recently I can't find spanish accents during text messagings. There are french accent (à ) or other languages symbols such as Ö, but not spanish accents (á). I had them until a few weeks ago.
How can I reinstall spanish features?
I just upgraded my Bold 9900 with new OS7 but unfortunatelly, spanish lenguage dissapeared. how I can recover it? what should I download now?

It's not showing up like a proper conversation, just two titles (my name and the reciever's name) with all of our texts in order. This is really annoying, and I want it back to how it was - normal.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have sprint as a carrier and my phone doesnt receive text at all from at&t phones at times but mostly from iphones. this is my third blackberry that has had this problem, i for some apparent reason just cant receive any text that are coming from iphones and it just puzzles me why. i can however receive their picture text messages but anything text related i cannot.
Ive tried calling technical support and they help me through some stuff but ultimately i still couldnt receive them. i went into the store and exchanged it several times but it doesnt seem like it matter the same problem keeps on coming up.
I activated my new BB Bold 9700 yesterday and everything was fine until this morning. I plugged my device into my laptop to setup the BB Desktop software and when I unplugged it a short while later, I noticed I no longer had a text messaging icon on my homescreen, or in my tray. I can still recieve/send text messages, but I can't find my inbox anywhere.

All my contacts, messages, stuff from my gallery were all gone. There's no "inbox" in my messaging. No ovi. In my internet menu there's just home, browser and web services. EVERYTHING from my phone memory were gone and some of the phone's features too.

When I snap pictures, I always flip into landscape mode to view them.IT STINKS looking at the pictures in portrait mode.Two large black borders on top and bottom. I also discovered since the update, my phone can't read bar codes. Looking through the forums here, I noticed that it was happening when I had large numbers of saved texts, and I started deleting the threaded messages so that I was never over about 20-25 texts per person. That solved the problem for 2 weeks.Last week, I started deleting all text messages beyond 15 texts, total, and still I have the issue. I just had the phone freeze and refuse to allow me into the threaded portion of the text after just 3 texts (2 from my wife and 1 from me)!Does anyone else have this problem? This is what I did: I used FlashTool to downgrade my phone. Everything worked. Except now X reality doesn't work, the Sony sound enhancement doesn't work, the battery stamina feature doesn't work and the camera now takes photos worse looking than my 3DS.

So what happened? Did this "new" firmware rooted or unlocked the bootloader of my phone somehow? Is it possible for me to get the Sony exlusive features back?

For some reason I have lost my Text Messaging Icon. If I look in my Contacts - I am able to select a Contact and then hit Menu and am given the option of "Send a Text Message" - which works.When I receive a text message - the appropriate notification goes off (audible or vibrate), but, there is no indication in the status bar that there is a new text message. If I go into "Contacts" and look at the individual that sent the text message, I can see the conversation in their history. Obviously, with a ton of Contacts, even if I do happen to get the notification, it can be quite the task to figure out where its coming from. I assume that any texts that do not have an associated Contact are just simply gone.
I have an unusual issue I would like some assistance on since I just got a blackberry, I have the Curve 2 8530. I use Total Call Blocking with my carrier so that when I call anyone my number is automatically blocked / restricted. Therefore, in my contact list, I have my friends or family contacts listed with the *82 in front of the number to unblock for those people. This works fine for phone calls.
However, on Text Messaging / Picture Messaging, the *82 will cause these messages to fail. I am used to LG phones, you have the ability to edit the number while creating a message, before your send one of these messages. The problem I am having is when I send a Text Message / Picture Message it appears from the blackberry as only the 10 digit number (even though the contact has *82 in front of it)...and the message shows it is sent (with the check mark) but it NEVER received.
I had upgraded to the new version 5.0 bundle 1168 and since then have lost some of the features from the prious version 2. The password keeper vault had a lot of information and I want to retrieve it. I have the Blackberry desktop software and have back up of the old data.Is it possible to keep the new version however have the information from the password keeper loaded into it.

Once I transfer language from eng to other language with the keyboard shortcut (alt+enter ) the auto text stops working. Furthermore, the option box just disappears from the menu (options - text and languages ) !. Reset by battery removal fixes the problem.But, onces you repeat the above action the auto text complete disappears again...Some bug is there.... tried it with all 5 devices of my office.I contacted my provider- they were not aware of the problem and I demonstrated it to them. They dont know how to solve it...

The 2.3.4 version of camera application shoots better pictures than the updated camera application. Camera window opens and shows up the visuals as if they are zoomed in by default despite not using zoom in feature.I'm disappointed with this update of camera functions.

1) widget offline setting
2) automatic wifi enable when launching the browser, store or other internet app
3) bluetooth beep no longer present after turning off bluetooth
4) turning wifi on doesn't automatically pair with defined access point
5) task manager or open applications feature
6) automatic screen blanking while placing or receiving a call
7) wife connection drops but wifi radio stays on
8) touching battery icon indicates remaining power (same for other icons)
Another nit, apps that were previously downloaded when they were free, can no longer be downloaded without paying. Why does the upgrade remove your apps anyway?
I am interested in an export set for Ray selling $100 less than a warranty set but the sales man said there is no support for Chinese messaging input. $100 saving is very tempting, and Ray is not known for hardware problem.Seek expert advice from seasoned Android and Ray users - If Sony really did not preinstall Chinese as one of the list of languages to choose for messaging input, then is it easy to get it installed by updating to the latest software from Sony Ericsson website from my region? Or need to buy a messaging app for Chinese with the language built into the app from the Android Market? Or must root the device in order to re-install the OS used for this East Asian region?
