WI-FI connect of XPERIA Ray to router 75mbit/s, but copying speed from smb disk with ES explorer 6mbit/s. (Micro SD Card Class 10) WI-FI connect of netbook to router is 54mbit/s and copying speed 27 mbit/s! Why ray copies 4 times slower then netbook?
Recently, I updated my xperia Z3 DUAL (D6633) to a 23.4.A.1.232_R4C firmware version. After that, I realized that internet browsing using WIFI connection is slow. Page takes too long to load.
Tried using either Chrome and Firefox. Results are the same. Disabling WIFI and navigating with mobile data (3G/4G) runs fine.
Made factory reset, clear cache and software repair using Phone Companion. Problem remains.
I tried other wifi netwoks. Tried same wifi using other devices. Problem is with Z3.
Sometimes, touching was not enabled when I tried to slide the menu page (with an menu icon) on certain apps and, slide menu page on the left of some websites or by tapping on the menu icon on those sites; I have had to tap the second time or so to make it responded.
Next, connecting Z3 with Wi-Fi sometimes took past a minute over till I opened Wi-Fi setting (where from there I can view Wi-Fi networks).
I'm just wondering if I'm the only one who have Xperia Z3 have the glitches mentioned above. Will Sony Mobile provides a more better system update than the current version 4.4.4 in near future?
I bought an Xperia Ray last Saturday because my HTC Salsa was struggling to connect and stay connected to my home wifi and also had internal memory problems (not enough internal memory)..Now I'm having different wifi problems with the Ray.It connects but the connection is very slow although nothing else is accessing the wifi and when my husband connects with his Samsung Galaxy it is fine and very fast. Every time the screen light goes out (set to every 10 mins at the moment) it seems to drop the wifi connection and when I "wake " it again it has just the mobile connection but starts to connect again straight away, unfortunately this is not fast.
I read a few posts yesterday about having slow WiFi speeds while Bluetooth is on. I couldn't figure why my speeds were so slow on WiFi at home and at my sister's house. Like barely over 1mbps. Then I saw the article , turned BT off and my speeds were over 25. I don't know if this is just an LG G3 issue or for others too after lollipop. I just got the LG Watch Urbane and this won't cut it if I want to keep this going. I use WiFi way more and will return the watch if I can't figure out a fix.
I have noticed recently that my Iphone 3GS only achieves speeds of about 6 Mbps when using the speedtest.net app to check. About 6 months ago I was achieving 12-14 Mbps. Also, my laptop (Though 802.11n) achieves 37 Mbps. I realise that my iphone 3GS only has b/g wifi technology, but surely it should be faster than it is, especially in relation to what it achieved before and also in relation to my laptop speeds?(I am running the latest OS)
Now I would have thought my 9650 would be just as fast on the internet as my laptop is via wi-fi. WRONG! why is that? I have 3G also and its not very fast. Is it me? or just BB's in general?
Per the wifispeedtest, I have a signal strength of between 74 and 86%. Per a signal strength meter on my phone I have a signal of about -84 which to me is not that bad. I have a wilson signal booster in my house. It is approximately 30 feet from my computer and the phone itself is right there with the booster. I seem to get better service with it there. However, connection is slow and sometimes just goes away. I get 4g in and out where I live but it is spotty.Seems to me with such a signal, I should have better connection. Should I?
A couple months ago I've noticed slow WiFi download speeds which makes it impossible to watch YouTube in hd. Laptop's speeds are fine so I don't think its the router (both 2.4ghz).
When my phone is connected to WiFi I get at best .8 mps on a speed test and around 12 when connected to 4g. Every other device on the same router is working fine.
My s6 is slow on Wi-Fi. It want at first but after about two weeks it is a slug. No matter what Wi-Fi I use. Multiple factory resets, clearing the cache partition etc.. Speed test are good, 15-25ms ping, 35-60mbps but it takes about Minute to locate a network to test from..
I Just got a iphone 5s..it takes ages to download a app from the appstore over wifi. There is nothing wrong with the wifi as I also own a galaxy s5 and wifi works just fine on it.
I like my e73 that i got a part of t-mobile upgrade with full price option. i like the fact that it quickly connected to the web etc usnig WiFi inside my house - i had some hiccups connecting at other places and checking my gmail using WAP. but a bigger problem, when i head out of my house - my e73 phone goes from wifi (pink hotspot tmobile circle) to 3g - i live in dallas fort worth metro area. i see many bars (horizontal lines stacked) to show a good 3g reception. after i have crossed the street corner, my cell phone is not able to go through the contacts book to call someone. as soon as i reboot the cell ph, it is all normal. making contacts, other folders run on memory card memory, did not fix it. i have hte latest patches - all got thro wifi.
Is it just me or is the downloading of apps via WiFi really slow? Works fine on mobile network and browsing the web on WiFi works normally too, it's just downloading apps that's slow. Just reset my phone to fix my GPS (which seems to work now), at this rate it'll be a long time before my apps are downloaded again.
After being connected to WiFi for a while the wifi speeds drop to less than a quarter of their normal speeds, e.g. at home 6 Mbps drops to 1.4 Mbps. It is the same at work connecting to an enterprise level AP (although speed drop is 30 Mbps to about 5 so less of a problem).
I know it is device related as other devices tested at the same time are at the right speed.
Toggling WiFi off then on again returns everything to normal speed.
It's like it reverts to power saving mode. Didn't have this problem with my 4 or current N7.
Using your BlackBerry 9900's WiFi hotspot feature.. other devices can connect but the browsing experience on the other devices is worse than 56k dialup.I'm using a Bold 9900 7.1 Bundle 1646 (v7.1.0.523) on Virgin (Bell)'s network.
I just purchased the OtterBox for my iphone 4S, and it seems that now my wi-fi while at home is very very slow. Just wondering if the OtterBox could slow my connection, as I am not sure where on the iphone or how it connects (speaks) to my router.
the wifi on my X has become increasingly slow but only on the down stream connection. speed is about 500kbs where upstream is 5.5mbs. vie tested other devises on wifi and they all get in the 12-20mbs range, and prior to noticing this i had tested my x with 8-12mbs down. nothing has changed on the router since this has occurred. after struggling to try and fix it, i reset my droid to factory and it still its a wall at 500kbs. i used speed test for both the old numbers and new numbers. both the app and the website agree on speeds the device is getting over a wifi connection. after this i also tried changing the settings to an open network that did not advertise its ssid, this did not change the results. the tests that had the 8-12 range were done from july last year to december, i switched routers in october so i was testing frequently for awhile. both routers had roughly the same speed for the droid but were faster for 5ghz range N devices.I first noticed the slower speed in late january and started testing then router is a netgear wndr3700?
I have tried all I could think of, clearing cache out, checking for conflicting devices, tried uninstalling some apps I think my be the culprit, rebooting the device, the router, and the Modem etc..... The problem still occurs, I'm not sure if this started since the 5.1 update or prior, all I can say I only noticed it a few days ago, when I decided to do a Speedtest, I know I have done Speedtest before, and never noticed this issue.
Once I'm connected to WiFi and my Bluetooth is turned on, my WiFi speeds are slow and bounce from 2Mb's to 5 Mb's, and when I say bounces the speeds go up and down during the process. As soon as I turn Bluetooth off the speeds are back above the 30 Mb's.
I have tried many of the recommendations around, but have yet to find a solution, Is it a LP issue ?? any other device I have connected I have no issues, I even have a back up Huawei, on LP, and have no issues when BT is turned on.
Heck, even my wife's 1st Gen Moto X has no issues. Since I only realized this recently, today when I get to work I will try it when I get to work and see if it does the same on WiFi there when BT is turned on.
For the most part, I like the 950 a lot. I did a hard reset to try to get the upgrade, no update. it fixed my music library problem though. That was nice.
I activated my insider on the phone. It showed the update. So I updated the phone. NICE!!!!!! I thought. My laptop, on wifi is about 30gb/sec download. My phone? about 500kbps/sec down.
I've got a LG g3 running Android 5.0 and wifi speeds are drastically reduced if the bluetooth is turned on. Bluetooth doesn't need to be connected to anything, if it's on my speeds are down to about 0.2Mbps and with Bluetooth off they're around 25 Mbps. I've tried a factory reset but didn't make a difference.
The wireless internet speeds on my 32GB iPhone 3GS are painfully slow.I have an Airport Extreme router and my MacBook Pro and iPad are both great. Here are averages from 10x Speedtest.net (or their app) runs:
When I ran the speed tests, each device was the only one operating on the wireless network at the time. I also tried 2 other speedtest apps on my iPhone and they produced similar results.Do you think Apple will replace my iPhone, or will they just tell me it's operating normally and to deal with it?
Just got 2 new iPhones and both have issues with wifi. It shows that they are connected but it's either so very slow or says server not responding. I never had any problems with my 3GS and I know the wireless is working.
Email sending from home wifi has become almost impossible. It may take 2 hours to send. Receiving seems fine. It was okay until recently. I have reset the phone to no avail. Funny thing is it`s fine on 3g
I never had the issue with the 2G/3G/3GS, but once I got an iPhone 4 at launch and then the 4S, the issue has always been the same. It doesn't matter which network I connect to. Websites load incredibly slowly, apps download slowly, and it's impossible to stream anything or install an iOS update via wi-fi.
I connect to the same networks on my iPad 2 (as well as multiple laptops, both PCs and Macs) and it's always very, very fast.
The funny part to me is that the router is an AirPort Extreme, though I have the same issues with both Cisco and Netgear routers (haven't had any others to try).
