IPhone 5c :: Why ITunes Match Automatically Add Songs / Unable To Delete
Jun 26, 2014
iTunes has really messed things up on my iPhone, it useful but it keep adding songs automatically onto my phone and I'm not able to delete them off my phone
I would like to remove unwanted songs from my iphone that were previously synced from itunes playlists, but do not seem to be removed when the playlist is removed from the Music sync list.
I have tried syncing my phone to my computer before but it deleted any song and playlist that wasn't in the iTunes on my computer. I sometimes will buy a song on my phone and I don't want to have to look up every song I have bought on my phone to go through and download it on my computer. Also I would like to not have to recreate playlist on my computer.
My iPhone has 521 songs on it. About an hour ago, I decided to plug my iphone into my iMac to sync my songs onto it. It put 343 songs onto the computer, not syncing all of my 521 songs. I've tried "Sync" AND "Transfer purchases from ipod" however nothing seems to work.
I have an iPhone 4 32GB on AT&T. I have about 20,000 songs in my iTunes Match library. iTunes Match was extremely slow for iOS 5 and 5.0.1 and it has significantly improved in iOS 5.1. However, it's still laggy a lot of the time. Much better than before (where it would freeze for 10-20 seconds at a time), but there's still a delay of 1-4 seconds when I press on a navigation button sometimes. I also still get my share of Music app crashes.
Just wondering if there are other suggestions, and mostly wondering if Apple continues to work on efficiency enhancements (including for the 4 not just the 4S).
I have iTunes Match on my on my computer but not on my iPhone(it cant be enabled). When I sync music, I do it by playlists. All the music syncs but not the actual playlist? I have tried taking the playlists out of iCloud by adding a video clip but to no avail.
I wasn't sure if I should post this under iPhone or iTunes so forgive me if this is in the wrong place. Basically, there are discrepancies between my iTunes library and what's on my iPhone. Yes, everything is checked and I know how to sync. I also understand all the nuances of artist names, genres, etc. It appears that all of the music is there, but it doesn't all show up when sorting my artist, song or album. Here are 2 examples:
I have 2 Amy Winehouse records in my iTunes library; Back to Black and Lioness. Both records are also on my iPhone. However, when I pull the list of records by ARTIST only Lioness shows up. To find Back to Black, I have to sort by ALBUM and then I can find it. I have 4 Norah Jones records in my library; Come Away with Me, The Fall, Little Broken Hearts and Not Too Late. All records are also on my iPhone. However, when I sort by ARTIST only 3 of the records appear (the Fall is missing). If I sort by ALBUM, it is there.
These are 2 examples, but there are several more. This is very annoying because I can't always remember the name of records but I do remember the artist, of course. I have tried re-syncing. I have looked very carefully at the artist name to make sure they all appear EXACTLY the same...they do. No spaces, nothing.
The past few months I've gotten warnings from AT&T that I was near or exceeding my data plan limits when I never did before. After a lot of testing it seems that on my iPhone, iTunes Match still downloads data—megabytes worth—even if I have the "download over 3g" setting turned off. I've had to turn off iTunes Match on my iPhone totally and rely on "old-fashioned" syncing unless I want to upgrade to the bigger data plans, which I'm not going to do. Sigh! Anyone else notice this? The behavior persists over several erase-and-restores of the phone.
I have an iPhone 4S wi iOS 5.1 installed and I can't view the option to enqble iTunes Match under the Music menu. I have subscribed to the service and it works fine on my iPad.
I have an itunes match account which is currently uploading. It says that I can access the music by switching the on button in settings. I have two accounts with apple and have switched over to one and I think the phone is set for the account that does not have itunes match. Any ideas on how to rectify this so I can access my icloud library via itunes match.
I was wondering if anyone has a solution to this...I was having issues initially with my iPhone not recognizing that I had iTunes match enabled, so I re-enabled it on my Mac. When I went to enable it under Settings->Music, it allowed me to switch on "Enable iTunes Match", but then the option immidiately disappeared (See screenshot). iTunes Match is currently not running on my phone and I cannot get the option to enable/disable it to populate whatsoever. I've tried soft reseting multiple times (Holding down the home+power button for 10 seconds) with no avail.
My iPhone 4S needs ages to download a song from iTunes Match... i have a fast wirelesslan connection!may the problem is that my pc still upload songs to iCloud?
I drop my phone so I got a new one and back up everything. Well now I have pics on my phone that I dont want and I cant delete them. I tired hooking up to iTunes but still cant delete certain ones. I can send them or post but nothing to delete them.
Whenever I try to sync my playlists onto my MotoACTV from Itunes only half of the songs make it. I received a message stating that "662 files are protected" so they did copy over. How do I unprotect those songs? I have looked in Itunes and cannot find out how.
I downloaded some of my old CD's to itunes and I've noticed that the songs are not downloading to my iphone, even when I go to my phone and music and check the box. I've sync'd like 5 times and nothing.
I've also noticed that some of my CD's that I've downloaded are listed under my other music but its not available to checkmark the box under my music.
I have no idea what's going on. Is is a PC issue? Is it an itunes issue?
I recently had to reimport my music library into my iTunes system. The music is a combination of iTunes purchases and music from my cds. I thought after importing a new catalog of music, my iPhone would initially wipe itself clean and then establish itself against the new library contents. All kinds of problems, playlists appear in my browser but not on the phone, and other things.
I have tried on the phone with support a number of changes to the settings for sync and none remove all the music content on the iphone so I can start from scratch.
How do I delete all the music content on the phone?
