On my girlfriends iphone it is not possible to create a backup without a password. I cannot remark the tick. All backups I create have a password. The problem is, that we forgot the password, which was set once.
I don´t want to get back old backups! I want to create a new one on my computer (not in the cloud), but without a password. Is there a possibility?Â
Is it possible to create a backup image of your iPhone?I know you can backup using iTunes but it doesn't exactly back up everything on your phone. Is there a way to backup your phone with some software such as Northon Ghost.
I wish to create a 'simple' backup of my Contacts, stored on my iPhone4, on my PC via iTunes WITHOUT syncing it to ANY email software, like Yahoo, Outlook, Windows, etc.... Apps or music are straight forward, but phone contacts appears not.
I've been trying to find a way to create a password protected file that I can use on my iphone and ipad for sensitive information. I've tried the password protection on Pages for mac, but once the file is opened in Pages on IOS, there's no way to close it.So, now I think I have a solution by creating a pdf file and adding a password to it, using Preview on mac.
1. create a file using textedit, and Export to pdf.
2. open that pdf in Preview and Export to pdf, with a password.
3. add this encrypted file to the iTunes library.
4. sync the iphone / ipad
5. use iBooks on the IOS to open the file. It will ask for the password. To close, the file, quit the iBooks App.
It looks like this meets my needs. BTW, if you're using windows instead of the mac, you can install libreoffice and use it to create the password protected pdf, then just add it to iTunes and sync the iphone. So, my question is for those who know the inner workings of the mac and IOS, and is whether this is actually secure or is this file crackable?
I have a K810i and would like to take a backup of my text SMS. I have searched for this topic in these forums and it seems that there does not seem to be a way to do so. However, after using PC Suite, I am quite confused. Limiting ourselves to PC Suite for now, here are my doubts:
1. Using PC Suite, is there any way to create a backup of my text SMS? 2. Can the backups be stored in text format so that I can just browse through them like text files? I hate to depend on PC Suite just for viewing some text. 3. Can I restore this backup in case the SMSes on my phone are lost by accident? 4. What does the PC Suite Archive do? I copied my SMSes from the phone to a new archive and they are visible even when the phone has been disconnected from the PC.
I can see that PC Suite creates a bunch of text files in random order for these archived SMS.
Is there any way possible to actually make a backup image of my 1020?
The only other smartphone I've had prior to this was an iPhone and one thing Apple did right was making a backup image. If I had to get my phone replaced, I'd just sync it with iTunes and it the new phone immediately had all the settings and screens my old phone had right down to whatever websites I had up last.
I see there are backup options on here but it doesn't seem to actually make an image.
I want to backup my contact, there are 619 entries - Mark all entries of contact - Create a backup from phone memory to memory card - It can only copy 45 entries, the rest was not copied
I can't log with the Blackberry ID, I forgot the password. And I tried to create a new account with a different email and is not working. It is possible to recover a password or create a new account?

I'm trying to copy all of my text message inbox (SMS messages) to my pc. I've tried to use Nokia PC Suite, but it only detects 66 messages but there is over 300 in my inbox!?I have tried to save the messages on the memory card, but it still only detects 66 messages Maybe someone know where on the memory card the messages are stored? I can't seem to find the right folder?
Last night I did a manual backup of my iPhone 4S to my computer (Windows 7). I proceeded to restore my phone, and then restore from backup, only to be prompted with a message that asked me for a password. I do not remember ever giving a password, so I made several guesses. I tried the password for the admin account on my computer, email passwords, Apple ID password...but did not succeed. I would also like to note that "Encrypt iPhone backup" is NOT checked on iTunes, and I did not just un-check it.Â
Is there a way of recovering my data from my backup? I would really like my notes, messages, and contacts back.
i have forgot my password for encrypted iphone backup. i have upgraded the os but unable to restore from the backup which is having all my contacts and etc.. can i get the contacts by any means from the encrypted backup.
Returned home to restore my phone from previous backup made a day earlier and all of a sudden a password encryption was needed to access my last saved back up. Has anyone been able to negate this requirement affectively? And if so with a Mac? I am really really frustrated as I need my text messages out of my last backup as evidence in a custody battle with my ex wife.
I have backed up my iphone before updating the software. The backup is in my itunes but it asks for a password, i didnt put a password in and now cant access my data for my phone.
And only on boot / startup? I want to create a password when I turn on the Droid, but once its on - just requre the normal screen swipe to use the device (I don't want to have to enter a password each and every time I try to use my phone!)
