May 9, 2010is there such a thing as RESTART IN SAFE MODE in our 9700? to trouble a boot up problem, would have been a nice feature in the OS.

Aug 21, 2012I have a problem with my Blackberry 9700 and it has a message of App Error 200. I try to reboot it to safe mode but it wouldn't work, I'm trying to delete third party application I used to download in the internet but my phone stop working. I try also to update the software but the problem is the memory is full, I cannot delete the applications to free the memory because the phone stop working and in the screen you will only see app error 200. My device model is Blackberry 9700 PIN: 21F447D0 OS:5.0 Bundle 726 (v5.0.0.442 Platform 5.1.0.121)

Oct 5, 2011I got this Blackberry 9900 on Orange two weeks ago. I went to bed and it was fine- woke up and it was switched off. I figured the batt was dead but when tried to switch it on it would fully boot but show the home screen. I security wiped yesterday because of a problem with App world. Now it only works in safe mode.

Mar 5, 2010I'm not sure whether this is a 9700 problem or a problem with Orange (UK) but it seems that every time I restart my BlackBerry, be it a battery pull or a restart from removing an app, my phone loses the ability to connect to UMA ("ISP or wireless network error"). The first time this happened I rang Orange and got them to reset my service and this seemed to do the trick since shortly after my UMA connected again.After installing and then removing App World and restarting my BlackBerry, it's gone again. Obviously I can't ring Orange support at all hours of the day and every time this happens.
Has anyone else had this problem? I'm totally stumped on this one..My Bold is running OS 5.0.0.351 (The latest version on Orange)I've tried numerous battery pulls, resetting the router, wiped my handset, re-sent service books, all the usual stuff.The wifi icon is white and NOT greyed out. All other wifi features are working except UMA.
BB Bold 9700 :: Phone Dropped Into A Cup Of Tea / Keep Booting After Restart
Aug 19, 2010About a week ago my bb was dropped into a cup of tea (which had sugar and milk in) and I quickly took out the battery and stuck it in a bowl of uncooked rice for a few days. It was working about 2 days ago, except the keyboard was sticky so I turned it off and got some isopropyl alcohol cleaner and followed some instructions on how to open it all up and clean it which I did.
Before I cleaned it, I turned it on and the loading screen came up, only it gets to about 5 or 10 percent then restarts itself which it then proceeds to do over and over. I have looked into this problem and it seems I need to reinstall the os, even though it wont stay on long enough to connect through usb? Is there anything else you guys think I should do? I have read somewhere to dip the whole phone into the alcohol then leave for a few days to dry?

Aug 9, 2010I have a bell blackberry bold 9700 unlocked. My provider is with rogers and I have purchased this phone about 5 months ago. About 2 - 3 times a day my bb 9700 screen will blank out and go completely white. I would have to do a battery pull and then my bb will restart and everything will be fine. I have wiped my phone, downgrade the software and upgrade it again. Still nothing is resolved with it blanking out 2 - 3 times a day.

Sep 6, 2012Xperia Z5 won't load into safe mode. Tried connecting through the micro USB cable, while holding down the power off button, and up volume key, it vibrates 3 times, but does nothing.

Dec 29, 2014I am using Z3 Dual and yesterday I was with friends for a picninc and while using the video mode it was showing the message that the camera temperature is going high and will shut down automatically. My main concern is not that, I used the phone in water (maximum 30 -50 cm depth) for 2-3 times and after that my sim both card was not working ( was not showing the signal bars) and friends tried to call me and came switch off. Then I restarted the mobile then the sim card start working and the mobile was on Safe Mode. I tried to restart the mobile many times and still the problem exixts. Then I tried one option which I found in the web, i pressed the power buttern and when the vibration comes I pressed the vlume up button. I tried this option for severeal times, but the mobile is still in Safe Mode.

I didn't make any changes to the phone so very strange. The behaviour is that when I take the battery out and it turns on, the load screen start but the little white line only starts a little (2mm line) and then it restarts and does the same thing and loop over and over again in this till battery runs out.
