Apr 4, 2010I've just gotten a Bold 9700 and noticed that even though I have the option to sync the profile pictures of my friends with my contacts profiles on the phone, the pictures for my phone contacts remain blank. The Facebook profiles are linked to my contacts and sometimes will show the Facebook profile picture but after a while the picture reverts to a blank icon again. I've also unselected the option to sync and re-enabled the option to update Blackberry contacts with my Facebook contacts to try and force the pictures to update but no success.
I was thinking that it might also be because of a conflict wiyth other apps trying to update the contact pictures seeing as I originally imported all my contatcs from my Gmail account but I am unable to figure out which other apps, if any, are updating contact pics and thereby turn them off.
Blackberry contacts linked to a LinkedIn profile show their LinkedIn profile pics correctly though and other than that I only have BB Messenger, GTalk, Windows Live Messenger and Facebook that are linked to my Blackberry contacts.Any ideas on how I can get my contacts' pictures to sync correctly with Facebook?
BB Bold :: Can't Find "new" Pictures In The Folder
Oct 2, 2012I'm a Bold 9700 user for years. Right now I'm dealing with this problem: Whenever I take pictures, I can't find them in my pictures folder. The pics that I shot before are there but the new ones cannot be found. But when I reboot my device, I can find the new ones as well.

May 23, 2012I accidentally deleted some pictures from my phone. I downloaded a software1 (not permitted to disclose the software) to recover my deleted pictures. However I could not recover them as this software was not free. I then downloaded blackberry desktop software and backed up everything. When I downloaded ZAR 9.1 it showed my memory card as being emptied. I then tried the software1 and it showed my memory card being emptied as well. I would like to learn how I can recover these pictures.

Apr 26, 2015if I take a picture I was always able to find it on my PC by browsing the DCIM folder but I can't anymore. I have it set to save to my SD card, it shows on the phone but not on my SD card even if I search by file name. I've done the searches from my internal and SD card on all folders not just DCIM. Pictures taken automatically start with the year & date so I first did a search with the actual filename 20150423_101014 of a picture I just took-no results. Then I did a search for everything that starts with 2015, only the ones prior to this issue showed up (as I said before this is a search on all folders internal & SD card) I recently brought my phone to the Sprint store because my phone would not install Android 5.0, they did a reset on it and since I got it back it's been like this (they couldn't figure that out so I still have Android 4.4.2). I have the LS990 variant.This makes zero sense to me, it has to be saved on the phone somewhere doesn't it?

Nov 5, 2013I am currently using HTC ONE, and i downloaded pictures from internet using opera mini.... Usually you can find and SEE the pictures you downloaded under "album" right? BUT I CAN'T FIND THEM ANYWHERE!!
I did select "show all pictures" under the setting selection of the album on the top right corner, and the "album" selection on the top left. When i just finished downloading the picture with opera, there's a choice of "view the picture with album" and at this moment I CAN SEE THE PICTURE
BUT! if i close opera and try to open it through album directly, I can't find them at all.
I've tried saving the pictures under various folders, none of them work. The part that really confuses me is that when I open the folders on my computer through HTC ONE Sync Manager, let's say I saved it under "screenshots". I can see the pic that I downloaded sitting there with the rest of the screenshots in the folder just fine yet when I use the "album" app that came with the phone originally, I can still see the screenshots that i made with the phone but the pics that i downloaded and saved are gone! Can't find them anywhere.
I downloaded some 3rd party file organizing app trying to solve it but the same problem occurred.
And I've used not just opera to download them...i've tried chrome, and the app that came with the phone originally. Same problem.
I was trying to save a pic and set it as my avatar last night and since i couldn't find it anywhere in the album in the end i had to take a screenshot of the photo, and then set my avatar through the screenshot pic (which is the one that could be viewed smoothly through album) .

Jul 25, 2015So recently I noticed that my storage was running low. I went to manage some storage space and noticed that my photos and videos were eating up half my space! Around 15 gb of pure pictures and videos. I was trying to make some more space and started deleting some pictures and then I was deleting some music, I took a break and when I looked again there was no more pictures or music on my phone anywhere! Yet when it still says my storage is running low. A lot of those pictures I wanted to keep. I'm trying to plug it into my computer but I cant find the file and still can't find any pictures or videos on it. I'm running out of options and I feel like I might as well reset it, but then again I don't want to lose those pictures or photos. It also surprises me that they were taking up so much storage space.

There is one picture contained in the internal memeory that I took when I first got the phone and before I put the SD card in it. The SD card is from my old Blackberry. Feb 18, 2010Through Control Panel, Settings,General,Personalization,Standby Mode,Mode Settings,Application Shortcuts, I have changed 3 of the 6 home screen shortcut icons to Google, BBC weather and EbayMobile. Unfortunately they all show on the home screen as an icon of the planet Earth, and it's only when I move the cursor over them that the wording appears to show which one is which !
Does anyone know if the home screen icons can be changed to other symbols/pictures so I can recognize them without having to hover over them ? I can't find any way on the phone itself that enables this to be done and I've also tried to find any mention of it on the internet, but no luck ! Has anyone else tried to do this and been successful ? - Would be pleased to hear from you if you are able to resolve this !
