I have an iPhone 4S and it keeps rebooting. I have tried to restore and it goes through the process partially but won't restore. I have put it in DFU mode and when it goes to restart, it keeps rebooting and eventually get a 4014 error message. its at the 7.1.2 firmware.
I am using iPhone 4. Suddenly its not working. I don't know why. But if I connect to the charger its open but its showing me connect to the iTunes and if I disconnect the charger my iPhone is off. Its rebooting again and again when i try to restore it.
i tried to update my curve but now it keeps rebooting and then saying linking java and the rebooting again. i tried to connect it to blackberry desktop software but i cant because it keeps rebooting.
I switched iphones today with a friend of mine. I made sure that I had backed up everything to my computer AND iCloud before doing the trade. Did it, everything set up fine. Restored through iTunes and then turned on. I still had my email, texts, call logs, contacts and notes. But all my apps and songs are gone. How do i get them back?
I'm planning to restore my iPhone while updating to iOS 4 since I've bee using the same old backup for 3 years or so now, installed a bunch of thing etc... so I want to start from scratch.
The only thing I don't want to lose are my SMS.I also don't want to jailbreak my iPhone. What are the solution to backup only my SMS (so not regular iTunes backup) and then restore that only to my freshly installed iOS4?
I inadvertently backed up my iPod Touch 3G which ended up being a blessing because it actually died due to water damage. When I get my new iP4 I want to restore from that iPod Touch backup because it has many apps I use for studying including the settings which I definitely need. Is there a way to restore just the apps? How would/could I restore at least the one app with data that I really need?
I finally updated my iPhone to 5.1. I waited so long because of the fiasco updating my iPod Touch when 5.0 first came out. I thought it worked, I was pleased Apple worked out the bugs. Lo and behold, all of my apps and folders disappeared before my eyes. No problem I thought, I did a back up. Restore from back up. Fifteen minutes later, it looks exactly the same. Isn't a backup supposed to be of everything on the system so that if something goes wrong, you just revert back to the back up and either try again or wait for the process to be fixed? Seriously, get your stuff together.
if I restore factory setting to my iPhone, is it still possible to restore the backup from itune/ icloud to get the purchased apps and other informations?
I cant get my iphone to turn on, I tried to restore it and it told me they couldn't restore it, is it junk or is there something that can get it to work?
I have been using my iPhone 4 as an iPod for a while because I'm waiting for AT&T to unlock it. I wanted to restore my phone to backup in my computer, but the restore button only restored my phone to factory settings, and it now tells me to activate the phone but I don't have the original SIM. Is there a way to restore to backup without activating the phone?
stats: jailbroken iphone 3G at 3.1.2 or 3.1.3 (cant remember).my iBroken went into a vicious reboot cycle recently, constantly showing the white apple logo, until the battery was drained completely. I finally got it into restore mode (display: cable& itunes) connected it to itunes and tried to restore it. The process froze somewhere 3/4 to finish. Then ya know I googled around, downloaded pwnage tool, created a custom ipsw out of the iphone 3.0 ios 4 ipsw, selected it in itunes and tried to restore with that. Again it froze and the bar stopped just before completion.Does anyone know how to treat this one? update: I have also tried reinstalling itunes, etc, etc. Update-2: sorry typo. I meant that i have an iphone 3G not iphone 4 Update-3: FIXED. Booted Windows xp via bootcamp, installed itunes, restored using custom ipsw.
The iPhone 4S keeps rebooting and is unusable. The reboot begins, and then restarts before the phone fully reboots. I have tried to connect to my computer to backup and perform a full restore but the phone disconnects from iTunes each time the reboot starts.
I just restored my iphone 4s, iTunes said everyhting was succesful, I saw the progress bar and it went all the way through. But now my iphone keeps on showing the apple logo with a progress bar that hasn't moved an inch and keeps on rebooting.
Ok, I recently replaced my back and since than, it's been turning off and on. Putting it off and thinking I didn't need to restore it at the time and now I have restored and Itunes said to keep it plugged into the computer with the USB, but It still hasn't rebooted. I have tried the power button and the home button trick.
My iPhone 5 was having some problems with my earphones so I decided to just turn it off and back on quickly, thinking maybe that will fix it. Instead of turning back on it just kept restarting from the start again over and over again at the apple logo. My computer recognizes the phone from time to time but iTunes only gives me an error and nothing more. Only in the restore mode will iTunes connect with it. I have tried restoring it back to default many times, but everytime I get the 9006 error.
so i recently installed and removed multifl0w. so not everytime i try to use unlimvideo with backgrounder and insomniapro it keeps rebooting/respring and gets stuck at the apple symbol. i have no idea why it is doing this. it worked fine last night, i downloaded 3 movies over night and worked like a charm.
I have a 3GS that I got a few years ago. Recently, the pixels turn to black, fade, and the phone crashes. Then it reboots. I'm on 5.1, and I looked it up. Some people are having battery problems, but my battery is what it was before the phone crashed. Do I need to get a new phone now?
Whenever I try to shut off and restart my IPhone it stays on the apple logo start up screen for about 5 minutes then goes to the screen to slide to unlock and freezes so I cannot unlock the phone. Then after about 3 minutes it goes to a black screen with the round waiting symbol on it, then back to the slide to unlock screen again, then black waiting screen, then it reboots itself again and starts the process over. The first time this happened it went through the cycle 3 times. The next time I waited 2 hours and for it to work and finally went into itunes to restore it. I try holding down home and on/off buttons and it reboots it again, but nothing happens. So today my phone just restarted on its own when I was in Safari and after about 20 minutes I took it to the Verizon store to see what they can do about it. First they said to contact Apple support, then a guy held down the home and on/off button and then it unfroze. I told him I already tried that 2 or 3 times today since this problem started, but he didn't care because he was too mad he missed out on a sale to "help" me. So the phone works now, but I know if I just try to restart it again the phone will just go through the rebooting problem all over again. I have not dropped the phone and I thought restoring the phone would fix it if it was a software glitch, so I'm thinking it may be a hardware issue so what should I do if Verizon does not want to help me? I've had it less than a year so I would like to get it fixed before the warrently runs out.
Every time I try to shut down my iphone, (Slide to to Power Off), it shuts down, but keeps rebooting. (Unless it is connected via USB cord to a live charger). Have tried different USB cables and chargers, reinstalled iOS 5.1.1, same results. iPhone 4S
my IPhone 4S 64g is not rebooting it just shut down by itself and is not restarting all it is doing is showing the apple logo and shuting down every time i try to restart
