BB Bold 9700 :: Dust (lint) Trapped In Gap Between Screen And Top Of Phone
Feb 1, 2010
I carried the phone in my pocket without my leather pouch, and small white partticles (dust) got into the gap between the gap (between the top of screen and below the blackberry sign). It llooks horrible to see white dots in that gap. I tried removing it by nails and blowing on it but had no luck.
is there a way to remove the dust under the screen for blackberry bold 9700? i've viewed the Internet video on how to dismantle the blackberry bold 9700, but noticed that the screen is still attached to the lcd screen...
NOKIA X6. Within 2 weeks of purchase I found that there is a manufacturing defect in the phone and because of that defect my phone is getting dust every day inside the phone and on the TFT screen, being a touch screen phone dust hinders in touch screen operations. I went to Nokia care on 27.06.2010 and asked for the replacement and they told me let us check the phone we will forward your request to our Bangalore office, so kindly wait for 10 days. But yesterday I got my phone back in the very same condition even I am sure it's not even been transferred to the concern department for check and rectification because the dust on the screen was as it is.
i have some dust under my bb screen but im not able to get to it. im guessing its sitting right on top of the actual LCD and the "screen protector" is lying on top of it. i cant get to it, ive looked up some vids and threads but none of them show how to clean a bold.
When I use the "Manage Connections" screen to turn on/of wi-fi or mobile network connection, the smart phone's screen get frozen and then a compulsive restart is performed.
So yesterday my phone got cut off (forgot to make a payment. Sue me). I called ATT, made the payment and got the phone up and running. Problem was, my blackberry browser, ubertwitter and Facebook didn't work. But for some reason my opera mini did work. I called ATT and they did whatever it is they do and my phone worked again. This morning my phone froze. It stayed on the main screen and didn't do anything else. I did a battery pull and got the same thing. Now I can't even do a wipe because the phone stops responding when it gets to the main screen and my desktop manager doesn't recognize the phone when I plug it in. Can anyone help? I'm starting to wish I had just bought a damned iPhone.
Is there an option to change the amount of icons that appear on your home screen on the BB Bold? I have one row of six icons on the home screen, and would like to add another row of favorite icons to my home screen.
Does anyone know how to change the default setting for the locked screen? Right now when I press key lock, my wallpaper shows for a few seconds, but then it switches to the big clock. How to I get it to stay on my wallpaper and not show the clock? I just upgraded from My curve 8300 to the Bold 9700 and the only thing I hate about it is the big clock that shows up when I lock the screen.
I recently upgraded to a bold through Orange (UK Network Provider), phone has been great so far, I have had it for a week. However, I made a call and came back to my phone to find a blank screen and the red light flashing/staying constant intermittently. The phone does not turn on, I have tried taking battery out, sim out, memory card out, attaching it to my computer (which it does not recognize as it needs to be on) charging it etc. I have tried that alt, cap and del reset mechanism too.
Orange told me I will have to send it off this week, but does anyone know any quick fix to turn it on? I have all my contacts on there, stupidly I did not back it up.
I have recently notice a small red icon next to the carrier (Orange) name at the top of my 9700's home screen. On close examination it appears to be a house icon. I can't find reference to it in any of the booklets or by Googling. (I've also noticed that when I'm in the office it goes white).
My phone got some water on it and was working fine until it just randomly shut off and refuses to turn on now. I got it to start up to a grey/white screen and a battery with a charging symbol in the middle. If I can get back to the screen is there anything I can do for my phone?
Lately, I've found out that dust has developed under my screen, it shows mostly in the sun. It's kinda annoying that you can't get rid of it, I used to think it was on my screen, but when I tried to wipe it off it won't go - that means it's under the screen. I heard you could get your Xperia changed in the first few weeks if that happens, but it's been 4 months since I bought it - I mean who would develop dust under his screen in the first few weeks?
Is there a way to get the dust from behind the screen on the Chocolate 3? I know a few phones you can pop the screen cover off, but I wasn't sure if you could with the Chocolate 3. Anyone else have this problem?
On my screen I have a white shaded dot. Its under the glass because it cant be wipped off or seen on an angle.
Its only 2 mm across. It cant be seen with a black screen but you can see it on a white background like the google home page.So I dont think its a pixal problem. I dont see dust on the edges or any where else other then this white dot.Is it dust or something else?
Is there a safe way to open the BB 8330 Curve to remove dust from under the screen. I have learned that the 8330 is not air tight. its annoying looking at the screen, and seening little particles under the screen.
I cracked my 3G screen last week. It was my first time dropping since buying it on day one. I had it in my lap (which i normally never do) while driving and it fell flat on its face when i was getting out. I've already ordered a replacement glass and digitizer since the phone still works perfectly. My problem is that I can now see dust specks accumulating under the glass. What's the safest way to clean the LCD when I'm taking it apart?
So I think by way of the charger opening I have dust under the screen how do you get rid of it? I was going to use the computer cleaner air though the charger port but was worried.
Although there are more topics about this subject, I've got a specific question about this problem. Recently, I bought an iPhone 4S via the online Apple Store. A couple of days ago, I noticed that there is dust under the screen of the iPhone. The dust is in the middle of the screen and not that large (circa 2mm), but notable and annoying. I contacted Apple and they came with the following options: Send iPhone to repair (lasts 9-17 days);Exchange the iPhone for a new one, costs 29 euros.
If it appears that the dust comes from outside and not from the factory, I'd have to pay 250 euros in both cases. In view of the fact that I cope well with the iPhone - I always use an iPhone case to protect it and I've never had it in my pocket without the case - it seems to be illogical that the dust is my 'fault'. The inside of the case is made of leather, which doesn't correspond to the dust under the screen. However, I'm not completely sure that the dust comes from the factory, since I noticed it just a couple of days ago.
My question: is it wise to exchange or repair the iPhone, since it creates a large risk? I don't want to pay 250 or 280 euros more, this is 'required' if I decide to exchange or repair it and if Apple can prove that the dust doesn't come from the factory.
I just got a nokia C7 in July ...but now from january i am observing dust under screen...now in feb it has become worst and about 10-15 big particles are there ....so what should i doIs it Covered Under Warranty??If yes then where should i Take itTo nokia CenterOr to United MObile outlet as i have a united mobile warranty..
I have the E72-1 and I'm very happy with the phone. Using 022.007 today and I would recommend this phone to a friend.I have had a few known problems:pictures missing form the gallerythe D-pad fails intermittentlyNo indication when the charge is donebattery cover is a joke. Bad fit and to thin but overall the phone has worked very well. But now I have another problem that is more annoying. It looks like there is dirt/dust *under* the screen - I have checked the screen and there are no marks on the screen surface. I have used the case that comes with the phone from day one but that has not helped. How many here has seen this ? or am I the only one.I can see the dust/dirt clearly when the screen saver is running, it is very annoying.
