IPhone 5 :: IOS 7.1 / Most Of Contacts Gone - Cloud Not Showing These Either
Jun 1, 2014
Yesterday i lost most of my contacts in my phone. I logged onto the cloud today, they weren't there either. I've tried a few online tricks like turning on and off contacts in settings and selecting "back up contacts to phone" no luck.
I'm trying to backup my I-phone contacts and calendar to the "Cloud"I use Outlook on a PC and my phone has all the relevant data; however, when I log into www.icloud.com and my account, there are no addresses or calendar listings? I thought my phone was backing all this data up to the Cloud on a daily basis, what am I doing wrong? What is the procedure for getting the calendar and contact information from my phone to the cloud?
I am doing a factory reset on DH's phone since Lolliflop wormed it's way into his life and he's not a happy camper. Using Verizon Cloud, his messages and call history have successfully been backed up but he gets a notification that cloud contacts backup has failed. And in the Cloud app it's self, there is always a "update pending" next to his 121 contacts. If I force it to back up, it backs up messages and call history but won't back up contacts. What to do about this?
My HTC One M8 allows me to have google contacts as well as a local address book on the phone that never get sent back to google. I have about 1500 contacts with detailed info that I do not want to go back to google.I just got a new 2014 Moto X which immediately upgraded itself to Lollipop and when I go into the contacts app, it wants to load anything imported back UP to google. There doesn't seem to be any local address book. I don't know if this is just a Moto X problem or a general lollipop one? My HTC One M8 does not have lollipop.I need to be able to have some contacts sync into my gmail account and others to not be associated with it.
when I slide my iphone 4s screen to the left beyond the first available screen to access my contacts,no contacts are viewable regardless of my search. If I access contacts through the CONTACTS button I can see them all. Likewise Siri can access them too.
New iPhone 4 today.Synced with computer and updated software to IOS 5.1. All standard apps are there except Contacts.Since the phone is new I ran a restore, but still no Contacts on reboot.
how to know that who is calling me this is becase everytime someone calls me from the number which is not saved in my contacts is showed as unknown number and the number cannot be viewed.
When I select "contacts" from the home screen or from the phone menus, it says there are no contacts. All of my contacts were there an hour ago, and when I receive a call, my phone displays the name that I assigned in contacts. Where did the contacts go, and why can't I see them?Â
I've had this iPhone 5 for a year and a half, and this is the first time I have experienced this issue. Â
I have just upgraded my MacBook Pro (Lion) to the Cloud but I haven't received the upgrade message on my iPhone (an old iPhone 3). What can I do to connect my iPhone to the Cloud?
I upgraded to a new phone and switched from Att to Vz. My contacts synced successfully, though when I recieve calls or text messages the number displays, not the contact name.
Upon Sync of contacts ( Outlook ) with iTunes, I see duplicate contacts being created and it is listed as Share contact.I see multiple contacts like this in my "From My PC" and "iCloud". Please help resolve this problem and how to avoid these duplicate contacts?
When I attempt to back it up (locking it, making sure it's connected to WiFi, and plugging it into my laptop or the wall), it says something like "9 hours to complete backup," and doesn't complete the back up. What's going on? It's never had this issue before. Granted, it is a refurb (3rd one) that has carried with it the software issues of my original 4s (exceedingly annoying; it has all sorts of little annoying issues), but it has never continuously failed to back up.
I have a iphone 3GS and a iMac G5 running Tiger OS - how can I get a cloud and update the software? I can't afford to be buying new hardware and it would seem that my iphone is capable of creating and using a cloud. I have some music on the iMac but iTunes won't update to the new software (beyond version 9?) and hence I can't update the iPhone to the latest software.
iphone 4s ios 6 has too much old data stored on the cloud and cannot get ios 7 or back up don't know how to get it off, I have an Macbook my husband gave me he is no longer using.
I gave my old phone to someone in another country but forgot to erase it first. Following the online directions I went into the cloud and initiated erase.
It said 11% complete. Then shortly after that it just said erase initiated - How do you know when it is fully erased?
Is there a prompt or something? Is there a general time it takes to fully erase it?
