A week or so ago, my iphone deleted a photo editing app, and as I went to redownload it, it gave me the option to open the app (which was not on my phone), but not to reinstall it. it did the same thing with a music app the next day. now it's at the point that I cannot download any app; deleted or new.

has always worked fine, i view on the phone and they stay til i either delete or view on my computer. but today they have just started vanishing from my phone after i recheck my mails and when i go onto my laptop they are not there at all. I've checked and its still set to ask me before it deletes but it is and i cant find out whats happening . I've not changed any settings either . it just started of its own accord. help please as I've lost some important mails already.

I try to sync the phone to the desktop all of the old apps that are on the laptop are deleted and vice versa.

I tried this last night by holding my finger on the app until it jiggled then pushed the "x" in the corner. At first I thought, maybe it shows if you have it installed, went to another app that I have installed, wasn't there. Then I thought maybe gift the app, but Pandora is free, why would you gift a free app? Then I thought, well this is how you show if an app will be made for multitasking, so i checked Skype, wasn't there. So i was wondering if anyone had an idea of what the + means. And I think it's only 4.0 related because my friends who are still on 3.1.3 don't see it in their app store.
