and do not use Desktop Manager, therefore have no current back up.

I can't open text message center even though my text icon shows I have texts. Can't open message center although icon shows messages. Getting screen message "Uncaught exception: java.lang.Null PointerException". This phone was working fine I don't know what happened. I have reinstalled the battery.
