Oct 7, 2011I have a blackberry bold 9700 and my camera flash works once than it doesn't work anymore unless I reboot the phone than it works once and then it not working.

Dec 1, 2014I have an iPhone 6 and want to take a picture under low light conditions (of Christmas tree) but when I set the flash to "on" in the camera app it never flashes and the photos are very dark. Also tried Auto and that doesn't work either. How can I get my iPhone 6 to flash when I need it to or manually so I can lighten up my photos?

Aug 15, 2010Welp got the torch and love it, was using a captivate and an aria for about 3 weeks, neat toys but sucked as phones so back to bb I went.My convience key will let me program it for any other function other than the camera, it will work the first time after resetting it to the camera option, but won't work the shutter. After closing it out and pressing the button again from the home screen or any other I get nothing?

I'm not sure if it's a hardware or software issue, but whenever I press the button to take a picture, I end up with a short 2-3 second video instead. The setting for "hold camera button" is disabled, not det to photo bursts or video. The camera icon on screen works fine, but having a dedicated camera button was a huge game changer for me.

Oct 20, 2015I've been having issues with my rear camera on Nexus 5 (my front facing camera works fine). Currently the camera and the flash will not work and basically stopped working some time around the upgrade to lollipop. While on lollipop, I tried uninstalling the app updates, restarting, clearing the cache... Now, I'm currently running 6.0 and still the camera/flash are not working. Tonight I tried wiping the phone and reverting all the way back to kitkat 4.4.4 to see if that would fix it. I tried this multiple times, wiping and reflashing to various versions ranging from 4.4.0 to 6.0 to see if any would somehow fix the camera issue, but none worked.
At this point, I'm back on 6.0 and its still not working. My phone doesn't even show the default camera app in the app drawer. I have to access it through the shortcut on the lock screen and when I do I get the "Can't connect to the camera" message. I'm assuming its a hardware issue at this point. From what I can tell, the flash is not part of the camera module, so if the camera itself broke, it seems like the camera flash should still be recognized and functional (its not in my case, not even an option for the default flashlight on the taskbar pull-down screen). I am wondering if its worth buying an oem replacement camera module and installing it to see if this fixes the issues.

1) above the screen, there are two things, one of them is the camera , what is the other thing and what does it do?
2) behind the slider, ( the on that goes to music player and radio ) , there is a light that keeps flashing, there is no missed call or anything that would cause it to flash. It doesn't flash all the time, from time to time it starts to work. why does it flash?

Oct 7, 2011I have problem with my X6-00 16GB primary camera. When I turn camera on, screen stays black, only this focusing white box and other symbols are visible on screen. But no picture. When I push "take picture button", then focusing box starts blinking and stays like this, until camera goes standby mode. Secondary camera, in front of the phone is working fine. Also I have a Flashlight program (Brightlight v1.0) on my phone and it doesn't turn camera flash on, like it should be.
I gave my phone to friend who reset phone to the factory settings. After that camera worked for a while, but one day it was again black. I have done a couple of times software reinstall with nokia ovi suite on my computer. After that camera works couple of days or only couple of hours and then goes black again. Software version is the newest for that phone, v32.0.002.

Aug 3, 2010i upgraded to the bold 9900 4g recently. my old BB took great pictures, no matter what the lighting situation. but the 9900 only takes good photos in good light. the flash seems to be out of sync with the camera. the flash works -- it just doesn't seem to work in sync with the camera. could this be a software issue, or is it simply a mechanical/electronic issue?

I'm speaking 100% clear and coherent for it to understand me. It was working at first when I tried calling that one person. It asked me to confirm whether or not I wished to call home or his mobile, I chose mobile. Now anyone I try to call through the exact same voice command (hold button down 2 seconds to initialize voice sequence, then say call and person's name), it calls the same guy!

I noticed that when taking the picture the flash initially lights up white, but as the picture is taken the flash turns blue. Why in the world would it do this?
