The phone will connect to my router fine and I can access the page (192.168.0.1) without problems, but I can't connect to anything on the internet. However once or twice google.com has worked for about 5 mins and that is it. I have tried battery pull lots of times and have wiped the device. In the diagnostics it says: 'Wireless or ISP network error' or 'DNS server cannot be reached'.I've tried manual settings and using hotspot browser. Also I have used 4 different routers and have had the same error. Also the Wi-Fi shows a yellow circle with a white line through the middle (unlike green for mobile network)The phone has been with Orange in the past with my dad's work, but is now pay as you go with Tesco. Is there anything I need orange to do to get my Wi-Fi to work?
I've just had my blackberry curve 8320 unlocked to any network, and now I have a 3 sim card in it but the network on the main screen still says orange, and I can't access the internet.
I have an unlocked t-mobile 8320 on at&t I can't connect to BIS and edge is not capitalized. I have a BIS data plan I can browse but no BIS stuff. I have loaded a new OS, have done multiple swipes, a have done multiple battery pulls, multiple host routing table registrations, have reentered my PIN and IMEI number at the att BIS login multiple times, have sent service books multiple times, and then just generally fulled around with the settings ALOT.I have switched my SIM card into someone elses phone which showed 'EDGE' and their SIM card into my phone which showed 'edge'.
Is there any hope for me? What can I do? What should I do? Also I want to thank BigbadWulf for the helpful OS installation instructions. I would link it but I'm a big newb and thus don't have the privilege.

Originally it was telling me there was a communication error, now it's saying unable to connect to internet, please try again later. I've tried restarting it, turning the networks on and off, everything. Signal is perfect; I can still send/recieve texts, just not emails or access the internet. I was using my blackberry to connect to the internet. It worked. I could browse, I could tweet and reply to them and use the BBM service. When I woke up this morning to check updates, I could not connect to the internet service anymore. There's always a prompt: Failed to connect to service (I forgot what was in between). So I called the service provider and told me to refresh my blackberry by turning it off and on. I did that several times already and it's not working. I already tried another method which was remove the sim and battery for at least 30 seconds and then put it back on.
I have a Blackberry Curve 8520. I bought it on july. It worked very well, but since 3 months ago, i can't connect the BB to internet (with Wi-Fi or WAP).
I tryed many Wi-Fi, i tryed all the options and now i'm so desperate...
I have a wireless network at my work (that is functional and works for my laptop) that I cannot figure out how to connect to with my Blackberry Curve 9300 OS 6.I can find the network, and when it prompts for the password and I enter it, everything appears as though it should work. The WiFi box is checked in "Manage connections" and on my home screen, at the top, above the time, it shows my provider's name and the WiFi network I'm connected to (Koodo - Arnason Lab <--- network name). When I try to use my browser though, I get the following message: "Unable to connect to the internet, please try again later. If the problem persists please contact your service provider." I called Koodo and they told me that this sounds like a device problem and that contacting BlackBerry would be my best bet. Is my browser set up to work via WiFi? Or is there something I'm missing about connecting to a WiFi connection?
ive just had a new sim card from talk talk it has been activated and is stating on their system that the internet for my phone has been activated but im still having troubles with it they have told me on the phone to contact blackberry but im still having no luck i would like my bbm service up.
I have a blackberry curve 9360 and I wanted to connect my blackberry to my home router while I'm at home, but away from the computer, so I did this:
-I went to Manage Connections
-I went to Wi-Fi Network
-My network at home, which is my saved network, shows up and I click on it
-instead of asking for a passcode even though it shows that my home internet is locked, it immediately starts trying to connect to my internet, and then says "Failed to authenticate against the network"
Since this happens ALL THE TIME, I went to "other ways to connect", then "Wi-Fi Protected Setup" and I see that the two options are "Press button on router" or "Enter PIN into router."So I clicked the first choice and it tells me to press the Wi-Fi Protected Setup button on my wireless router or its administration screen. That will probably get my internet working on my Blackberry?
I have the Curve 8520.I am a unique case of this, because with T-Mobile there is a way you can have a Blackberry without the data plan, so when I am trying to connect to the internet, it is ONLY through wi-fi.
On the home screen, the Wi-Fi Logo is lit up white, and it says the name of my network. However, when I try to access any webpage, the message comes up:"Unable to connect to the internet, please try again later. If the problem persists, please contact your service provider."It HAS worked before.
someone please help me I opted in to the blackberry internet service a few days ago and I tried to use blackberry messengger while not connected to wifi and it did not work I then connected to wifi and it worked can someone please help me so I don't have to use wifi.
My girlfriend has a BB Curve 9300, it was working all fine on the OS5. Last weekend she asked me if i could update her software, and i did so from the Blackberry Desktop Software and updated to OS6. Everything was working fine until we found out that it only connects to the internet if i use data service, but i dont want to because we have wi-fi at home. When i turn data services and while roaming OFF, and put wi-fi preferred, and when i try to open a web page in the browser it pop ups a window saying "Data Services are disabled. Go to Mobile Network to enable".
I bought an 8520 in Egypt a few weeks ago and used all internet services successfully with a provider there (Mobinil).
I had the PIN freed by Mobinil so I could register it with O2 in the UK, but I'm unable to access internet services although I'm on the correct data plan and my PIN is free to register. The handset works fine for calls and SMS via O2.
