May 15, 2012have just got a Samsung Galaxy S2 and created my first document on Polaris office, saving it as a .doc file. But when copying it to my computer and trying to open it, up flashes a Microsoft Office File Validation security alert, saying that a problem has been detected in trying to open the file and that opening it is probably dangerous and may allow a malicious user to take over my computer.I'm aware that there are issues with MOFV over reading some file formats -- has anyone come across this? Is it that MOFV can't read Polaris files, or is there the possibility of something sinister going on? I've run two different antivirus programme scans (installed on two different computers) on this file, which haven't flagged anything.

Jun 4, 2012I've been working on this now (i.e., researching blogs, google, etc.) for hours and it is NOT going well! I have a new Blackberry Bold 9900 that I need to sync with MS Office Outlook 2007, particularly the contacts and calendar. I am using OS7.1 Bundle 921 (v 7.1.0.267 Platform 5.1.0.230) and Desktop Manager. The config setting in DM for Contacts Account shows only Windows Contacts, with no option to change to Outlook. When I then attempt to sync, the process wants to add all the contacts in my BB to some unknown address book on the computer. My BB shows my BB contacts as "default", whatever that is. My frustration is mounting exponentially. I am a converted iPhone user that really wants to give RIM a chance, but this isn't going so well.

Am able to access it but every few seconds I keep getting asked for the phone key store password. Is there anyway to avoid it? Tried moving the personal certificate as a phone certificate, but that doesn't help with the authentication.

Jan 27, 2010Just got a BlackBerry bold 9700 smatphone (on O2 UK). (nice phone!) I'm tryng to syncronise my phone with my work PC so that I can access my Outlook calender at home + put my Outlook contacts on my phone. I have instaled BlackBerry Desktop manager then I went to "syncronize" on the main menu. On the left had side there is a tab that says "syncronizatin" (i cliked on it). I then hit Synchronization. I have selected ALL the device applications i.e. calender, memo pad, address book and tasks then hit OK. I then get an error measage as follows:
"Synchronization is currently unavailable for: Address Book because the application(s) is (are) configured for wireless synchronization. Desktop synchronization for the above application(s) will be disabled. Please click on "Help" for information on how to disable wireless synchronization on your device."

Mar 29, 2012There is a bug between BIS and Office365 and Exchange Online that causes the email record ID to get corrupted when using IMAP to retrieve your mail. The cause is old email messages will be pushed out to your BlackBerry. Not sure it the problem is on RIM's side or Microsoft's side as other IMAP clients work with both products.New BlackBerry smartphone phones automatically connect to the IMAP service when setting up Internet email so there is no option to use POP.So the only reliable method to get email from Office365 or Exchange Online is to use the Outlook Web Access (OWA) service. Apr 20, 2010ive had my BB BOLD 9700 since 2 years and never had the need to link my office email to it till now so i tried to follow the setup
1- click setup
2- click setup email
3- click other
4- type my office email id and password
and its says success and i receive an email saying account activated and i will recieve emails in 20 mins BUT i can only SEND emails i CANNOTE RECIEVE any emails on my bold. when i check the settings its IMAP while my company server is on POP and on a different port.
if i try to edit my account i cannot change the IMAP to POP3.

Is there any way to "pause" the receiving of emails while I am in the office, and then I can manually start receiving emails again once I am not at my desk, short of deleting and installing the account every time?
BB Bold :: Microsoft 365 Not Syncing Contacts?
Feb 14, 2012We activated Microsoft 365 Enterprise activation, wiped our handheld and all services synch EXCEPT contacts. All contacts that were In Active Directory as well as contacts that were on the users' accounts migrated but when we add a new contact through Outlook it does not sync with the Blackberry and if we enter a contact on the handheld it does NOT sync back to the web mail client or Outlook. Calendar functions are syncing fine both from Outlook to he handheld and from the handheld back to Outlook.
