Mar 21, 2010My Bold showed me JVM error 101 with a white screen and then nothing, I have tried to repair it without success, is there anything I can do to revive it?

Mar 6, 2010i have a black berry 9000 showing me App Error 523 on white screen. When ever I try to restart my phone it shows this error. And I cant even connect my phone to my computer. When ever I connect my phone to my computer it shows connecting and even if I check it up after 6 hours it shows connecting. So i am not even able to connect my phone to the computer so that i can install the new software. An its even showing reset below the error but when ever i press the phone gets re- started and it again shows the same error.

Jul 23, 2010A few weeks ago, my Blackberry got an error 507 screen overnight and I had to wipe the device. I am currently using the latest release of 5.0 and last night my phone was working fine. When I woke up this morning, my screen had the "App error 205" message on it. That is two failures in one month now and I have to go to work in a few minutes so I won't even have time to wipe my device to at least have a working phone for the day. Does anyone have an idea why this junk keeps happening?

Jan 31, 2010I have a blackberry bold 9000 that I'm using with at&t on a go phone plan. I have to take the battery out at night to charge because the usb charging port is broken, and when I put it back in the following morning I get the following error message: "Supplementary Service Error: General Error. Along with getting the error, I'm being charged anywhere form $0.60 to $1.10 each morning. I've tried restoring the phone and deleting all the third party applications. I was hoping someone could solve this problem for me.And one other thing, it just started doing this. I've had the phone for about four months, and I just recently started getting the error.

Aug 25, 2010I've bought a unbranded Bold 9000 (made in Canada) a couple of days ago and after setting up everything okay (.822 OS included) and using WiFi nicely I suddenly got the wifi connection dead error

- several 5 min+ battery pulls
- reinstalling the OS
- delete apps

Jan 26, 2010I am using Vista Ultimate and am trying to use the Media Manager section of the Desktop Manager.
But I am getting an error message as follows;
Runtime Error!
Program...MobileBlacberry.....MediaManager9.exe
This application has requestd the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application support team for more information.
Which I did and got an automated email telling me basically they won't help unless I am a paying customer.

Mar 8, 2010I removed my media card, transferred some pics to my computer, then re-inserted my media card. Have done this dozens of times, but this time when I re-inserted the media card I got a message saying "Media card inserted contains errors please use a disk error-checking utility on a computer." I have no idea what this means.

Jul 28, 2010I tried plugging it into a wall charger for a day, i tried leaving it unplugged for a day, i tried leaving it plugged into the wall without the battery in for a day. I do not think it is the battery or charging related. Oh, and i have 2 batteries, neither let it boot.
So, i tried all the suggestions about App loader. The PIN is not recognized UNLESS, i plug it in without a battery (after i see the charging icon with red X on the screen). If i try to continue, nothing happens until i put in the battery, which immediately removes my PIN to PIN Unknown or whatever. So, it will continue and loader will freeze at step 2, device initialization.
Anyone had this exact issue or know how to get passed this point?
For reference, i never dropped it or damaged it. Actually i haven;t been using this phone, i decided to update it, all went well. Took the battery out and left it for a couple weeks. Went back to use it and this is what i got. Oh, and I tried JL_CMNDR and nothing happens.
Like i said, no error screen, i get a red LED, it attempts to boot up, but it barely moves and then I get black screen and red LED again and it just loops this process.
* I do have the extra ATT Insurance. However, I've had it for 1.5 years and it has been externally modded to ****. I could easily change it back to stock parts, but the "sticker" is gone. 1. Would ATT let me exchange it? 2. Does it have all my info on it?

Jan 2, 2012My bb displays this error at startup. Error JVM 102. I tried to fix it with the javaloader.exe program (displaying logs, removing bad modules) but without success. The last log lines are :

Feb 1, 2010I know there is no way in contacting blackberry support without paying with money i dont have.. But am hoping that some blackberry profesionals actualy go on the forums sometimes.Firstly is there anyway to contact someone who really knows something about the device. correct me if im wrong but if we could talk to the people who made the device they would for sure know exactly wat is wrong with the device and be a huge help.

BB Bold 9000 :: Why Cant Rim Develop A Bold 9xxx With The Body Of Bold 9000
Jan 23, 2010Why can't RIM develop a Bold 9xxx with the body of the Bold 9000 with larger memory, Trackpad, better camera? They've done it with the Tour and Curve. Plus they've got all the parts available already, just need a little engineering to fit the trackpad and everything else. C'mon RIM. We know you can do it. I'm sure you'd sell millions of them.

Apr 6, 2010Just upgraded to 5.0..592 yesterday. During the upgrade I backed up my data. The restore went wrong. I have hundreds of messages marked as new, but I cannot find them. The new message indicator shows over 600 messages as new, and that is not possible. When I started the upgrade I had 8 new messages. For example, I have a message I sent to a friend. Our SMS exchange was 4 messages, now it is hundreds of my reply. I presume the error on restore is the problem.
How can I clear this? Do I need to wipe the device and start over? It's no biggie if I have to wipe. Just wondering if I can delete the backup file and possibly the messages file/database on the BlackBerry.If it matters, it is an ATT Bold 9000.

I need this for work and so I will be forking some dough out of my pocket to get one of the two following phones: Bold 9000 (I'll pay 100$ Canadian, not Us) Curve 8530 (pay 24.99$ Canadian). I am very used to the Iphone and HTC Touch Pro 2 (not trying to start a flaming/argument/anything else , its just what i'm used to). I am very used to browsing with the other phones and I have heard that BB phones are not up to par, so my expectations will be low. Out of the two phones however, does one perform better than the other (Curve 8530 vs Bold 9000)? Out of the two phones, which one do you recommend overall. I have read that the Bold 9000 even though it is older, it still outperforms the 8530...

Aug 30, 2010I dropped my BlackBerry Bold 9000 on the weekend and damaged the LCD screen. The device still works, but two thirds of the LCD is now white and there's what looks like an inkblot on the left side of the screen. I'd like to try to fix it, but don't really want to shell out a lot of $ to do so --- I'm a month away from upgrading.Does anyone have any suggestions, or perhaps a dead BlackBerry with a working screen that you're willing to part with? A DIY repair -- this is out of warranty anyway -- looks straightforward, but I'm not sure I want to spend the $100 or so for a new OEM part to replace the LCD screen.

Aug 26, 2010I needed to clear the IT policy from my BB Bold. I followed the instructions:
- backup
- wipe handheld
- replace policy.bin file
- restore
The phone works just fine. The policy appears to be gone, and I can set the security options as I want. However, when I start my Blackberry Desktop, I get an error saying "error reading policy file. Please contact your Administrator". Any idea what the issue is and how to correct it?

The Problem:
Sometime in the past couple of days I stopped receiving SMS text messages properly. Though I was able to send and receive text messages as recently as Monday (the 1st, and this writing is on the 3rd of February) I find I am unable to receive them at present. This problem is complicated by a few tests I have done. With my phone right in front of me and another phone in my hand, I have sent a text message to my phone (from the other phone) and witnessed my phone make the loading sign in the upper right-hand corner (the little double-arrow that pops up when one is receiving data). No new message appears in my joint inbox and no "new message" icon pops up on my home screen. When I try to select the SMS inbox folder in the 'Select Folder' option in the menu in my messaging application, absolutely nothing happens.
I am also encountering oddities when I send SMS messages - though I am able to send them. When I complete an SMS text message and select 'Send', the message, though it is sending, may sometimes stay up on the screen as though I did not send it. When I select 'Send' again, it does disappear from the screen but does not display it sending in my inbox (it normally shows the message as sending, it receives a checkmark when sent, and then it disappears; as I set it up to). I can, however, access the SMS Outbox folder.
Finally, though I think this is unrelated, when my phone starts up from having the battery removed - which I did try - I receive a message stating "Uncaught exception:java.lang.NullPointerException". The first time I received this message was upon waking up one morning, as though it had occurred sometime during the night, and I dismissed it as unimportant as it did not seem to mess with the functioning of my Blackberry.
I do not have any backups to restore my phone to, as I just updated my computer to Windows 7 and cleared the majority of the hard drive in doing so. Also, I just, today, updated my phone to the latest version of all my applications.
