IPhone 4s :: How To View Devices Using Cell Number To Receive Texts
Jun 2, 2014
My family has a lot of devices and they all use my apple ID which allows texts to go to all the devices because its registered in my apple id. I think my texts are going to other devices but i dont know which ones. Is there a way to see this without having the device just so i can see a list that is using my cell phone number.
I know how to turn it off but when i do it want to make sure its all of the devices that are turned off from my texts. Also is there any way to make sure that only my phone gets the texts?
Info:
iPhone 4S, iOS 7.1.1, it involves iPads and other iPhones
My iPhone won't let me send texts to someone who used to have an iPhone but doesn't anymore. I can receive texts from them but can't send them texts. Says its an invalid number.
My iPhone 5s won't receive any calls or texts, and I cannot connect to iMessage with my phone number. I recently got my phone last night and I don't know why it's not letting me recieve any calls or texts and not letting me connect to iMessage wiht my phone number.
I have a iphone 4s. Got a new phone number. I can't use any apps because it's saying no cellular data network. I can use all the phone services (call, text). I've restored network settings and completely restored phone. not working.
My cell phone took a bath and shut down. To stay in contact, I'm trying to add my cell number to iMessage on my desktop, but its directing me to sign in on my iPhone. (which i now cannot do)....
I've searched for this without any success. I know there are a bunch of apps out there that will let me send free SMS messages using a new phone number. But are there any that will let me use my existing cell phone number to send free SMS messages?
I want to find an old used device name in my itunes. When I hook up my old phone and try to rename, I can only double click and type in something new. How do it see the names that have been synced to my computer before?
I'm using an iPhone 6+, a Macbook Pro with retina display and an iPad 4th gen. I got the texting on the mac set up once the updates came out and it worked beautifully. A week ago, all I did was change the password to my apple id, logged back in and now I can't text from my macbook or my iPad. I've logged out and back in a million times, changed my network settings, double checked I'm logged in on all devices, I've used both my original apple id with my @yahoo account and with my @icloud (honesty, I don't even know where the @icloud one comes from, I only use my @yahoo to sign in), and there's just nothing. I'm hoping theres something I can do besides a factory reset on both.
Info: MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)
My iPhone 4S has been working on and off for as long as I've had it. There are times when I can't make or receive calls or send or receive texts. When I attempt to make a call, it never rings and when I try to end these calls, it doesn't register that the call has ended. People receive these calls but when they answer, there is silence. If people call me, I don't get any notification of this.
When I send texts, the loading bar at the top of the page never reaches the end - the same things happens: people receive the texts but when they reply it never reaches me.I have replaced the phone and it did t make a difference. I am with Vodafone and I'm always in full reception when this happens. When I connect to wifi, the text messages (but not missed calls) come through.
I have an iPhone with sprint, and it has worked more than amazingly prior to this. It wasn't until last night around 12am that this started. I have had the phone for 4 to 5 months now. The bars in the top left are flat and occasionally one will pop up. I can t make calls and texts are slow to or just don't send at all. I was messing around on my download app in the browser and it closed and then thu problem arises. I have deleted the app even turned on and off my phone several times and turned airplane mode on and off several times. Please help:/ this is not an issue with location, and everytime I make calls it just says "calling mobile..."
I don't like when things from my phone sync to my iPad or iPod, so I am wondering if there is a way to keep the texts on my phone and off of everything else. I share my iPad with others and don't want to be in the middle of a conversation when all of a sudden it just appears while someone else is using the iPad. In addition, I don't want the messages to syn to the computer when I plug my phone in, as I also share the computer with others. This has kept me from using iMessage because of how iCloud works
I live in an area that has no ATT service or any other service yet I use an iphone 4 with ATT service. My husband uses a T-mobile Android and while neither of us receive any cell signal, when our WIFI is on, my husband can receive and make phone calls with his cell phone. I on the other hand have not been able to figure out how the iphone may be able function in a similar way.
I have an iphone 4s. I was getting sms from my friend’s phone till he recently bought an iphone 6. Now his messages are going to my IPad mini but not my iphone 4s. I can send messages to his iphone 6 from my iphone 4s but not receive them.
I haqve just moved to Tenerife and got a movistar sim. I can receive calls and texts but cant send texts. I have tried to resend the service books but it wont allow me saying "your device had a problem connecting to the server". When i try send a text it says "requested facility not implented". What do I do?
my iphone was just stolen and i was wondering if it is possible that apple would be able to know if its been being used on another account or if someone else has registered it under a new apple id
I have a number of texts on my old 8220 that I want to keep; I recently got a new 8220 but startd using it before I had transferred the data from the old one so have a new set of texts to keep.
I made a back-up before transferring the data, but it doesn't seem to be possible to have the texts from both devices as the transfer substituted the old set for the new rather than adding them as I expected. way to combine the two sets of texts?
My wife and I both have iphones but we are receiving each others messages and sometimes phone calls even though different phones. What is causing this? Both phones registered under the same user. Means she is seeing my texts messages and vice versa.
After coming home from being overseas (where i used imessage through a Wi-Fi instead of activating an international data plan) all my texts look like they are from my email address, not my phone number. I have gone to Settings>Messages and toggled the iMessage on and off. I also changed the Settings>Messages>Receive At>Caller ID to be my phone number... Neither have fixed the problem. It even does it when I turned my wi-fi setting off and force it to use my data plan. The only way I could get it to work was to turn off iMessage all together.
I have the iphone 4 but with the 4s update. i can only receive texts that are imessage i cannot recieve it from someone who doesnt have an iphone 4s and its stressing me out cause people think im ignoring them because i dont get their tects and they do not get mine. i only recieve the tects that are blue.
I have the 4s and am on the Verizon network in northeast Ohio. My step-mom and sister that have iPhones can't text me, but my father and other sister who do not have iPhones can send to me. We are all on Verizon. I have had a number of friends with iPhones (likely on Verizon) tell me the same thing - that I don't get their messages. I can text all of them and they can respond to my texts, however if they are originated by the iPhone user on Verizon I will not receive.
