I apologize if this has already been covered elsewhere, but is there any setting somewhere that will keep the Red Star notification on until the particular email/sms itself is opened (rather than just opening the email/sms folder)?I'd like to have the Red Star stay on even after I check the folder, until I open the actual email/sms itself.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI just upgrades from a Curve 8330 to a Bold 9650 on Sprint an am not getting voicemail notifications. On the Curve they showed up in the SMS/MMS app and, more importantly, sounded a notification when a message was received. On the Bold there is no notification, only the number on the main screen incrementing by one.I get SMS messages on the Bold with the number (unchanged), but nothing for vm's. A search turned up the same problem posted in many other places, but never a solution.Surely voicemail notification didn't go away with OS5.

So basically... I see the envelope at the top of the screen, I see a number (2) but when I try to see what the notification is... it says "You currently have no notifications".
View 4 Replies View RelatedWe have a user who is having issues with email notifications. They utilize over 50 subfolders. The issue is that they do not want to have to go through all 50 folders trying to figgure out which ones have new email in them. Is there a menu option on the phone to show which folders have new email? Verizon support was no help, and the articles I saw here didnt seem to address this issue.

View 10 Replies View RelatedOK, after some investigation I found out all about changing sounds: email notifications, phone calls, SMS, etc. etc. But I've discovered that my SMS sound will not change. Phone sounds, email notifications, pretty much everything else sticks with no problem.
But SMS notifications WILL NOT change from. . .Sanguine, is it? I mean I can go into the profile edit section and PHYSICALLY change it with the drop down menus, and when I go back there the selection is as I left it, but no matter what that drop down menu has saved, the SAME sound plays for SMS notifications.
It might be worth mentioning that I briefly tried SMSCrunch, and the sound for SMS notification there was Gung **, which I liked and wanted to keep after I uninstalled SMSCrunch. Now, Gung ** will play as a preview when editing, but again, the only sound I get for SMS notifications is Sanguine.

View 9 Replies View RelatedYesterday I updated to 5.1.1. I use handcent and now when I get a text message it shows the normal icon as it is coming through, but then it just goes to a star icon. If I pull down the menu, it shows the normal icon. After doing some research I found something that says it is interruption mode, but my phone does not have anything in settings or by pressing the volume button doesn't give those options either. How to remove the star icon? I have different icons set up for different people and I would like to be able to look at the notification bar to see who it is from without having to swipe down.

The cursor switches appropriately when just navigating vs. hovering over a link, but the track pad will not regist any "clicks".Has anyone encountered this or know of the fix?
View 8 Replies View Relatedno matter what settings I use on the 9650 "Memory" settings. I cann't get any computer (Windows 7 or XP Pro) to recognize the device as "mass storage device" so I can access the memory card. There is plenty of items on the card, and I can access them fro mthe decive, but the computer won't "find" it. This is with DM 5.0 and 4.7, on windows XP Pro and Windows 7.

View 13 Replies View RelatedI purchased the 9650 bold a few weeks ago. I do not do a lot of texting, but when I do, the texts are pretty long. On my old BB I hit the back arrow key and it saved to draft, (i would often have 4-5 texts in draft before I sent all out) If im not mistaken you cant do this on the new 9650?? Do I need to get an application to assist with this? ANy suggestions? Sorry if this is a rookie question but...Im a rookie when it comes to these phones.
View 11 Replies View RelatedWhen I upgraded my 9630 to my new bold 9650 I had a 16gb micro sd card in the 9630. I copied all of the files from my card to my computer, put the 16gb card in my 9650 and formatted the card. I then copied all of the files from my computer back to the sd card and put the card back in the 9650. All seems to be ok, I have my pictures etc. When I go to connect my BB 9650 to my computer I get a message on the BB that says: "Content rights do not match this device. Please insert the media card back to the right device." this only happens if I have the memory option set to "Auto enable mass storage mode storage set to NO" Any ideas?

Is anyone else having trouble using the "Vibrate in Holster" setting? My 8330 would automatically switch to vibrate when I put it in my holster that has the magnetic closure. My 9650 fits in the same holster but doesn't seem to switch to vibrate even though I have that setting chosen under my sounds profiles.

BTW: I have SocialScope on my Storm2 will it be an easy transfer to my Bold 9650?
I bought the Bold 9900 - it has the enhanced gMail plugin preinstalled - which I havent used since BBOS 5. The option to archive, report spam etc are all there - all except add star.

I usually sleep with my Bold in bed with me (who doesn't) lol, and have been waken up many times to a sizzling hot phone. like burning up hot. I put it on the nightstand and seems to cool down. but I always slept with my tour laying next to me in bed, and it never got that hot. Please let me know, or test this theory tonight Just want to make sure it is not a bad phone or battery. thanks for your time.
Not being weird its my alarm clock and i don't have a nightstand on my side of the bed and I sure as heck am not leaving it on the nightstand with my wife's bold. mine needs comfort lol. Also i realize this may have been posted before, but i am more looking for 9650 specific threads. and more charging specific threads as well.
Is the keyboard on the 9650 exactly the same as the 9630? Or is it the same as the keyboard on the 9700? The keyboard on the 9700 is much nicer in my opinion to that of the 9630 as its a little wider it seems and keys seem a touch bigger.
